A man dressed in all black, even his face was thoroughly covered lowered his head in a respectful manner as he spoke.

'I didn't expect your highness crown prince to arrive so soon.'

The crown prince who stood at the window sill did not move even a slight bit. It was as if he had not heard what his attendant had said.

The man who was dressed in black, having worked under the prince as his shadow guard for years, seemed to have caught on that his master doesn't wanna speak at the moment so he cleverly shut his mouth, not wanting to anger the breathing devil.

The elderly eunuch on the side stood as still as a statue despite his crooked back.

Although the atmosphere was peacefully quiet, anyone who works under the crown prince would feel sweat pouring down their backs.

Silence is never a good thing.

However, the only subject who would not fear the crown prince is probably this weak old eunuch who had served the prince ever since he was a child and could understand this person's mind through and through.

After what felt like hours for the pitiful shadow guard, the silence was finally broken.

'Your highness! Welcome back!'

The doors to the chamber bursted open and a tall cheerful man walked in.

His right hand is flapping a fan profusely, trying to ease his exhaustion after walking for so long in this vast imperial palace.

Nevertheless, his handsome face still beamed with excitement as he saw the familiar silhouette of the man that everyone fear so much.

He shut his fan and threw it towards his servant who was standing behind him before running towards the crown prince.

Flapping his arm over the prince's shoulders without an ounce of fear, he laughed.

'A'Jun, how come you didn't tell me when you're going to come back? I missed you so much!'

The crown prince leisurely pushed the annoying arm off his shoulder and walked away.

He flipped his wrist and the shadow guard who was stiffly standing for a while finally heave a quiet sigh of relief as he respectfully retreated.

Graceful but oozing with dominance, the prince made his way towards his work table and sat down.

His face finally showing in the dimly lit light.

He has a beautifully tall nose with thin lips. His eyes are as sharp as arrows and the dark orbs within are deeper than the pacific ocean.

The chiseled jawlines are protruding so obviously even when he is relaxing his face. His expressions solemn and unperturbed.

Truly the man of every girl's dreams.

He moved his fingers and a palace maid walked in carrying a luxurious teapot made out of porcelain.

She gracefully poured the fragrant tea in two teacups and then retreated with her head lowered.

Young master Tang walked towards his best friend and took one of the cups before sipping a little, savoring the bittersweet taste.

'Still not saying anything after returning with no plans so abruptly?' Asked young master Tang.

Those sharp eyes flickered a little.

After sipping a little of the tea, the prince pulled out a small bundle wrapped in a cotton cloth and threw it onto the table.

Young master Tang glanced at the cloth bundle with a questioning gaze.

Seeing that the prince will not be bothered to explain, the young master put his cup down and grabbed the cloth bundle.

Slowly unraveling it, a shimmering handle came into view.

The beautiful blade inside the cloth shows its exquisiteness and intricate designs to the young master, flaunting its beauty.

Although beautiful, the blade seems exceedingly dangerous.

'Kun Lun dagger.' Muttered the young master.

The prince grunted in agreement.

'Why are you giving me this?' Asked the young master with one of his eyebrows lifted.

'Just wanted to see if you can spot something unusual.' Said the prince.

'Unusual? What's unusual?' Asked young master Tang.

'It's fake.' Said the crown prince.

'This is a replica of the real dagger, the blade is not made of poisonous black jade but simply coated with a layer of long lasting black powder poison.'

The crown prince stood up and walked around with his hands behind his back.

'And I've been fooled for a decade!' Bellowed the crown prince as he slapped the table.

The maids in the corner began to tremble.

Young Master Tang looked into the distance with narrowed eyes.

'I heard that a maid was killed in Chang'An just a few days ago. Don't know if it is true but there were rumors that the maid was stabbed by the Kun Lun blade.' Said young master Tang.

The crown prince turned around with confusion.

'Coincidentally, the princess of Chang'An will be marrying the third prince in just one month.' Young master Tang continued.

'One of our spies reported that the blade was kept by a lowly bodyguard who is currently protecting the second prince of Chang'An. It is not a secret that the prince is extremely foolish and immature.'

'Is that so?' Grumbled the crown prince.

The capital city of Da Dong is bustling and busy with pedestrians roaming around.

The lively city is showing the world the wealth of this big empire in China.

Xiang Ning, in a white cloak which perfectly covers his face, walked around the market with big confused eyes.

This big city is something that he had never experienced before. This is a new thing for him to be able to roam around so freely.

He Chang who is walking behind him did not pay any heed towards the little guy, instead, he just followed him with his mind all the way back at the palace being worried about the princess.

'Chang-ge! Look at that!'

The little prince's soft hand suddenly grasped onto He Chang's and his other hand pointed towards a big restaurant.

'Is your highness hungry?' Asked He Chang while pulling his arm away from the little prince's hold.

The cheerful eyes of Xiang Ning dropped a little as he felt his hand becoming empty when He Chang pulled away.

He nevertheless nodded obediently, indicating that he is indeed hungry.

He Chang nodded and led the prince towards the restaurant.
