It had been a week since Purpled died.
He hadn't talked to Ranboo or Tubbo in a week.
He hadn't patrolled in a week.
He hasn't smiled in a week.
He hasn't laughed.
He hasn't cried.
He didn't deserve too. It was all his fault. He drove Purpled to become a vigilante.
He might as well have shot that arrow himself.
Its his fucking fault.
His phone rang, he blindly reached for it dragging it to his ear.
"Hey Toms." The voice sounded remorseful.
Wilbur.
Wilbur had called and texted him every day.
Wilbur made sure he was eating, drinking. He checked on Tommy's mental health. Insisted they go out together.
"Wilbur I don't think I can call today,"
"Come on Tommy please just talk to me,"
"I'm just tired Wil,"
"I know sunshine, I know,"
His friend spoke as if every word that came out of Tommy's mouth physically pained him.
It reminds Tommy of the funeral. Wilbur hadn't known Purpled, they had never met and yet all it took was Tommy asking him to be there for him and Wilbur showed up no questions asked. Wil had held him as he stared numbly at his brothers grave.
Tubbo and Ranboo hadn't done that.
They won't speak to him.
I wonder why he thought but he knew.
They needed to blame someone.
"Tommy," Wilbur sighed "Do you want to visit Niki with me today?"
The request caught him off guard. He was doing this for Niki originally but now his mind was plagued with thoughts of his dead loved one. He hadn't spared her a thought and yet he was filled with guilt at the question. He hadn't thought of Niki. What about how the woman would feel if she woke up and Purpled was dead. He decided what to do then and there.
"Uh Yeah actually I want to visit Niki."
And on the other side of the phone Wilbur beamed, not that he would know.

Tommy stared at Niki's face. She looked peaceful.
Her hair had faded completely to a pale blonde. Her face was gaunt but her eyes were delicately closed shut and she breathed as if she was calm with her condition.
She looked so peaceful.
It scared Tommy.
She had been in this hospital for months now not showing any signs of waking up. The doctors said she was lucky to have stayed alive this long. They said it in a comforting way to Tommy and Wilbur.
It had not comforted them at all.
He felt a warm hand wrap  around his and he let himself be pulled into a side hug from Wilbur.
