Amelia's POV
"the word is now out that miss shepherd has a daughter" i heard a familiar voice and i knew exactly who it was. i turn and it's who exactly i thought it was Arizona. "yes" i said with a smile "i know i have seen her she's very pretty and sloan? it's like that's her soulmate" she told me which made me smile and it's true. either i wanna believe it or not riley has made a very big impact on our life's and especially sloans like she's smiles so much. like you can see her dimples again the ones i forgot she had.
speaking of them we see them walk up towards us. "where's chris?" i asked because this morning i wasn't with them when they did the whole daycare drop off thing i had surgery. "daycare?" sloan said kissing my cheek and she was also confused looking at Arizona. "well mama! i need something from you" riley said breaking the awkwardness "i need well please can you help me with a project" she asked smiling "yes i will help you" i said then it went silent again "robbins? this is riley and ry this is zona!" sloan said breaking the silence.
riley looked at me and back at sloan "is she your friend?" she asked "well i would person-'' arizona said but was interrupted by sloan "ah no don't! i already know what you're about to tell her and i don't need my kid thinking about that" sloan said "relax i wasn't going to say anything too bad" blondie said holding up her hands in defense "mmm you're arizona so you say anything" i said giving her a look. "well it's nice to meet you but can we go now" riley said looking up at Alondra waiting. "yes let's go um i will see you later babe later blondie" she said kissing my cheek and walking along with riley.
Alondra's POV
you know would it be weird to say that my kid is my best friend? actually no well some people might say yes and tell me to find and talk to people my own age but why would i do that when i have a 16 year old. "soo school? have you thought about it" i asked riley. lately me and Amelia have been trying to get a routine down with her and school and just balancing everything into our schedules.
but amelia thinks she should attend school because apparently we shouldn't let our kid be around doctors or basically in a hospital area all day is what i got from that conversation with her. but i think she should be homeschooled and work from home and where i can keep my eyes on her at all times also because i have grown an attachment with my daughter to the point where both of us can't either leave each other for a long period of time in the day. "do you think mama would be mad if i decided to be homeschooled?" she asked
"i think mama woul-'' i was interrupted by the door opening it was carina. i saw her run up towards riley "stealing my daughter" i said and she gave me a smile "i haven't seen her in forever" carina said basically squeezing the life out riley "ahh i missed you too ally" carina said "oh i feel so loved" i said sarcastic "mommy actually did miss you she was asking about you this morning" i heard my daughter not very successfully whispered to the Italian. "yea she loves me without telling me" carina said "i do not" i said trying to play it off cool.
"so how have you guys been" carina asked she was very happy and excited for some reason i mean it's carina she's always smiling. "good you should come over... oh! and ry you should meet maya" i said changing over the subject "oh yes! she has been wanting to meet you" carina said jumping with excitement but my daughter she was confused. "who is that?" she asked looking at me "her wife! she's a firefighter" i said she made an o shape with her mouth "well i will be on my way just dropping by to say hi to my favorites" carina said and with that she was out the door.
"she's happy today" riley said the minute she left "indeed she is" i said laughing "i can never understand that" she said "what?" i asked her "i guess people all so happy or atleast faking it" she said "i guess some people have to fake it" i said "but like i don't think a person can just genuinely wake up and be that happy" riley said "how come?" i asked her "because something is always happening in this shit world to the point where you can't be happy just nothing" she said "come here" i said gesturing my hands for her to come.
she stood in front of me but with her chin
down "look up at me please" i said and she was hesitant but she did i slowly placed my hands on each side of her face and carefully leaned her forehead against mine. "i believe everything happens for a reason. you find love. your person. your anything is for a reason." i said and within at the end she had smalls tears in her eyes. "like you?"
she said with her voice slightly breaking "me what?" i asked "you? i found you for some reason"
she explained "exactly my love something told me to open that door and i did and now i have you" i said
i just held her in my arms. i usually am not good with these kind of talks especially with teenagers but she's my kid and now i just feel like words kinda just flow out. but im also scared. terrified even. i have this very strange feeling that something horrible is about to happen and somehow im always correct.
