"Young love tends to be based on nothing but feelings. The couple has not yet faced and overcome a challenge or difficulty together. They are passionate about each other. They think about each other constantly and want to spend all their time"

"We have to be smart about this..." Angie paced back and forth, trying to piece together a plan. They were definitely caught off guard by Stiles being the one the Nogitsune chose to possess.
"Stiles, out of all people though?" Tyler added, his confusion mirroring everyone else's.
"Okay, yeah, we're all surprised," Ava said firmly, "but we have to move now. That is not Stiles right now—with them, he will hurt them. We have to go." Everyone nodded in agreement. "Just a few of us for now. I'll go—Derek, Angie, and Isaac. The rest of you should stay back. We have to see what we're up against first; we can't afford to tire out."
"We have to see what we're dealing with before coming up with a plan," Angie suggested, steady despite the tension.
"Okay, but you guys have to keep us posted. We need to know you're alright," Allison warned, and the group nodded as they began packing to leave.
Once they were gone, the ones left exchanged looks—unable to fully grasp that it was finally happening. It felt surreal. The adrenaline buzzed beneath their skin, but the nervousness hadn't fully hit yet.
They didn't know exactly what they were walking into, but once they found out, everything was going to hit them all at once.

In the car, the ride was silent—each lost in their own thoughts.
Ava knew that by performing that spell, James would be alarmed. He would know what she did and would have to act fast. But sitting around waiting for him was eating her alive. She wanted it all over with.
Derek was still in shock. Stiles. Of all people. No one expected it, but Derek also knew this was one of James' games—he was going to pick who they least expected.
Angie kept glancing over at Isaac, wondering if he might snitch on her. She understood his worry, but she knew the only way through this was herself. Peter had been right—she had a strength that hadn't been fully unleashed, and James was counting on that.
He knew Ava wouldn't allow Angie to put herself in harm's way, but what he didn't expect was that Angie was willing to do anything. He hadn't seen her at her full potential because Ava never let her realize how powerful she really was. It was meant to protect her—too much power too soon would do her more harm than good.
But none of that mattered anymore.
Angie was willing to do whatever it took, and all they could do was support her.
