He leads me down a familiar ally.

It's perfect for an ambush.

It's narrow, this Just Butler guy's body is like, already three fourths of the ally's width.

There are no window ledges and the buildings are too tall to climb.

i'm the only one here.

He's literally leading me to the end of the ally, there's no where for me to go.

Fuuuuuuuuck.

My claustrophobia kicks in, but i press the fear, deep, deep into the bottle i use to store all my emotions.

I remain casual, can't let him be alerted to my ability to fight unless he absolutely needs to know.

"Mr. Just, this is probably an ally a murderer would go to to seek refuge, should we go someplace else?"

"No, this place is fine just as it is."

I get that feeling, the gut-wrenching instinct that something bad is about to happen.

I look around, i've already assessed the ally when i first saw it, but i'm checking it again out of habit.

Someone - Artemis Fowl - slinks around the corner at the mouth of the ally, i would recognize him anywhere. He struts toward me with his regal suit, looking every bit a hot businessman.

Whoa.

He arrived in front of me, his expression giving nothing away, mirroring mine.

He's so much taller than me. I have to look up into his beautiful blue eyes.

I stare at him. Waiting for him to speak.

"I apologize for the lousy meeting place, but i need to speak with you privately."

"About?"

"Your eyes. I apologize again, i know the situation is... not ideal, what with the burning building and all."

I ignore his apology, "Does this Butler man work for you?"

"Yes" They share a glance, "He has been loyal to me since i was born."

"Very touching, but why an ally?"

"Just in case you don't agree to come with me."

"Kidnapping."

"Yes" He looked ashamed. Poor boy.

"Well, what do you want to know about my eyes?"

"You might not have noticed, but one is blue and the other, red" He says sarcastically.

"Wow, i never knew. You're so insightful, what is it you want to know?"

"Are you a fairy?" His question is as direct as a well-shot arrow though it's prey, right to the point.

I throw my head back and let out a laugh, as if it's the craziest thing anyone has ever suggested. i file this information grimly to the back of my mind.

"No. A fairy? do i look like a fairy to you? Do i have wings? Or maybe you think that i'm using magic glitter to hide them"

"Yes a fairy, as absurd as it might sound, they do exist, and i plan of letting you meet a few. I can assure you, there won't be any magic glitter"

I slowly stop laughing, and stare at him, dead in the eyes,

He's serious.

Who is this man? If he finds out about us, we might all be wiped out permenately, humans can never leave anything well enough alone after all.
