-chapter 16-

Y/n sat down next to Jake as the Na'vi people ate around each other in a group.

They were both handed plates of what looked like little white rocks, y/n didn't dare touch them while Jake felt like he would be disrespecting them if he didn't try.

So he took a bite before asking his guide who y/n found out was called Neytiri.

"These rock. What are they?"

"Teylu. You call them beetle larvae" she answered.

Jake immediately paled and y/ns lips twitched in amusement, seemed like not touching the food was the right choice.

Jake turned pale and y/n chuckled as Neytiri added some more onto his plate.

Y/n and Jake made eye contact as she dared him to eat the larvae and just as he was about to give in, he called out-

"WATCH OUT!"
Y/n ducked just in time to dodge a familiar purple fruit thrown by a familiar orangutang with too many arms.

Neytiri caught the fruit and looked from the animal that threw it and to the annoyed y/n.

It was suddenly more clear on what was happening.

She pulled y/n's hands towards her and y/n made sure her fingers were not touching the female.

"What-

"Peace. Eywa wants peace with you. Eat" Neytiri handed y/n the fruit and watched on as y/n contemplated her choices.

She finally took a small bite as the purple juices of the fruit dribbled down her chin.

Her eyes widened ever so slightly.

"Good?" Neytiri watched her like a child showing their mother a drawing.

Y/n huffed and turned her head but even Jake saw the small smile on her face and the calmness that started to radiate off of her.

A pair of footsteps crunched behind the trio and Tsu'tey appeared a moment later.

"We're going now." He gripped y/n's arm and pulled her up, yet she only gave him a glare and didn't bother to do anything else.

It almost seemed like she was in a trance of sort, she wasn't nearly as aggressive as she usually was.

Tsu'tey watched the female closely and examined her foreign sky person features as he lead her to the tree they slept on.

Hundreds of hammocks hung down and families rested in their cocoon like comfort.

"This is where sleep" he spoke up, helping her climb the last bit of the tree and to their hammocks.

Y/n nodded and all but collapsed into her cocoon as soon as she could.

Tsu'tey smirked.
Now she was acting like the sweet girl he had seen before.

'How bipolar' he thought as he layed down across from her in his own hammock and closed his eyes, the last image being of her.

Y/n opened her eyes a few hours later, the jellyfish like spirits had started landing on her again.

She allowed them to touch her skin, even petting some of them.

"Gh" Tsu'tey turned in his sleep and y/n froze while the woodspirits scattered, leaving a (f/c) mark on the palm of her hand.

She winced at the burn and her eyes widened when little pink strings started to extend out of the mark.

"What is that?" She questioned but ultimately fell asleep after poking at it for a while.
