"Young love tends to be based on nothing but feelings. The couple has not yet faced and overcome a challenge or difficulty together. They are passionate about each other. They think about each other constantly and want to spend all their time"

"I don't understand how long you've actually survived here..." Lydia muttered, looking down at the plate passed to her as she sat back on her bed. "You guys never leave?"
"Not really. That's why there's a bathroom in here — no need to," Ella replied, starting to eat like it was normal.
"Do you think you can get me out by tonight?" Lydia asked, watching her.
"Yes, but we should go over the plan. When that gate opens, you run to the nearest exit and don't look back."
"That simple?" Lydia raised a brow.
"Yes. I'll do the rest — it's the only way this works." Ella didn't seem bothered by any of it, like she was perfectly fine staying in this place forever.
"And what do you have to do?" Lydia pressed.
"It's better if you don't know. If you do... you might look back. And then we're both screwed," Ella answered, eating her disgusting food like it was nothing.
Lydia couldn't even touch hers. Her stomach twisted at the thought of what might be happening outside.
"What's wrong?" Ella asked.
"Just worried for my friends... I already lost one. I don't want to lose another. It kills me not knowing what's going on."
"Tell me about them," Ella said, and Lydia looked up. "I never really got to make friends out there. I wanna hear what it's like."
Lydia smiled a little. Ella didn't deserve to be here either.
"Well... my best friend's a werewitch. We've known each other since we were kids. Been through everything. No matter what, we always find our way back."
"Banshees and witches always have that connection," Ella said.
"It's comforting. Then there's Scott and Stiles — kind of like me and Angie. They've gotten so close to us. They're probably losing their minds looking for us right now. Isaac too — he's crazy about Angie."
"Her boyfriend?"
Lydia nodded. "Yeah. And me... it's complicated. Used to have someone, but it was a mess. Now there's Aiden... he used to be the enemy. But with me... it's different."
Ella smiled softly. She could tell Lydia loved her people.
"You don't deserve to be here," Ella sighed, getting up and grabbing something hidden away. "I can help you reach your friends. But it can't be Angie. The witches have her. Do you know any others?"
