Bed Time AU

"Nooo! I don't wanna!" You heard the child, Luffy whine out to you. Your friends, Ace and Sabo, were out partying while you had to take care of their little sibling. You rubbed your temples at the little bratty acting kid that tossed and turned on the sofa. "You have too. It's passed your bed time." You said pointing to the clock above the TV. "If I can't read it, then it ain't time to go to bed!" He said, siting up and crossing his arms.

You grumbled and gritted your teeth. 'This little-' You decided not to say anything about the small kid and sighed. You grabbed him and held him in your arms, carrying him up the stairs into his room. You tossed him onto his bed and rushed to the door. "Good night." You said, with a menacing smile. You shut the door and held it shut, know that he would try to get out. You giggled as he tried to opened the door, but failed due to your strength.

All of a sudden, the door flung up and you flung with it. You found yourself tumbling on Luffy's bed, falling on the other side. 'What the hell?!' You thought as you saw the kid snicker and run out the door. You gritted your teeth and mumbled curse words, getting up and rushing after the kid. You went down stairs, but slowed when you didn't see Luffy anywhere. You narrowed your eyes and stepped onto the cold floor, skimming the area of the downstairs.

You heard rustling in the kitchen, seeing the fridge wide open. You tip-toed into the kitchen and leaned over the counter to see Luffy munching on their left over steak. 'Make sure Luffy stays out of the meat.' You remembered Sabo saying. You gasped and quickly ran around the counter and grabbed the kid on the floor. "SPIT IT OUT!" You demanded. You snatched the meat out of his hand and put it back in the container it was in.

You let him get his last chews in before slamming the fridge door and taking him up stairs. 'Damn! I hope Ace and Sabo won't release there's that much gone.' You said, biting your lip. You held Luffy like a baby, carrying him back up stairs and into his room. "You keep causing me trouble! If you were hungry, why didn't you just say that?" You said, crossing your arms over your chest and tapping your foot.

Luffy only pouted and looked away from you, doing the same thing. You clicked your tongue and left. "Good night." You said in a slightly irritated voice. You went down stairs and checked the time. '11:30!? He stayed up way too late. And where the hell are Ace and Sabo?' You thought to yourself as you sat on the sofa. Suddenly, you felt your head get hit with a cushion, making you immediately look back at the culprit.

You felt your face get hot and chase after Luffy, who dashed up stairs and into his room, locking it. "You little brat! Open this freaking door!" You yelled, banging onto the door. You heard your phone ring from down stairs. You bit your lip, looking at the stairs and at the door. "Stay in there! This door better be unlocked when I get back up here!" You said, running down stairs and answering your phone that ringed on the sofa.

"Yes?" You said with a fake smile and a somewhat calm voice. "Oh! S-Sabo!" You stuttered, surprised to hear from the blonde. "Hey. I'm calling to see if Luffy is in bed yet." He said, you hearing the music overlapping his words but still making out what he said. You took a minute to respond as you saw Luffy strut down the stairs and look at you, making silly faces. Your hand went into a fist when you saw it. "Y/n? Hello?" Sabo questioned.

"O-oh, um, yea, h-he's in bed." You stuttered, putting the phone back up to your ear and glaring at Luffy who was certainly not in bed. He now stood in front of you, taunting you with funny faces and actions. You attempted to grab him, uttering small curse words. "Uh, Y/n? Are you alright?" Sabo asked you with a hint of worry. 'Well, definitely not like i'm chasing around this little ten year old kid...' You thought.

"Y-yea! Everything's good on my end." You fibbed, chasing Luffy around the counter of the kitchen and up the stairs. "So much thudding..." You heard Ace say suddenly, assuming he was leaning into the phone as well. "Oh uh, I just slipped on some ice! That's all!" You said in panic as you chased Luffy into his room and slammed the door shut, locking it. You guarded the door to make sure Luffy go no where near it to escape.

"Are you okay? Sounds like you slipped more than once..." Ace muttered. "I-i'm fine! Go enjoy your party! Bye!" You said hanging up before they said anything. You put your phone in your shorts pockets and stood in front of the door. "Now lay down and go to bed!" You told the small child, who sat on the bed and crossed his arms. "But i'm not tired!" He told you and pouted. You sighed and went to sit on the bed with him, dragging him into your lap.

You slowly started to hum a lullaby (it being op 20 of one piece bcuz i like that one a lot). You saw Luffy's eyes get heavy from it, slowly resting his head into your chest. You watched as he drifted to sleep, slight snores escaping his lips. You felt your own eyes get heavy, just from taking care of this reckless child. You laid him on the bed and went to unlock the door and go down stairs. "Wait..." You heard the small boy utter.

You looked back with your tired eyes and sighed with a smile. You went to go rest with Luffy, him snuggling into your chest. You drifted off to sleep with him.
