Chapter 39

Third pov

" you think everything is goin alright?" cash asked kofi who was sat next to him, the two of them playing video games while they waited for the others return. The usually silent skeleton peered over at him, only to shrug his shoulders before focusing on the game again. not long after the front door burst open, an angry edge holding on to a sobbing autumn and Avery had marched through the door, along with their group of friends following in after. This sudden action freaked cash and Kofi out, while edge places the two sobbing girls on the couch, along with their candy bags. Edge stood up to his feet before marching back out of the living room outside, passing a panicked sans and red. Autumn held her arms out to sans, who gladly picked her up into his arms " Don't let miss Toriel take me!" The girl cries out, making sans pet the back of her head. " No one is taking you sweetie; you're staying right here.". It was Avery's turn to speak" but...but she said she was going to take autumn away, no matter what!". Red rolled his eyes to the side in anger, shoving his hands in to his pockets. " She always says stupid shit like that-"

" Swear..."

" .....it's best to ignore her, she's just trying to piss everyone off and ruin their night, she's done this type of stuff with frisks mother all the time."

After a minute or two, the small children finally calmed down, mutt who had walked in the middle of it all, had mentioned party games in the backyard, which switched the littles one's moods immediately, as they played Katie came stomping inside, along with her sister molly, unfortunately Tyler had to go home to pass out candy, and to look after their little brother Oliver. " K...Katie please calm down!"

" Calm down! I can't believe this at all! How can someone be so dam...dam!"

" Entitled?..." Molly finished making Katie nod with aggression " yes! So, dam entitled!" She spewed out stomping up to sans where she placed herself next to him, leaning her head on his shoulder as she sighed softly.

Sans couldn't help a little blush appearing on his cheeks, clearing his throat as he wrapped an arm around Katie's shoulders. " it's ok Katie..." He soothed while the lot of them watched the children run around and play. A while after they were all inside, along with Toriel and the others silently eating, it was a very awkward silence not before papyrus cleared his throat, smiling at autumn. " SO, UM....ABOUT TONIGHT?" Edge held up his hand before papyrus could continue, gripping tightly on his fork as he glared at Toriel. " There's Nothing To Be Said. Autumn Is Staying Here" Toriel slammed her fist against the table, making majority of the children jump a bit. " IT'S FINAL!" Edge snapped slamming his own hand against the table, tension built up between everyone, edge and Katie were both sending Toriel hateful looks, the queen happily sending them back. Autumn felt bad for frisk, if this is how Toriel treated them, they must be under a lot of stress...just like when she was with her family.

" Can we just stop fighting please..." The small child spoke softly, catching everyone's attention. " I'm not going anywhere with you...you can be mad about it all you want; I'm not changing my mind!" The child cried out, tears rushing down her cheeks, her friends began to chime in to, circling around autumn protectively.

" We won't let you take her away!" Charlie stomped his foot while he angrily starred at the queen, Olivia and Kathy hugged on to autumn close while Avery stood in front her her beside Charlie. The queen, who was angry enough, scoffed out before standing up from her seat abruptly, gathering her things. " Asgore, we're leaving" the king wasted no time getting ready to leave, he bowed and apologized to sans and his brothers as he and his wife left, Martha and frisk following behind quietly. During all of this undyne, alphys and mettaton were out and about gathering drinks for everyone, juice for the children and alcoholic beverages for the adults. It was a party after all! When undyne asked what had happened Autumn finally broke down into a tantrum. Sobbing and screaming as her friends hugged her tightly.

" Toriel ruined Halloween! She's so mean!" The child sobbed, throwing herself to the floor, her group of friends tumbling with her. Undyne was still confused, unable to figure out what happened with the child's answer, she peered over at sans for an explanation. " What happened?"

" ....well..."

" She was being a bitch! That's what happened, something happened long ago that wasn't the skeleton family's fault! And yet she blamed them!" Katie chimed in, stomping her own foot. Mettaton held a hand over his mouth while slowly pulling out a camera to record the entire thing.

" Whaddya mean punk? And watch your tongue that's the queen of monsters you're speaking about!"

" I don't care if she was the queen of the world! You don't just get to take someone's child when something out of their control!" Katie fired back, surprising the fish lady a bit, undyne rubbed the back of her neck, sighing a bit before she bowed her head. " I apologize, I didn't know she was trying to take frisk again-"

" No no, it wasn't frisk she was trying to take" Katie points at the still sobbing child " she was trying to take away autumn!"

" The pip squeaks? Why?!"

" Cross, killer and dust had kidnapped her from school, and instead of blaming the school's child neglect" cash began, completely irritated that Toriel ruined this night for everyone. " She blames us..."

" Jeez...I'm sorry you guys, if I would have known I wouldn't have snapped at you miss..."

" It's fine...let's just...um...well...let's just go finish eating before we all start this slumber party." Molly stepped in, holding on to Katie's shoulders, smiling sweetly, she looked at sans happily. " Thank you for having me over for dinner, I think it's about time I get home before it gets too late"

Stretch stepped in with, holding out his hand to the young woman. " I'll walk you home!" He almost stuttered over his words, the woman gripped on to his hand, smiling kindly before the two of them disappeared out the front door, leaving Katie and sans by themselves, Katie couldn't help but smirk over at sans. " I think he likes her~"
