Chapter 25: Kiss

Artemis's POV

I feel her take a surprised inhale beneath me, trying to register what im doing. I'm suddenly aware of what i've done and am about to pull off her and apologize fiercely, but then she starts kissing me back.

Y/N's POV

He kisses me, and i inhale sharply in surprise, but hunger quickly replaces the shock, and i'm suddenly moving my lips against his.

I lean into him, and he places his hands on my waist, pulling me forward. I undo my seatbelt, and crawl onto him, saddling his lap.

He groans under me, the sound of it only makes me want him more, and i let my tongue slip into his mouth, he seems unsure of what to do at first, but - always the genius - he learns quickly.

I wrap one hand behind his neck, and the other cups his cheek. He runs one of his hands down my back, and caresses the bottom of my thigh, running along it slowly. He bites my bottom lip daringly, and i let out a heated whimper.

He starts to trail soft kisses along my jawline, a trail of sparks following them. The hand i put around his neck moves to the back of the seat his back is up against, supporting me. He gets to my neck, and i dip my head back so he has better access. His lips move higher and higher, until they meet my ear, he nips it between his teeth and gives it a little tug.

"Artemis" I groan. My blood thumps in through my veins and i know in that moment that I want more than this. I grind myself against his leg. He growls at my movement, and his hand slides to my ass, giving it a light squeeze.

My sharp inhale is cut short by his mouth claiming mine again, this time, his tongue is surer and more insistent, i respond quickly.

I can feel him hard against me now, and with it comes a feeling of triumph. I want to unzip his pants right here, right now.

I tug at his tie, and hold him in place while i pull back for a breath.

The car jerks suddenly on the bumpy road, and i almost fall off him. With the bump, comes my conscience, and it's screaming at me for doing what i just did.

I scramble quickly off of Artemis and bang on the window separating us from Butler, it slowly slides open comically.

"Stop right now"

Butler pulls to the roadside without question.

I open the door and scramble out quickly, only now do i notice the thundering rain that has picked up outside. The dark night proudly presents the moonlight to guide my escape.

"Morrigan!" I hear Artemis call from the car, but i ignore him and continue walking, unsure of where i'm headed, all i know is that i have to get away from him. My heart thuds in my chest as tears stream down my face.

"Morrigan! Wait!" The cry is almost completely drowned by the rain this time, so it's easier to pretend i never heard it.

I half-run, half-walk for what feels like hours with Artemis's yells echoing in the back of my head, and the kissing scene we shared replays over and over again. I barely register anything, even when the clerk at the motel i checked in asked me questions about my stay, i had to have her repeat them several times. The only thing i do know, is that the wetness between my legs, isn't from the rain, and the thumping of my heart, isn't in response to the coldness seeping through my clothes.

Artemis's POV

When she ignores me and runs into the rain, my heart aches in pain at the sight of her leaving. I call for her again and again, but she doesn't respond, and when i finally lose her to the night, i close the door and drop back into my seat, feeling a range of intense emotions.
