"Mister Stark. I..............." (Y/n) began, as she held out her hand for the billionaire to take. The rest of her sentence forgotten, as her eyes fell on the handsome man that was stood alongside the billionaire's head of security. His soft wavey brown hair. The glasses that were perched halfway down his nose. His soft eyes, and the purple shirt that clung just right to his form beneath, making her quite forget herself. Her arm falling limp as Tony shook it. A broad smile spreading across the billionaire's lips, as he looked between the woman in front of him and the man to his side. A wicked sparkle glistening in his eyes, as he saw the blush that sat delicately on Bruce's cheeks.

"Its very nice to meet you, Miss (Y/l/n). And I hope you don't mind me bringing my friend Doctor Banner with me................?" Tony replied, as he carefully pulled the proprietor of the book store by the hand and led her over to Bruce. His smile growing even broader, as the pair just looked at one another. The billionaire sure that both of them had stopped breathing.

"Ahem................" Tony finally coughed. Trying not to laugh, as the lady and Bruce suddenly turned to look at him. The blush on their cheeks getting brighter as they realised what they had been doing. The doctor inwardly cringing with the thought of what Tony was going to make of this when they got back into the car.

"I...........of course..........of course I don't mind, Mister Stark. Its.......oh, it's a pleasure to meet you, Doctor Banner." (Y/n) sighed dreamily, as she carefully shook his hand.

"You will have to forgive me, doctor. Its just that I have never seen you as.........well, as you. I have seen multiple pictures of your alter ego; but never you. Perhaps I am just looking in the wrong places. I mean, the mainstream media want to focus on the Hulk because..........because of how he came about and why you become him. They seem to like to make him out to be some kind of awful monster, and I don't think that's fair. Especially not after what happened with the Avengers..............I must confess that when I see him, he sort of always makes me think of ogres, orcs, or trolls even. Not..........not that that's a bad thing. Sorry............I probably read too much........." (Y/n) confessed, as she finally pulled her hand away from the doctors. Feeling slightly embarrassed for not only staring, but then rambling on like a halfwit with the information that you thought the Hulk looked like an overgrown, green orc. She nor Bruce noticing the ever-increasing mischievous twinkle in Tony's eyes.

"Um............Mister Hogan said that you were interested in a book, yourself. If you will allow me a couple of minutes to introduce Mister Stark here Doctor Frankenstein and his creation, perhaps we can discuss it?" (Y/n) added. Giving the doctor a hopefully look. A smile tugging at her lips, as the handsome man in front of her nodded.

"Wonderful..............Now, you will need these, Mister Stark." She said, turning towards Tony and handing him a pair of white cotton gloves before gesturing for him to follow her over to the secured glass room. Bruce watching as the beautiful woman punched a code into a keypad on the door. The glass ingress slowly opening with a soft hiss, before they walked inside the room and the door closed again.

Bruce couldn't help but stare. Lost in a world of his own while Happy perused the books that were on the shelves in the out of the way store that seemed to be from another era, apart from the high tech glass room at its centre, of course. As soon as this Miss (Y/l/n) had looked at him, it was as if the air had been taken from his lungs. As if everything around him had disappeared, well, that was until Tony had had to ruin everything and interrupt this most pleasant of dreams.

His friend had asked him earlier, what he looked for in a woman, and some of what he wanted he had already seen in the store owner; she wasn't part of their crazy life and she seemed to have her own little eccentricities. That, and she didn't seem to mind about the other guy, though he wasn't too sure that comparing the Hulk to orcs, ogres and trolls was much better than what he actually was, especially as Bruce couldn't really think of a good one of those creatures in literature. Well..........unless Shrek counted that was. But he could see that she didn't mean anything by her words. That, as she had said, she read too much. Disappearing into the worlds that surrounded her on the shelves every day. Bruce smiling at the notion that she might just have got herself lost in Middle Earth on more than one occasion.

"Doctor Banner................" A voice came. Bruce looking up at the sound of his name.

"I have left Mister Stark looking over the piece. Now.........the book you were interested in..................?"

"What............Oh, yes, er.......... I was interested in a first edition of Einstein's Relativity. The Special and General Theory. And its Bruce......please." Bruce said, doing his best not to blush again as the lovely woman smiled up at him.

"Bruce......and I'm (Y/n). I must confess that I don't really deal in books like that. But that isn't to say that I can't see what I can find. Though I will tell you that a good copy, a copy that was even signed by Einstein himself wouldn't be cheap. It would be cheaper than what Mister Stark is currently perusing, but a ballpark figure would be................fifteen thousand dollars and up." (Y/n) explained, chuckling as Bruce's eyes went wide.

"Yes, it is a hefty amount to lose from your bank account. But..........just leave it with me. If you have you really set your heart on a copy, I might just know someone." (Y/n) continued, giving Bruce a reassuring smile.

"Well, Miss (Y/l/n)............." An all too familiar voice called out cheerily, once again ruining a nice moment. (Y/n) and Bruce turning to look at Tony who had just left the glass room and was pulling the cotton gloves from his hands.

"Everything appears to be as you explained, now we just have to talk about the price................"

"The price............? The price is as discussed, Mister Stark; eight hundred and fifty thousand dollars. It's fair amount for a first edition copy of Frankenstein, that was published without Mary Shelley's name and is in such good condition. And especially, as I am sure that you are aware, the last one that went up for auction cost one million. I would therefore say that you are making quite the saving, and you won't have to pay the costs of the auction house on top of that.........."

"Ah, I do so love a woman that knows what she has, and what she and it is worth. Eight hundred and fifty thousand dollars............I will transfer it to your accounts when I get back to the compound. And delivery..........."

"Delivery..........? Don't you want to take it with you.............?"

"No. I was actually hoping that you might like to deliver it yourself on Friday evening. You see, I'm having a little soiree then, and I thought you might like to join us. A celebration of a good deal for both of us............"

"Oh, I................"

"Doctor Banner will of course be there, and..............." Tony interrupted. Trying not to grin like the Cheshire Cat as (Y/n)'s eyes twinkled at the prospect of his friend being present.

"Well, I suppose then...................."

"Excellent. Now, if you will excuse us..........I will have Harold here send you the detail of the party. In fact, I will even send him to pick you up. Wouldn't want that book, or you for that matter getting lost now that we have found you, would we..............?" Tony trailed off, before taking (Y/n)'s hand and kissing the back of it gently.

"Until Friday................" The billionaire continued, then turned and pushed Bruce towards the door. Harold staying behind for a moment to talk to (Y/n) as the two Avengers left the shop.

"I didn't know that you were having a party on Friday.........." Bruce said, as Tony pushed him into the waiting car.

"Oh, I wasn't. But I am now..........................."
