"so that's where you were last night?" asami asked as she sat down.

the kids were at school and we were having coffee to relax after the stress of getting all the kids up and taking them to school on time.

"yeah. uhm.. that's kinda what i wanted to talk to you guys about." i sighed.

korra and asami look at each other and then at me again.

"what's wrong?" asami asked softly.

i sighed and started to explain. "i was undercover last night."

"why?" korra looks at me weird.

"back before syaoran was born, like way before we even got pregnant, lin told me that the triple threats and the red monsoons are teaming up to.. get me." i said.

korra had a look on her face that scared me.

"and.. she told me back then it was handled but years later, they've been looking for me. and last night, i figured out that.. uh.. they're figuring out who the kids are and where we live."

"what? y/n!" asami eyes sharpened.

"even yasuko? what the hell? and you've kept this from us for, what, fourteen years?!" korra scowled.

"i know. i know, it sounds bad. but it wasn't this bad until recently. i swear. and i am doing everything i can to protect them." i said, feeling tears beginning to build up.

"obviously not if they know where our kids are going to school!" asami yelled out.

"listen, please, i-"

"what kind of a mother are you? if you can't even protect your own kids?"

i woke up with a jolt in my bed. i gasped and breathed our quietly.

i look over at the alarm clock.

four fifteen a.m.

i sighed out and rubbed my face in frustration.

"mm.. y/n?" korra muttered from beside me. i look over at her.

"you had a nightmare?" she asked with a sluggish tone.

"...yeah. i did. i'm okay, just go to sleep." i whispered.

she looks at me concerned, which even in the darkness i could see her perfectly.

she kissed me softly before pulling me in closer by the waist.

she muttered sweet nothings above my head while hugging me close. and the guilt just increased.

i managed to fall asleep to the sound of her soft snores but in the morning, i couldn't hold it in any longer.

whatever that nightmare meant, it won't happen in real life.

at least i hope it doesn't.
