Miranda was having a rough day. She found out about Henry and it ached her heart. One because he was a trial patient and two because Teddy was going to be crushed. It didn't take long for her to fall and she fell deeply in love with him and now he was gone.

Needless to say, she just wasn't up for surgery anymore today, she couldn't lose anyone else. But sadly she already had another come in, so she prevailed.

"Okay looks like a grade 4 liver lac. " Miranda informed looking over the patient on the table. "Grey, do you want to do a liver repair?" Miranda asked

"Absolutely," Grey responded. Ben stared at Miranda because he was worried about her. That was something he would never stop doing.

He wanted to ask her out again, but he didn't want to rush her. He would wait for her to come to him. After the night she made it a point to tell him that she and the nurse were through he knew her heart was still his to claim.

"It wasn't my trial that killed him. The man suffered from Von-Hippel Lindau. That's what killed him."

"Well, I wasn't Implying that your trial--

"Let's focus on the living patients, and not the dead ones, Okay?" Miranda snapped staring at him which cause Ben to sigh and Meredith to look confused. Great so we are back to the first day we met. Ben thought to himself. Suddenly their patient began to get tachycardic and his temperature was skyrocketing. Miranda looked around.

"Wh-what'd you do?" She asked Meredith.

"Nothing. I'm just irrigating."

"His temp spiked. C-O-2 levels are through the roof." Ben announced and Miranda cut her eyes to him.

"Well, what's the problem?" She asked quickly.

"Uh, he's tachycardic. Increased heart rate. Patients burning up." Ben listed before feeling the boy's head. "I didn't use Sux, but I did use Sevoflurane...

Ice. we need ice." Ben yelled finally figuring out what was going on.

"Wait. Now this is my patient--"

"Run. Get Ice, now." Ben instructed ignoring her.

"Right away, Doctor." The nurse responded running out of the OR.

"Kids about to go into organ failure. I'm pushing Dantrolene. Let's get some cooling blankets."  He added. "And turn the temperature down in here as low as it can go."

Miranda stood for a moment. She had been wracking her brain for two minutes trying to figure out what was going on with this patient. Increased body temp, Co2 levels, and heart rate.

"Oh, my God. Malignant Hyperthermia.  Where's that Ice?" She shouted as well.

"Let's get another cooling blanket in here," Meredith told the nurse to her right. After they filled his inside with Ice.

"Grey, let's repack this liver."

"Gelfoam. What's next?" Meredith asked looking at Ben.

"We gave him Dantrolene to relax his muscles and Lidocaine to calm his heart. He's on ice inside and out. Only thing left to do now is wait." He explained.

"Alright let's settle in. It could be a while." Miranda told them covering the young boy's open stomach with towels.

"Dr. Warren... isn't Malignant Hyperthermia genetic?" Grey turned to Ben and he nodded quickly right along with Miranda.

"You gotta warn them--" Miranda insisted.

"Already on it." Meredith said before taking off running."

Miranda stood with a towel over her hands while Ben leaned back in his chair watching the monitor and watching her. She could feel his eyes on her and did her best not to turn in his direction. She was absolutely freezing and doing her best to manage.
