I leave the room after cleaning up.

1. Turn up the heat; i re-stocked the fire

2. Clean their body to get rid of any DNA or fingerprints, especially under the finger nails

3. Then i dropped a couple matches on the couches and curtains

The room should be starting to be engulfed in the fire's unforgiving embrace right about now, not enough to create too much smoke, and the fire alarm wouldn't go off anyways, i'd sure, the last time this house had a safety check-up was years before Stoll took the house. However, i'd still better get out of here quick.

There was a convenient change of guard while i was busy conducting first-degree murder, just like i'd planned. There was a schedule of the change of guards when i hacked into the building's security system before i started the mission.

"Hello, Sir, ma'am" I say, nodding my head politely at the two of them.

"Miss," The woman smiles at me, but her partner just turns away and ignores me.

Before either of them could react, i have my dagger running across the female guard's throat from behind, cutting open her windpipe and letting her heart pump the blood out of her body.

The male guard pulls out his gun, and tries to shoot me, but a gun isn't much use in close-range combat, he only had time to make one misguided shot before i used the back of my arm to brush aside the hot metal, and pull his arms into a lock, then i change moves and trip him, letting his momentum and gravity guide my blade over his windpipe.

They both lie gasping for air that would never come, and quickly pass away.

Their deaths are unfortunate, and i do feel a slight twinge of disappointment, but of course, i can't have the guards becoming a witness of me being the last person to interact with Stoll, so, they must reach the same fate as him.

Shit

The gunshot, it probably rung out across the building, as noticeable as an elephant driving a car into a musical. Most people would hopefully dismiss it as construction, and quickly forget about it, but some might have recognized the sound.

I drop a few more matches, and the dagger used for the killings, and leave quickly.

I waltz out of the hallway and check my watch,

8:43pm, Artemis won't be coming yet.

Good.

I leave the hallway and mingle back into the throng of people in the ballroom.

Wait for someone to notice the fire, don't bring attention to yourself.

Sure enough, a few minutes later, a maid comes running, screaming hysterically as she goes.

"FIRE! FIRE! GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY FUCKING WAY! FIREEEEEEEE!!!!!!"

She causes the panic i was waiting for, and i take this as my ticket to run.

I pull off my heels so i can run properly, also, heels come in use with large crowds, i use them to stab people left and right, getting through the crowd quicker. I arrive at the doors which are now closed.

Two guards fumbled with the keys, a big ring of them, all identical-looking, trying to find the right one. People are yelling and throwing food at them to hurry up, like that's supposed to help.

I sigh and hurry up to the guards.

"Move" I say icily to one of them. Their bodies obey before their minds process the order.
