"Do you have any appointments this weekend?" I asked my adorable boyfriend while I was washing the dishes we had used for dinner. Nathan walked over to me with the rest of the dirty plates and silverware with a curious look on his face."Why? You got some special plans?" He asked while leaning on the counter on the tip of his toes. I chuckled at his expression before drying the now-cleaned dishes.
"Maybe I do, maybe I don't just answer me," I told him and he smiled.
"No appointments. I finished all my work this week like the good worker I am" He said while soluting and I chuckled. I whipped my hands with the towel before smirking and walking over to the table by the front door and bringing back the paper that I was searching for. I handed the paper to Nathan and he raised an eyebrow.
"What's this?" He asked before looking down at the page before his eyes widened. I smiled at his reaction.
"Did you...? Did you buy a cabin in the woods?" He asked me with wide eyes and I nodded. I did indeed buy him a cabin in the woods. I remembered what he told me all those months ago at Michael's wedding. He told me that he prefers a vacation in the mountains. I bought him a cabin.
"I bought us a cabin in the woods and if you're free this weekend, I would like to take you there," I told him simply and his eyes continued to stay wide with the addition of a wide smile.
"You bought me a cabin in the woods? Like actually bought instead of renting? Are you crazy?" He asked with astonishment and I chuckled. Perhaps I was a little crazy. I did buy an entire cabin for a guy I am simply dating but Nathan is the love of my life. I am simply planning for the future, our future.
"Would you like to go there this weekend?" I decided to ask him once again since he did not actually answer the first time. Nathan stared at me while I made my way to the couch before he rushed over to me.
"Are you kidding me? Of course! I wish we could go right now" He exclaimed while relaxing in my arms and I chuckled. Tomorrow we will spend the weekend at the cabin. I'm excited.

We were now at the cabin that I had bought on the outskirts of the city but it wasn't the romantic getaway I was envisioning. It wasn't bad but it wasn't what I had planned. I had planned this entire weekend with my boyfriend alone. We would have done romantic things and some not-so-child-friendly things and I was going to confess my love for him. I decided it was time. Things were going great with Nathan and I knew that I wouldn't have scared him away. I knew this was the right choice. My plans were canceled when the married couple showed up on our doorstep completely unannounced. I didn't mind seeing my best friend and I don't think Nathan minded seeing his sister but we were both disappointed. We planned a nice weekend away and now it was more of a couples weekend away. It was still going to be good. We could still do some romantic things. The entire weekend was not ruined. I now realize I had spoken too soon. Eli decided to join us this weekend. It was now a friend retreat.
We arrived at the cabin after our little twenty-minute drive where Eli decided it was best to scream every time he saw a blue car. There were a lot of blue cars. I was glad to be closer to my cousin these days but I certainly did not miss how weird he truly was. Eli had always been a weird kid. He was the type to eat the sand out of the sandbox. I always found it endearing because he was never afraid to be himself. Most found it weird and this car-screaming thing was weird. We arrived at the cabin where everyone was glad we got some peace from the screams and Nathan and I went to our room. The master sweet was beautiful. It was a simple room, nicely decorated with one queen size bed and a bathroom attached. The best part was the windows. The view of the lake and the trees was breathtaking. Nathan's expression was completely worth the money spent on this place. Seeing that smile light up his eyes was worth every last penny.
"This room is beautiful" He stated while looking around before collapsing on the bed. It was a nice bed. The comforter and pillows were fluffy and comfortable. I could tell from the expression on his face that it was comfortable. I was excited to sleep there tonight. I smiled at my adorable boyfriend before walking over to the closet and unpacking our suitcases. I decided we should get comfortable while we are here. We do own the place after all.
"Owen~ can't you unpack later? I want cuddles" He whined while looking at me with soft eyes and I chuckled before leaning down at him and moving near his face. Nathan looked at me before wrapping his arms around my neck. I smiled at him before he pulled me down and my lips crashed on his. I fell on the bed and Nathan lay in my arms. We were down for the count.
"How do you always get your way?" I asked him while kissing his cheek and Nathan smiled. He kept his arms around my neck and pulled me closer.
"I don't know, I think you are just a simp" He stated and I playfully glared at him before flipping our position. I smirked at him when he gasped and pinned him to the bed. Nathan stared up at me with challenging eyes and I decided to take him up on this challenge. I would not be defeated this easily.
"You want to challenge me, Nathan, because I don't think you will win," I told him while smirking and Nathan simply brought my face closer to his before pulling into a much more steamy kiss. We continued like this for a few minutes before the door suddenly opened and Nathan pulled away from me. I groaned before looking toward the door and seeing Nathan's sister standing there.
"I'm bored" Everly whined before falling on our bed dramatically. Nathan rolled his eyes at his annoying sister while I chuckled lightly. I found it annoying that she just barged into our room and interrupted the moment we were having but I did find her amusing. I don't understand how she can be bored in this beautiful cabin but I guess Everly is used to being entertained.
"How about we go down to the lake and spend time altogether?" I suggested it as an idea and Everly ran with it. She jumped out of our bed with an excited look. I guess we will be spending our day by the lake. We better bring some jackets and blankets since it is cold out. It is fall after all.
"Oh my god! Yes! Anything is better than staying cooped up in this place" She cheered before rushing out of our room. I looked down at my adorable boyfriend before seeing his distaste for this turn in the day. I was not too keen on this either. I wanted to spend the day with Nathan, not spend the day with the entire group but I'm always open to modification.
"Angry or annoyed?" I asked my boyfriend and he smiled before sitting up. I knew he would appreciate the way I decided to ask the question. It was the same way I had gotten to know him all those months prior. It had become our thing.
"Both. I wanted us to be alone all weekend but instead, now my sister and her husband are here which I guess was okay but did Eli really need to join us" He pouted and I smiled while caressing his cheek.
"It's going to be okay baby. We can have plenty of alone time after we entertain the guest" I told him before kissing him softly. I lead my kisses from his lips to his cheek and then finally they landed on the blade of his shoulder. I don't think I'm quite over the sexual tension that was rising in the room before his sister walked in. I really wanted to continue our previous actions but I decided I should be patient. Nathan smiled and chuckled when my lips hit that ticklish spot that he has.
"Fine but we better have some alone time tonight" He grumbled before winking at me and I could feel the intent behind his words all the way down my body. Nathan stood up out of bed and I groaned before following him out of the door. This is going to be a long night.
Chapter Six is probably one of my favorite POV changes. I originally wrote this chapter in the first book, it is of course the ending of 'My sister's wedding' but this time this chapter is in Owen's POV. I think Owen's pov on things will always be my favorite. The man is a simp and I love me a good simp. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
