The wedding was put on hold. The wedding was the least of everyone's problems. It was the last thing anyone was thinking about. My sister had left my father's company for good. My sister and I had conceived a plan. She left the company and the media went crazy. The sole heir to the Baker fortune had just left her legacy behind. We took advantage of the media. My sister spoke about the secret. She had exposed my father for who he truly was. The world now knew about the affair. The world knew about the child out of wedlock. The world knew exactly who Donald Baker was. My father was finished. His reputation was ruined. It had never been my intention to completely destroy my father. The thought had never crossed my mind. I simply wished for my sister to be better off. It was Celia's idea. She wanted our father to pay. She wanted her birth mother to pay. She wanted them to all feel the way she did. I did try to stop her but I had no control over her words. She left the company and things got complicated. Baker Incorporated shut down. Everyone was out of a job. Eli was out of a job but he was okay with it. I had told him everything that my father did and he left before the damage was done. He didn't want to work for that company anyway. He focused on rebooking his wedding. He still wished to get married. Beau still wished to get married and this was a nice distraction for Eli. It was a nice distraction for everyone. My sister got herself a new job. Well, a new job wouldn't be the way I would put it. My sister was now Baker's restaurant marketing manager. Her first job was changing the company name. We had both agreed that having the business named after the name associated with my father was not a good match. I was happy for my sister and I was happy for my company. She was an excellent fit.

Things were rocky with my parents. I had not spoken to them since everything went down. My mother had tried contacting me but I could not face them. I could not listen to her ask me to forgive my father. How could I forgive him right now? This was all fresh in our minds. He got what was coming to him. There was a lot of bad going on these days and when I got a call from my cousin, I had expected nothing less. Travis had called me a few weeks after the secret became public knowledge. We spent a while talking about the secret and how everything went down. He didn't exactly know how to process the news of us having a shared sister. He could not wrap his head around his father finding out and how his mother had lied to him his entire life. It was a hard conversation but a much-needed one. Travis had decided that he wanted Celia in his life. He wished to get to know our sister more than just his little cousin. I had learned that Travis was calling for another reason entirely when this topic of the conversation made itself present. He and Tate were having a baby! It was the most exciting news that had hit this family in the last month. We were all excited. I was glad that some good was finally coming to us. We had dealt with so much bad that this new little baby was a perfect turnaround. Travis asked Celia to be the baby's godmother. She agreed. Things were finally looking up.

It had been a year. A year since everything went down with my family. A year since my cousin was supposed to get married. It had been a crazy year. It was now December twenty-four once again. It was Christmas eve. Beau and Eli were getting married today! It was exciting. Today was also the day I was going to ask my amazing boyfriend to marry me. It was finally time. It had been more than two full years since I had met him at his sister's wedding and had completely fallen in love with him. It had been two years since I wanted to ask him to marry me and it was time. It was finally time and Eli owed me so when I asked him if I could ask Nathan at their wedding, he had no room to deny my request. I had learned dark secrets when I tried to save his job. I had let his boyfriend use my engagement the last time and I had waited two whole years before asking this amazing man to marry me. Eli owed me big. Today was the wedding and I was looking for my suit jacket. I was growing frustrated. I looked everywhere and I could not find it. Where was it?

"Nathan, have you seen my suit jacket?" I yelled out to my handsome boyfriend who was currently in the laundry room folding some laundry before we head out to the wedding. He walked into the room and quickly noticed the mess that I had made. I swear it wasn't this messy a few moments ago.

"Babe, it's right there behind your purple flannel and my brown coat," He told me before taking the suit jacket out of the closet and my eyes widened. It was right in front of me this entire time?! I took the jacket out of his hands before smiling and kissing him on the cheek. I put on the jacket with the memories of the last time I wore it.

"I swear I don't know how I used to keep track of things before you," I told him while chuckling and asking him to help me with the tie. I seriously don't want to imagine things before Nathan. I used to lose things all the time before I met him. I am so glad he knows where everything is.

"Hopefully you never need to be reminded," He said cheekily and I grinned before pecking him on the lips. Hopefully, I will never be reminded of that. I hope after today that will never even be a possibility.

"Can you believe Eli is finally getting married today? This was a long time coming. I'm just glad it's here" I told him suddenly and he looked up at me. I felt like this wedding was never going to happen. I think Eli gets the award for the longest engagement now.

"I really can't. Eli used to be the single one in the group. His relationship with Beau has been shorter than ours and he is having his wedding today. This was a long time coming for sure. Also, who gets married on Christmas eve anyways?" Nathan stated before walking away from me and going to get his suit. He was mad, I could tell. He wanted me to believe he was mad about going out on Christmas eve. He was mad that we weren't married. We had been dating longer than Beau and Eli and I had wanted to marry him a long time ago. I decided I would play dumb in front of my adorable boyfriend and wrapped his arms around his waist.

"I know what you are really mad about" I whispered in his ear while kissing his neck softly. Nathan looked at me over his shoulder and I knew I had his full attention. I decided to play with him a little. I didn't want to ruin the surprise.

"You wanted to stay home all day and cuddle but now we need to attend this wedding" I concluded while continuing to kiss his neck. I saw Nathan frown before he looked away from me and pulled away. I wanted to make him smile but I needed to be patient. Just a few more moments before I ask him to be my husband. I could be patient. Today he will become my fiance.

This chapter was basically Owen recapping us on everything that happened in the last year since the big secret was revealed. Baker Incorporated is now terminated, Donald's reputation went down the drain with it. Travis decided that having a little sister is a blessing, not an inconvenience and he and Tate are having a baby. This is the baby Tate and Travis have at the end of 'In love with my best friend' (Dixie). The end of this chapter is the same part from 'Christmas Wedding' when Owen is looking for his suit jacket and Nathan is mad that he is still not engaged. The next chapter is pretty much that same wedding scene but in Owen's POV obviously. I hope you all enjoyed this recap chapter and I will see you all when the boys finally get engaged.
