"Are you ready for this? Are you finally ready to get married?" I asked my cousin while helping him fix his suit and tie. I wasn't asking him in case he was nervous, I knew Eli was never nervous, especially not at his wedding. I was mostly asking to make sure that this was happening today. So far there had been no issues. No unexpected secrets coming to the surface, no unexpected guests. Everything was perfect. Eli had decided that inviting my parents to this redo wedding would be a terrible idea. He knew his mother wasn't the happiest about that decision since the man was her brother but she understood. The entire family understood. My cousin looked at me through the mirror and rolled his eyes.

"Nothing will ruin this wedding today. This was supposed to happen a year ago and I am not letting anyone in this ruin it, even you" He said fiercely and my eyes widened. What did I do? I'm the one that was forced to learn all the secrets in my family just to save his job that he ended up leaving anyways.

"What did I do?" I asked him while brushing his shoulders to make sure the suit is straight.

"Nothing so far but do you need to propose to Nathan today of all days?" He asked me and I rolled my eyes. The answer to that question is yes, it needs to be today. I had waited longer than he had for this wedding. I let his fiance propose to him when I was supposed to. I learned the darkest parts of my family for him. Eli owes me bigger than he can actually pay up. The least he could do is let me finally be engaged to the love of my life.

"We've been over this and Beau is fine with it. Nobody will even know. I'll do it quietly between just Nathan and I. Don't worry nobody will overshadow your wedding" I explained to him and he sighed before nodding. It didn't matter if he had permitted me or not, I was doing this today. I had gotten myself a new ring about a year ago and everything had been in the works for a long time. This was happening even if there were an attack at this wedding. I don't care if the sky starts falling, this is happening no matter what. Eli and I continued to get ready until it was his cue to get down the aisle. It was time for the wedding.

"Do you Elijah James Cook take Beau Jacob Curran to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The minister asked my cousin and everyone smiled when he agreed. I couldn't help but stare at my adorable boyfriend sitting down next to his sister. Nathan was watching me. I could tell what he was thinking, he was wishing this was us up here. I was wishing the same thing and it would come. The wedding continued on like this until eventually, the couple kissed. It was a beautiful wedding. The couple walked back down the aisle together and I made my way to my boyfriend. He smiled at me while I took his hand and we followed the rest of the guests out of the wedding hall. I decided to start building up the suspense with my favorite little game.

"Remember when we played that game back at Michael and Everly's wedding?" I asked him while we were walking together to the reception room. Nathan looked at me with interest in his eyes and nodded.

"Yes. What about that game?" He asked and my expression lit up. This was starting off exactly the way I had planned. I had planned this moment a bunch of different times. There was the original one where I had simply gotten Nathan a nice ring and I was going to do it over dessert. There were the times at the other restaurants when I had decided the same but we kept getting interrupted. There was the time I had planned a few weeks before the original wedding but decided to cancel it and there was the time I had planned an entire year ago. Each version was different and after failing so many times, I had decided on this. This would be perfect.

"Big wedding or a small one?" I asked and Nathan raised an eyebrow before smiling. Now he was intrigued.

"A big wedding of course. We need to satisfy my mother and all her friends and perhaps your family" He answered honestly and I grinned at the answer. I was not exactly sure about having my parents at our wedding. Obviously, Eli, Celia, Travis, Tate, and little Dixie will be invited but I'm not entirely sure about my parents. We weren't really talking with my parents.

"Of course, we need to make sure all our family gets to celebrate our special day," I told him with a chuckle and Nathan smiled. I do wish my parents could be there but as of right now, I am not sure.

"Traditional or fun?" I asked and Nathan continued to smile. I hope we can agree on this topic. We agree on so many but this one was important. I want a wedding like the one we are currently at but more of our style.

"I really love how this wedding looks but it needs more flare to it, don't you think?" He explained when we finally arrived at the reception hall and I nodded with the excitement I currently had. Nathan agreed with me! This was perfect.

"Spring or Fall?" I decided to change up the line of questions to be less wedding specific. I am trying to keep him on his toes after all. Nathan seemed pleased with this conversation. I bet he was wondering where this was going.

"Spring because of the flowers and the lovely rain and Fall for the nice weather" He explained and I shook my head with a smile. This was one of Nathan's famous, not answering the question correctly. This was like the purple or blue of last time. It was now time for my question. I got off the chair I had recently sat on and Nathan looked confused. Good.

"Nathan Hart. We met way over two years ago at a small airport bar on our way to another wedding. It has been the best years of my life. I knew the moment our eyes locked, that you were the one for me. I knew that I would never be able to get over you. I knew that you were destined to be mine. I love you so much and I know this might not be the best place to ask this but I could no longer wait. I have waited a really long time to ask you this. Will you make me an even happier man and finally become my husband? Will you marry me, Nathan?" I got on my knee and pulled out the sparkling engraved ring that I had picked out an entire year ago. Nathan gasped before grinning widely and nodding his head aggressively. I smiled widely. I knew he would agree. I knew he wanted this for a long time but it felt amazing to see him agree. We were getting married!

I have finally done it! This is not a false alarm, it is not like last time. They are now engaged!! I'm excited! Eli and Beau got married, finally and everything is going well for once. No more secrets, no more surprises. Just pure joy. Also, this engagement was better than what Owen planned the first time. The first time he got a nice, Eli's ring was nice but for this time around, Owen got the ring engraved to say something special between him and Nathan. It was also way more them than the restaurant one would have been. It was perfect. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
