"Young love tends to be based on nothing but feelings. The couple has not yet faced and overcome a challenge or difficulty together. They are passionate about each other. They think about each other constantly and want to spend all their time"

I think if I went much longer without being near Angie, I might actually lose my mind.
I thought I could handle it. I thought I was doing fine. All summer, I kept my distance. Focused on anything but her. But the second I saw her — the second she stepped into the room, it was like something ignited under my skin. I could feel her. The power radiating off her like a current, pulling at me in ways I couldn't even explain.
I didn't know where we stood. No one had a problem with us anymore, not like before, but it wasn't about them. It was about us. About the way we circled each other now like we didn't know whether to fight or fall. The tension hung heavy, thick in the air every time she was near, and we both pretended we didn't notice.
But I noticed.
God, I noticed everything.
I didn't know what she wanted. And it scared the hell out of me that maybe she didn't want me at all anymore. But after today, at the clinic — the way she touched me, the way she looked at me, the way neither of us moved when we should've — I wasn't overthinking it. She still felt something. And that was enough to keep my head spinning.
Only now we had a job to do, and we were all crammed into Derek's loft, and I had to sit here like I wasn't still aching from the feel of her hand on my chest.
"What do you... what do you think you're gonna do, Derek? You gonna punch through the wall?" Stiles' voice cut through my thoughts, sharp and irritating. The guy never knew when to shut up.
Derek didn't even flinch. "Yes, Stiles. I'm gonna punch through the wall."
"Oh, okay, big guy! Let's see it! Big ol' fist. Don't be shy, big bad wolf!" Stiles kept going, needling him.
Angie, arms crossed tight, muttered under her breath, "Please tear out his tongue so he won't talk."
Everyone looked at her. Including me. And damn, even pissed off, she was... dangerous. She radiated that sharp, lethal beauty — the kind that made my pulse race in ways I hated admitting.
"What?!" she snapped. "Why are we even listening to him? What does he know?!"
"Angie, I know it's a full moon, but that doesn't mean you have to be a total—" Stiles started, but the look Ava and Derek gave him shut him up real fast.
I grinned despite myself.
"No, no, let him finish. I'd love to hear what he has to say," Angie challenged, her eyes gleaming with that spark I missed so much.
But Stiles had the sense to back down.
Derek moved things along. "I'll get through the wall. Who's following me?"
