"Do something..................."
"Me? What do you mean, do something? You're the one that managed to get (Y/n) out. You should have known that she would do something like this. That she wouldn't trust you. And given the time that Zemo was having with her, I'm sure that he was more than happy to go anywhere and do anything that she wanted" Sam replied, as he just looked at Bucky.
"Look.........they could still be here. Maybe they're just in the other bar. Maybe they've just gone to the bathroom................."
"Yeah, and maybe they have stolen a car and are two states away. Maybe (Y/n) is waiting for us somewhere and we are gonna get it where the chicken got the axe. See, I knew that this was a bad idea, but oh no...........you knew better. Why don't you just admit that you still have feelings for her. That the only reason that you thought of her when we needed help, was because you wanted to see her again. This has nothing to do with the Flag Smashers, and everything to do with you............." Sam growled in reply, the two man squaring up to one another, looking every inch like this was going to come to blows. A loud, pained groan thankfully causing the two man to turn. There brows furrowing as into the area stumbled the ex-colonel. His head in his hands, as he clumsily made his way over to Barnes and Wilson.
"What..............? What the hell happened to you.................?" Sam asked, as the baron knocked into a couple of tables, before falling against a pillar.
"I.............I don't know.............The.........the last thing I remember, (Y/n) had taken my hand and pulled me out of sigh when Barnes wasn't looking. I remember kissing her...........but.............then I just woke up on the lavatory floor..............." Zemo explained, as he finally removed his head from his hands. Sam bursting out laughing as he saw something that had been drawn on the Sokovian's forehead with a pen.
"Well, I think that I know where we can find her." The Falcon finally managed to say, as the laugher died down.
"Yeah, and I think that I should be the one to go and get her." Bucky replied. The Winter Soldier quickly making his way out of the doors of the club, leaving Sam to point out the drawn message on Zemo's forehead, as he turned him to look at one of the huge mirrors that lined the walls.
                                                            >>--------------------------------<<
Of all the places...........Of all the stupid things to do. What she really should have done was run and never look back. She should have gotten away, fled to another country. Laid low for a while. But nooooooooooo, she had to come here, and she had had to leave Barnes a hint as to where she could be found.
She knew that it was ridiculous to just sit on a stone bench and stare at a grave. To sit there and talk to a gravestone. To talk to a man that was no more. But he had been the only one that she could think of. The only one that she knew that she could confide in. After all, he had always been a good man in life, and she doubted that anything had changed with his death.
She felt like she had been sat there for hours, just her and an old friend. (Y/n) brushing away the tears, as she had told the silent grave that she wished that he was still there. That she doubted that any of these Flag Smashers would be doing what they were doing if he was still around. But she had also explained that she could understand why he had done what he had done. That true love perhaps only came once in a lifetime, so, if you get the chance to go back and have that love, then.............well, then you should. And maybe if she was given the same opportunity, she would do exactly the same.
She could still remember the day that she had heard of his death. She was alone, as always in her cell. The tears refusing to stop as she had mourned his loss. As she wondered what the world would do without him. What Sam would do without him. But most of all, what Bar..............what Bucky would do without him. Her mind then going to him, to the Winter Soldier, hoping that loss wouldn't make him do something foolish. Wouldn't bring back all the nightmares and horror that plagued him. (Y/n) finding herself praying to any god that might be willing to listen to a sinful soul such as her, to watch over the old soldier. To protect him. For despite everything, everything that had happened between them, and as much as she liked to pretend that she didn't, she still loved him and knew that she always would. So, perhaps in truth, that was why she was here with an old friend rather than making for the border. Perhaps that was why she had left her little drawing on Zemo's forehead. She couldn't let him get in trouble.
"So...........you got my little message then............?" (Y/n) asked, as she felt someone take a seat next to her on the bench.
"Yeah. Shame you didn't do it with something a little more permanent though.........."
"Well, I was thinking about making it a tattoo for him; but I thought better of it. Would have been funny though..............."
"It would have made my day.............Did you knock him out............?"
"No.........I was going to, but then he just sort of dropped to the floor. So, I dragged him into the toilets, left my little message then climbed out of the window. You know, for a Sokovian, the baron cannot take his drink." (Y/n) explained. Gratefully taking the tissue that was offered her.
"I didn't.............I didn't mean to run.........well, I did, but............I just didn't know if you would let me come here if I asked. And I just wanted to pay my last respects. To have one last conversation with him and see if he could make sense of all of this................."
"And did he......................?"
"Strangely enough.........yeah. Even from beyond the grave, Steve Rogers has a knack of figuring things out and making sense of the strangest situations. So..........what do you say to us giving Steve here some peace and quiet, and we go and sort out these Flag Smashers?" (Y/n) replied, as she finally turned to look at Bucky. Her hand slipping carefully into his.
"Yeah, I think that's a good idea." Bucky agreed, as he slowly got to his feet and helped (Y/n) up. The pair saying their goodbyes to the captain before heading back to the car.
