Chapter 26

Third pov

It started off as a normal day for dream at first, normal positivity, the blue skies, green grass and beautiful air! Everything was happy, positive, noooo trouble whatsoever. Not until blue popped in unexpectedly, it was a little surprise for dream. He hadn't seen blue in forever, but when seeing him it usually meant trouble was happening. 

" Blue? How are you doing? I haven't seen you in forever!"

Blue took a few deep breaths, looking around for anyone that might listen in before pushing his way inside, gripping on to dreams shoulders in a panic.

" DREAM! I NEED YOUR HELP! OUR DAUGHTER AUGUST HAS BEEN KIDNAP BY NIGHTMARE AND THE OTHERS, WE NEED YOUR HELP GETTING TO HER THROUGH YOUR-"

" Whoa whoa! Daughter?" Shit. Ink was here too? Said person was sat criss cross on the floor, peering up at the two of them with curiosity " You never told us you had a daughter, who's the lucky girl you had her with?"

A blue hue appears on blues face, of course Ink wouldn't take this seriously. Blue waved his hand to the side a bit with anger. " INK! MY DAUGHTER! AUTUMN! WHO MY FAMILY ADOPTED! HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED BY NIGHTMARE! YOU KNOW A REALLY BAD GUY THAT HATES HUMANS!"

" Oh." Ink stood up to his feet, smiling a little bit as he stretches out his back while he smiled at blue. " Let's go get her back then, shall we?" He looked over at dream with a bright, fake smile. " Dream?"

" R.. right." Ink closed his eyes to focus, looking around any negative place that had uneasy positive feeling in it, after a while he found a little cabin up on a hill not far from where they stood. Dream opened his eyes, determination written on his face while he grabbed on to blues shoulders tightly. " I found her!" He spoke before blipping him and blue inside of a dampish looking room, they looked around a little before spotting the child sitting on a bed, happily dangling her feet over the edge.

" Autumn!" Blue whisper shouted, rushing over to her as quickly and quietly as possible, wrapping her into a tight hug. Autumn was a little surprised by this, but none the less hugged her papa back, dream smiled at the scene in front of her but staying on alert just in case nightmare and the others get the realization dream and blue can pop in here now.

" Blue, we need to leave now." Dream spoke with urgency, placing a hand on blues shoulder while blue picked autumn up into his arms. The child tilts her head in confusion, looking between the two of them before shrugging off the sudden appearance by them. The last thing they remember was the rattling of the doors handle before they ended up in a different room with another person inside of it. He gave a bright smile at the two of them.

" You found her good, now. Blue you know what we-"

" LATER, I NEED TO GET HER BACK HOME, IF YOU WANNA COME WITH FINE, BUT SHE NEEDS TO GET HOME."  Blue explained holding a protective hug around his child, starting at ink with an unreadable expression, well autumn couldn't read it as much, but dream and ink knew exactly what the face he was making meant. He wasn't going to take no for an answer, even if dream told him it was for the best to let her stay here with dream so he could refill whatever positivity may have left her.

" Ok blue. We'll come with you instead, but I'd like to keep an eye on her if that's ok?"

" THAT'S FINE, BUT JUST BE WARNED HER PAPA'S ARE GOING TO BE VERY PROTECTIVE"

" That's understandable" ink said coming up beside the two of them, poking autumns cheek a little bit before smiling at her. " This is your daughter?"

" ADOPTED YES. IF YOU'LL EXCUSE ME" he gently placed autumn in to dreams arms, pulling out his phone to get sans on the phone " I HAVE TO LET SANS KNOW WE GOT HER HERE WITH US SAFE AND SOUND" with that he disappeared outside, leaving autumn to look between the two San's in front of her.

" Are you my papa's too?"

Dream chuckled a little bit at her question, rubbing her head a little before walking into the kitchen with her, opening up the fridge for her to peek inside. " Are you hungry little one?"

" A little bit, papa cross was bringing me a little snack before you guys picked me up."

" Papa cross?"

" Yeah! He's one of my papa's, isn't he? He looks like all of my other papas, so he's gotta be one of my papa's too!"

Dream smiled at the child's innocence, rummaging around the fridge a little before pulling out an apple for her to eat for now before they left for her home, he held her gently in his arms while she munches into it happily, waiting for blue to come back inside to head back over to his house. Ink came in shortly after dream had handed autumn her apple, leaning against the counter while looking the child up a down a bit.

" So, how long have you been with the lodge skeletons?"

Autumn tilts her head a little bit while she paused her chewing, after she finished the bite, she had taken she replied back in confusion. " What do you mean by lodge skeletons?"

" Ah I mean...your papa's?"

" Oh! I think at least a week maybe..."

" Where are your parents?"

" They....left..."

" Oh...I'm sorry for asking then."

Autumn smiled at him, shaking off the question for now before looking around dream's kitchen, this cabin has a lot more decorations to it, and the vibe around it felt positive. After a while blue came back inside, with sans following shortly behind him.

"Papa sans!"

A sigh of relief fell from his mouth before he quickly pulled autumn out of dreams arm, hugging her tightly before nodding over to dream in thanks.

" im glad you're alright...did they hurt you at all?"

A shake of her head was his answer, yet again sans let's out a sigh of relief, happy his little tuck wasn't hurt. He peered over at ink suspiciously before turning to head out the door.

" dream, if you need to stop by the house at any time to check up on her positivity, you can.....ink can't come with..."

" Awe why not vanilla? ~"

" you know why" sans barked back a bit, squeezing autumn a little bit in the process, autumn didn't really understand what was going on, but whatever happened between papa sans and papa ink are fighting about but whatever it is she's sure they can work it out. " Papa sans...are we going home?"

" yeah kiddo, let's go home..."
