Chapter 19

Third pov

" AUTUMN DARLING ARE YOU SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING PACKED AND READY FOR TODAY?" Pumpkin's worried voice calls from the kitchen, making autumn, who was currently bouncing all over the place pause for a moment before looking through her pink back pack. She had her lunch box which was packed full courtesy of papyrus, blue and pumpkin, all of her folders and notebooks were in there. Yeah. She had everything she needed, her special outfit for today along side her giant hoodie to keep her warm for the day, ear muffs for her ears, and long fluffy scarf as well.

Sans, red and stretch didn't really think all of the warm stuff was necessary, but whatever makes their brothers happy they guess. Today was the first day of school for autumn, and she is extremely excited for said day she can't seem to keep herself still, which was quite amusing to the skeletons that were dropping her off today on their way to work.

Wine would have done so himself, but he unfortunately had to leave earlier for work that day, alongside his brother kofi as well. So red, stretch and sans were the ones to drop her off today, while tomorrow will be edge, papyrus and blue's day to drop her off. Pumpkin and skull from what she's learn so far, would have loved to try and drop her off, but they have a lot of stuff to get done during the week days, pumpkin immediately had to leave after he finished helping make autumn's lunch, he works at the bakery not far from their home, while skull on the other hand worked at a butcher shop that surprisingly is right next to the Bakery. Viper, cash, black and mutt all work together at a big office as security for different people. Mutt and cash didn't really like it as much but hey, it pays the bills.

After a minute or two of sans and red talking to each other a bit, all while autumn was ahead pulling on stretch's arm whining a bit.

" Uhhh! Come on you guys! I don't wanna be laaate!"

" Heh, relax kiddo we'll be fine, just gotta find my keeeeeys" stretch said slowly looking through his pockets making autumn whine more, flopping against his chest while stomping her feet a little bit.

" Uhh! Papa stretch come on please!"

" Heheh alright kiddo let's get going then, vanilla, red you guys ready? Kids getting a little antsy-"

" Yah yah carrot top we're ready" red spoke grabbing on to autumn's hand, who was again basically pulling them outside, all the way to the car. Sans gave a short chuckle while setting himself in the passenger seat, while stretch sat in the back, getting himself comfortable as red strapped autumn into her seat before getting in the driver's side, getting the lot of them on the road towards her first day of school.

Autumn couldn't keep herself still, kicking her legs back and forth with a happy giggle while she started out of the window, watching the world outside again.  She looked over at stretch with a bright smile pointing out the window at different stores before they had arrived at her school.
If she were to be honest, she was still a bit nervous to meet everyone, excited but still a wee bit nervous.

Sans was the one that walked her in while stretch and red waited in the car, autumn stayed hidden behind sans, gripping on to his arm a bit while poking her head out a bit to glance at all of the children that ran inside after saying goodbye to their parents.

" Papa sans..."

" yes kiddo?"

" ....I'm a little nervous..."

" it's alright kiddo, we all get nervous on our first day of school!"

The two of them walked inside, heading over to her classroom, when stopped just by the doorway, autumns teacher Miss Amani came up to them with a bright smile. " Good morning autumn! Are you excited for your first day today?"

A shy nod was her answer, making Miss Amani tilt her head a little bit.

" kiddos a little nervous"

" Ahh, well that's alright dear, we all get a little nervous sometimes!"

After a soft hug and quick goodbye, sans went on his way back to the car in a blink of an eye, lazily putting his seat belt back on. Red and stretch who were in the middle of a conversation at the time peered over at him for confirmation that autumn was alright.

" well? is she ok?"  Red asked placing his hands on the steering wheel, pulling the car out on to the road again, waiting for sans's answer.

" like all kids she was a little nervous, but after a bit she settled in nicely, looked like she made a few new friends too"

A sigh of relief escaped both red and stretch, it was nice to hear their little angel didn't cry on her first day. When red pulled out of the schools parking lot, heading back to the house. All During the drive sans was a little more chipper than he usually was which was a bit confusing to the two boys that sat near him. Red was the first one to point out his doppelganger's strange behavior. " alright you, spill it! Why are you so chipper?"

" hmm? Oh nothing right, just glad the kid didn't cry when we dropped her off" sans explained placing his hands in his pockets before he spoke back up again with a much happier tone.

" Plus, I met a girl in the process-"
