Chapter 20

Autumn's pov

This was so weird to me, all of these other kids I am absolutely terrified. What if they don't like me like my little brother? While I sat at my seat miss amani sat me at another girl my age sat beside me, smiling brightly at me.  I looked up at her for a moment before she held out her hand.

" Hello! My name is Avery! What's your name?"

I took her hand with a matching smile. " A.. autumn! My name is autumn!"

" It's nice to meet you! Are you new to our school?"

" Yes....I'm a little nervous" i explained while looking down at my hands, fiddling with them for a bit before Avery started talking to me again

" Are you nervous about making New friends?"

A nod was my reply back to her, she thought for a moment before she had called some other people over, two girls and a boy, one of the girl's names was Olivia, she had a short brown bob and glasses, a purple oversized hoodie pulled over some oversized jeans she had and some books that looked a little above her reading level sat in her arms. The other girl looked just as shy as I did, with the way she hid behind Avery, she had brown hair as well, but Her's was a lot longer and a lot curlier than Avery's blonde hair. She had a pink sweater with a very long skirt the flowed down all the way down to her ankles, her name was Kathy. The boy was named Charlie, he was actually the bear monster that I meet and played with at the doctor's office not too long ago! Except this time, he wasn't dressed in pajamas, he had on a grey and black stripped sweater, long pants and red shoes tied to his paws. We talked for a little bit before miss Amani got everyone's attention.

" Alright friends! We have a new student joining us today!" She motioned over to my table with a bright smile " class, this is autumn, this is her first time coming to a school like this so treat her fairly and nicely alright?"

" Yes miss amani!" The rest of the class replies before miss amani started the day off with counting out all the way to twenty, then she passed around a piece of paper that had all different spaces for us to fill in, from about ourselves to our favorite animals to favorite colors and foods. The last one is where we all had to draw our entire family. I smiled a bit while coloring in papa papyrus's red scarf, I'm guessing it caught Avery's attention a little bit cuz her eyes were laid on my paper for a bit, studying it before pointing at the picture.

" Where's your mommy?"

" Oh um...my human parents aren't around anymore...so my new family took me in and adopted me!"

Avery's face softened up a little bit as I explained what had happened so far, the doctor's appointment, the time when papa wine took me here to get me registered for school, my time with them at the mall and the park.

" Then while we were leaving another skeleton by the name of dust had caught our attention, they don't seem to like him very much but him and his ghost friend looked really nice!"

" Whoa! A ghost friend! That's sounds so cool! Why would they not like him?"

" I'm not sure, but he mentioned something about a machine...either way it was a weird encounter"

" Hmm, whoever he is he sounds really cool! Hopefully you might meet him properly"

" Have you asked your papa's about them?" Charlie chimes in after listening for a bit, reaching out for the green crayon Olivia handed over to him. " Mmm not really, they seemed stressed out about seeing him so I just left it alone for that time"

Charlie nods back at me before he went back to coloring in his family, it was really cool too! He had two mommies, and three older siblings, one of them actually goes here from what he explained when I asked him about it.

Olivia has two parents, a mama and a papa, her mom is human, brown hair like her own, she also wears glasses too, she also has siblings as well, two of them, a brother and sister one from her mother's side and the other from her dad, which he's a monster like mine and Charlie's family members, he was a wolf monster, he seemed sweet from what Olivia explained.

Avery and Kathy were actually siblings, in a reeeeeeeallly big family, kinda like mine but theirs seemed a lot bigger, they had a whole bunch of sibling, eight others I think, while a bunch of cousins too, but the ones that lived with her were, her mom, her dad, they had their oldest sister Katie, the second oldest molly, and one of the middle children his name was Tyler I believe? And then it's Avery and Kathy!

" Wow, must be pretty hectic in the morning huh?"  Autumn spoke after Avery and Kathy, who wasn't as shy as she was before nodded the head in unison.

" I...it is a little bit, but Katie manages to get us here on time."

" Yeah, this time though it looked like she was talking to someone before she left, he seemed pretty chill too, I think Katie likes him cuz her voice got all high pitched and weird, remember when she got like that when that favorite actor of hers gets on screen?"

" O...oh yeah, that was really weird, but it is Katie so it's normal-"

" Yeah, I guess so"

After a bit inside, our teacher miss amani lead us out back for recess, which was my most favorite part of the day, Olivia, Avery, Kathy, Charlie and I went straight for the swings, pushing each other back and forth for a bit before doing it to the other, after getting bored of swinging we went on to play a random game called stores.

It was all fun and games till a bunch of older kids came over and loomed over us.
