I awoke to the sun that shined through the apartment bedroom window and quickly adjusted my eyes to the bright light. I rubbed my sleep-filled eyes before stretching the sore muscles from the sleep. I stretched my free arm the best I could before it landed back on the sleeping man next to me. I smiled when I felt him grab my hand and intertwine our fingers together. Sharing the bed with Nathan has been my new favorite thing. It was something that I did not realize I would need desperately in my life. Waking up next to him every morning was the best feeling. I did not know how I manage to sleep before I met Nathan. I don't know how I managed to wake up for the last five months without him. I just knew that I want to wake up next to him for the rest of my life. I've been having that thought a lot recently. Nathan and I have yet to utter those words of love to each other but I know I'm for sure there. I love Nathan. I am in love with him. I have only ever been in love one other time in my life. It was back in middle school. He was my first crush. I confessed my feelings to him right before he moved at the end of seventh grade. Let's just say he did not feel the same way. This time around I decided to wait. I may be able to admit these feelings to myself but I want to be sure that Nathan shares my feelings before I go confess something this important. I stared at the adorable man sleeping next to me. I really hope he feels the same way. I don't think I would be able to survive if Nathan ever left me. If he didn't feel the same way then I don't even want to think about it. I don't think I would be able to move on. I shook the thoughts in my head before I noticed that the cute boy in my arms was moving around. Nathan was waking up. Nathan rolled over and a big smile graced his lips when our eyes locked.

"Good morning sleepy head" I greeted him with my own smile and Nathan yawned before rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. He was beautiful in the morning. His hair was a mess from how much he liked to roll over at night, his eyes held the sleep that he has just awoken from and his expression was so soft. I had never seen anything more beautiful in my entire life. Nathan seemed to notice my eyes on him because he stopped all movement and looked at me.

"Why are you staring at me like that Owen?" He asked me and I smiled.

"You look so cute when you just woke up. I had to stare" I told him and he rolled his eyes before his cheeks tinted red. I smiled at him before Nathan pushed me off of him and got out of bed.

"Don't you have a restaurant to get ready for the grand opening or something?" He asked while wrapping the sheet around him and making his way to the bathroom. I smirked when I noticed the sheet wasn't covering everything. Nathan really does have a nice ass. I decided to stand up and actually get ready. I do have plans for the day.

"I am not heading to the restaurant today," I told him and Nathan peaked his head out from the bathroom and raised an eyebrow at me. I swear my heart did a flip. Nathan is just so cute.

"You always head to the restaurant. That way I always know where you are. Where are you going?" He asked me while brushing his fluffy mess of hair. I think one of his best features is his hair. He has the best hair and the fluffiest ones at that. I walked over to my boyfriend in the bathroom before reaching for my towel. I did not have time to shower last night after coming back from the restaurant. I am definitely in need of one after last night's activities.

"I am going to see Elijah," I told him simply while turning on the hot water for my upcoming shower. Nathan turned my way while wearing this surprised look.

"Did he finally agree to meet you?" He asked and I shook my head. He had not. I've been trying to get my cousin to meet me so I can make things right with him but he has refused all my calls and messages. He doesn't want to see me. I was determined to change that today. I would be spending the day at his office and I will wait. I will wait hours if that's what it takes.

"He hasn't agreed but I will stay in that office until he does" I stated with a determined look and Nathan chuckled before patting my shoulder.

"Hopefully it goes the way you want it to. We're still meeting up for lunch right?" He asked me with this cute expression and I nodded before giving him a peck on the lips. Nathan's eyes lit up once I pulled away and again my heart felt like it was skipping along some kind of fluttery path. The things Nathan makes me feel sometimes concern me. I have actually called my doctor about it and he told me that it was normal. It surely doesn't feel normal. I watched as Nathan finished brushing his hair before leaving the bathroom and I was left with only one option. It was time to shower.

I was now at the tall office building that was known as the New York branch of my father's business. His pride and joy. The thing he loves more than his own kids. I cringed at the fact. Who could love this ugly building more than their own children? I never understood my father's dedication to this business. I understood putting your soul into something and wanting to see it leads to success. I understood that since I feel that way with every new restaurant. What I do not understand is the attachment he has. I have opened eleven different restaurants and I am about to open my twelfth I have never felt the attachment my father feels with his business. I would never put my restaurants before my friends, my family, and especially not before Nathan. I don't think I would ever understand my father. I stared at the tall building in front of me before deciding to enter it. I had told myself that I would never enter one of my father's buildings. I made that promise when my father chose to open a new spot in the company over coming to my uncle's funeral. Now that I know that they were friends growing up, I made that promise even stronger, and yet here I was. I was breaking the promise I had made because my relationship with my cousin means more to me than a promise I made when I was eleven. I was going against everything I had lived by to fix things with Eli. I walked into the lobby of the building before asking the front worker where Eli's office would be. The receptionist asked for my identification before noticing my last name and quickly leading me to the floor. I do feel bad for this employee. He reacted like I would have fired him on the spot if I had waited a minute longer. I wonder if this is how my father treats all his employees. The scared receptionist told me that Eli worked on the highest floor so I quickly made my way to the elevator and started my ascent. I will admit this building is very beautiful from the inside. The elevator was entirely made out of glass and you could see what was happening on every floor while you passed it. It was a nice ride. I waited patiently until the elevator finally arrived on the twenty-fifth floor and I could exit the glass box. I quickly went in search of Eli's office before smiling when I was met with his receptionist. The woman at the desk smiled at me while I approached her.

"Good morning, how may I help you sir?" She asked politely while finishing up what she was typing on the computer next to her. I smiled while relaxing all the tense energy I was holding. This woman seemed to have helped me melt all the energy away. I hadn't realized how tense I really was until this moment.

"Morning, I am here to see Elijah Cook," I told her and she smiled before typing it up on the computer.

"Do you have a meeting scheduled with Mr. Cook?" She asked and I shook my head. The woman frowned before turning her chair back to look at me.

"Without a meeting, I can not let you in" She explained and I smiled.

"I had called him many times for a meeting but he had yet to get back to me. I do not mind waiting. Just tell him it's Owen waiting for him" I explained to the kind woman before going over to the sofa area and sitting down. I had planned to be here all day in the first place. I knew I would not be invited in but I hope he will see me eventually. He will need me to leave at one point. I decided to wait it out. I smiled at the confused woman who quickly grabbed her phone and called her boss. Now I just need to sit here and wait. I will be seeing my cousin today.

Chapter Four is here for you lovelies. This chapter takes place a few weeks after Owen's return and he has decided to fix things between him and Eli. Hopefully that all goes well. I really hope they can fix things because it is not their fault that their relationship is estranged. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
