"Hey watch it!" He had spat out as a small kid ran into him.
"Sorry!" The kid stumbled out running to another kid, who looked about the same age as them, before they both ran off.
"Toby." Ranboo said disappointedly. "You need to be nicer to the other kids."
"Yeah, yeah alright."
"I'm being serious bee, their just like us, trying to get by."
"Maybe you're right boo, but we can't afford friends."
"It would be nice." The older mumbled.
"Hey." He put his hand on the elder's shoulder. "We've got each other boo, we don't need anyone."
He was right thought it had been them two since they escaped the orphanage a couple months ago and that was all they knew. Toby hadn't thought they needed anyone else, he was content with just them two against the world.
Toby reached into his pocket to reveal a bread roll he had stole for his friend but as he slid his hand inside he was met with only bread crumbs and no roll to be found.
"Ranboo! That kid stole from me!"
The boy's eyes widened as they both broke off in a sprint in the direction they had seen the boys run in.
"They went this way!" He yelled dragging Ranboo into an alleyway.
They saw a cardboard box with only one of the two inside, that one being the  younger. He held half of the bread roll in his hands and was stuffing it down before his eyes landed on the duo.
Toby now got a good look at the boy, he looked around eight with golden blonde hair and a skinny body that was shorter than both him and Ranboo. He looked panicked at the sight of them and quickly ran backwards, holding the bread as if it were a weapon.
"S-stay back! My brothers coming back soon!" He stumbled the fear evident in his voice.
"Now listen here kid," He growled. "I don't know who you think you are but no one steals from m-"
"Get away from him." A low voice said from the entrance of the alley.
His breath stuttered as he saw the older of the thieves with a dangerously look in his eyes, his hand holding a small knife.
"Now guys." Ranboo stepped forward his hands raised. "We just wanted the food back, I think we can all understand that."
"I said get away from him." The older just threateningly.
Toby stared back at Ranboo, terror in his eyes and the taller just nodded silently at the boy, grabbing Toby and slowly walking out of the alley.
The younger ran towards the boy holding the knife, allowing the older  just wrapping an arm around him never looking away from the others and never lowering his weapon.
"Hey wait!" A small voice yelled.
The golden haired boy ran towards them suddenly causing everyone inn that alley to panic.
"TOMMY!" The dirtier blonde haired boy practically screamed.
"Here!" The younger said holding out his half of the roll and ignoring the other. "I know what it's like to be hungry."
Toby glanced at the older kid holding a weapon and the younger offering him the food and hesitantly grabbed it. The younger beamed at him before quickly running back to his brother.
