Ever since her sister married Jason Bates, a notorious mafia leader from New York, Leila's been having nightmares about her own wedding day.
Her father was John Reins, leader of the biggest criminal organization in LA. She was raised to be the obedient daughter, but somehow, her sister Angie was better in that role. Leila was always a little daredevil. Maybe it was because she was younger and was always protected by Angie, or maybe it was just her nature. Either way, she knew, when that day comes she'll run as fast as she can, but she also knew she'll not get far.
She managed to buy herself some time and even enroll in college at NYU. Her father allowed her that because his son in law guaranteed that he'll take care of her. So thanks to Jason, she was now living as free as she ever did.
She loved New York and loved to be around her sister and nephew who she adored. She loved her friends at the university and she truly lived like every day could be her last. She wasn't far from the truth. Who knows when her father will decide that it's time for her to get married?
Her mother died when she was only a child, but she could still remember her scent and her warm embrace where she'd always found comfort in. She'd often wonder if her life would be this way if her mother was still alive? She'd never allow her father to arrange marriages for either of their daughters. Angie somehow found peace in hers and even love. Leila knew that she could never.
Was she ever in love? She was now 19. Yes she had flings now and then, mostly with her father's young employees since she was always surrounded by them, but was she truly in love?
