Ben got off his flight after landing in Seattle. He missed Miranda so much he couldn't take it. It has only been two weeks but he needed to see, talk and touch her. All of those things needed to happen in person.

He already thought about coming back home because this separation was too much but he knew he could do it. He had to push through and finish.

Taking a cab home he saw her car parked in the driveway and he unlocked the door. Looking around, the majority of the lights were off so he knew she was sleeping. He told her about putting the alarm system on when he was no longer here. She was so hard-headed.

Ben walked upstairs and quietly walked inside their room, grateful she left the room door open. After quickly taking his clothes off he climbed into bed spooning her. "Hey, baby." He whispered nuzzling her neck, dam he needed this.

"Aww, when did you get here?" Miranda voiced happily with a hint of raspiness from her sleep as she turned over to look him in the eyes.

"I came here as soon as I landed. I missed you, Miranda." Ben informed.

"I missed you too, so much...how long do you have?"

"I leave tomorrow night to get back on time for my shift the next morning."

"Okay, I'll call out when we get up and just spend the day with you," Miranda responded leaning in to kiss his lips before laying her head on his chest. She knew that she was about to get a perfect sleep tonight.

"Why didn't you have the alarm on? " He asked.

"I forgot."

"Do I need to call or text you every night as a reminder? This is for you and Tuck's safety. You don't have a man in the house."

"I know baby I'm sorry. It really did slip my mind. I'm going to do better."

"Thank you." He responded rubbing her back.

Miranda woke up the next morning and wiped her eyes. She looked over for Ben and pouted, thinking him being in bed with her last night was a dream until she focused in on the smell of coffee.

Her smile was wide as she slid out of bed and put her slippers on. She walked into the bathroom, brushed her teeth, and wiped her face before grabbing her phone to tell Richard she wasn't coming in today.

She walked out into the kitchen and smiled looking at her fiancé cutting off the stove.

"Good morning!" She chimed walking over to give him a huge hug.

"Good morning my love," Ben replied as he squeezed her hard lifting her off of her feet.

"I don't think you know how happy I am to see you."

"Just as much as I am happy to see you."

"Come on I made us one big plate," Ben said lifting it and walking into their living room.

Miranda grabbed their coffee and followed him.

"So what's been up?" He asked touching her thigh.

" We really are still dealing with the aftermath of the plane crash. Cristina, you know she wasn't hurt as physically as everybody else but mentally she's scarred and still in that traumatic state. They want to put her in the psych ward upstairs and I don't want them to do that. She will never be the same or a surgeon if they pump her full of antidepressants and psychotics."

"Dam." Ben sighed cutting a piece of the waffle. He put syrup on it and then took the fork placing it to her lips.

Miranda bit into the waffle and sighed contently. She missed this man's cooking too. Ben bit a peace too before he looked over at her and pulled her into his arms.
