"Hey, boss, where do you want these boxes?" One of the employees I had hired for this new restaurant asked me and I looked at him. He was struggling with the boxes that I had ordered. It was the boxes with the new china dishes for the grand opening. The grand opening was only a few days away. I was excited. I had been working on opening this restaurant for the last five months and the day was finally here. I was also excited that this meant my time in Texas was coming to an end. I would soon be able to go home to the love of my life. I would soon be returning to my boyfriend in New York. I was excited.
"Just set it over there in the kitchen, please. Thank you Fred" I told the man and he nodded before going to the kitchen and getting rid of the box. I smiled. This place was looking great. It was a lot of work in the beginning. The townspeople were never keen on my restaurant idea. They told me that my restaurant would be too modern for their older town. I won them over with the modifications. Baker's restaurants and fine dining would be taking over Texas. It was a huge honor. I had managed to place restaurants all over the country and Texas was always a difficult task. I am glad I got it done. I took one last look around the restaurant, watching my new employees getting their jobs done before two familiar faces walked into my restaurant. I smiled at the lovely couple I had connected with when I first arrived here five months ago.
"Owen! Hey, we came to help out" The pink-haired boy exclaimed while waving me over. I smiled at the pair before leaving the table I was previously sat at and walking over to them.
"This is a nice surprise. I thought you were spending the day with aunt Andrea?" I asked the boys while looking at my cousin who smiled while holding his husband's hand.
"We were but then mom insisted we come to help you after Tate here told her that you were working at the restaurant today" My cousin, Travis explained and I shook my head. We both looked at the pinkette who raised his hands in defense.
"She asked me what you were doing, I was just being honest" Tate explained and I chuckled. I should have expected this from Tate. I had only known the man for five months but I knew him enough to know that this is what he does. He doesn't mean any harm.
"Well if you guys want to help, you could ask the chefs if they need anything" I informed the duo. Travis nodded before dragging his husband toward the kitchen with him. I laughed. They surely were cute together. My smile was quickly replaced with a frown at the thought that entered my head. I had someone cute back in New York. I missed Nathan. I sighed before going back to my table and getting some work done. The faster I open this restaurant the faster I can go back to him. Only a few days before I get to be with my Nathan. Only a few days.

I stared at the screen in anticipation. The screen was working to connect me to the call. The connection was taking too damn long. The screen finally started working and I smiled widely when I was met with those gorgeous eyes. I looked at the adorable boy on the other side of the screen and his expression seemed to match mine. I could not believe how much I needed this. I needed to see his face more than anything else in the world. These five months have been so difficult.
"Is it weird that I am incredibly nervous right now?" Nathan asked me with a nervous chuckle and my heart picked up its pace. I was incredibly nervous about this call too. We had agreed to video call each other every week but every time I got nervous. Seeing Nathan's face after so long always made me nervous. He was intimidatingly handsome.
"I get nervous every time we call. I think it's all the anticipation from not seeing each other often" I explained and Nathan nodded. He nervously moved a piece of hair out of his eyes and my eyes followed all his movements. His beautiful eyes were presented to me and I swear I was swooning. I could still not believe how I ended up lucky enough to be dating someone like Nathan. I count my lucky stars every time I think about how we came to be. I never expected to find the love of my life at my best friend Michael's wedding but when I did, I vowed that I would always make him happy. I swear I will be putting a ring around that little finger when I get the chance.
"How are things with the restaurant?" Nathan asked me and I snapped out of my thoughts. He always asked this. I smiled. He was asking when I would be able to come home. I finally had some good news to give him.
"The restaurant is opening tomorrow. I'll be coming home soon" I told him and I watched while his eyes lit up and his smile widened. It was an amazing sight. Being able to bring so much joy to the man I was in love with was one of the best feelings I had ever felt.
"That's great! I'm glad your restaurant is going to be open soon. You must be so excited" He stated calmly and I simply stared at him with a small smile.
"Nathan" I started and his eyes found mine.
"Yeah?" He asked with a cute small voice. Goodness, this boy has completely captured me.
"You know you can be excited about my return right?" I told him with a chuckle and Nathan's cheeks seem to heat up while he looked down.
"Trust me I'm keeping calm because I can barely contain how badly I want to freak out. I don't want to wake up my neighbors with my screams" He explained and I chuckled. I forgot that it's later in New York. His neighbors are for sure asleep. I wouldn't want to get Nathan in trouble with them.
"I forgot about the time difference. It's already eleven for you. Should I let you get to sleep?" I asked him. Nathan and I have a one-hour time difference. I was thankful that it wasn't a big one but when I call him at ten in the evening, it is already eleven in New York. He must be tired. He has work in the morning.
"We just started talking. I don't want you to go" He whined and I smiled. I didn't want to leave either but he needs his sleep. I stared at the handsome man on the other side of the screen and Nathan smiled at me when he noticed my eyes watching him.
"How about you stay on this call while I change into my night clothes?" He asked me with a very suggestive look and my eyes widened. I was completely into this idea. Nathan chuckled at my eagerness before standing off his computer desk. This was going to be an interesting night.
Hello and Welcome to 'Our Wedding' The sequel and finale of 'My sister's wedding'. The original story ended with Nathan and Owen declaring their love for each other and that was it. I did not give you guys a conclusion to their love. I then wrote about Eli's wedding in the Christmas stories and I gave you all a little piece of Nathan and Owen's engagement. In this story, we start with Owen in Texas, where he went right after the last book and it will lead up to their love confession and the engagement before finally ending their story. I hope you all enjoy this adventure and the new connections I added. Speaking of connections, Travis is Owen's cousin, the same Travis who are friends with Austin and Peyton from 'In love with my best friend'.
