Xiang Ning woke up the next day feeling energized. He'd never felt this energetic in so long.
He slowly sat up to see two maids preparing breakfast for him on the table in the middle of the room.
Seeing that the prince has woken up, one of the maids greeted him with a bright smile.
'Your highness, good morning. How are you feeling? This subject heard that you've fallen sick last night and could not attend the banquet. What a shame that you've missed out on the banquet.'
Xiang Ning lowered his eyes and smiled. Sure, he had missed the banquet of joy but he did something else which brought him more happiness than the banquet could.
Standing up, he slowly made his way towards the table and began eating the freshly cooked porridge. The taste was delicious, he couldn't get enough of it. Glancing outside the window, it is still dark and the streets are only filled with a few merchants who woke up early to bring out their goods to the market.
Xiang Ning quickly finished his breakfast and noticed that the maids are nowhere to be found. He felt a little adventurous so the prince creaked open the door of his room.
The hallway is empty, a few guards could be seen patrolling the area, but no one to notice much.
He walked on and on around the inn and finally reached the back garden of the place.
To his surprise, he saw a tall figure practicing sword in the middle of the snowy white garden.
Who is practicing so early in the morning when the sun hasn't even rose yet. Furthermore, it is extremely cold and the prince is topless.
He curiously continued to watch as that lean and muscular figure paused. Knowing that his presence has been caught, the little prince did not know what to do except standing still as the person turns around.
The crown prince!
Li Jun looked at the little prince with a small smile as he made his way towards him.
'Good morning, young highness. What are you doing here all alone?' He asked, placing his sword back into its sheath.
'Oh, I was just wandering aimlessly. Please pardon me if I'd interrupted your highness's training.' Muttered Xiang Ning, eyes avoiding the prince.
Li Jun smiled wider at the loveliness of the younger.
'Not to worry, dear highness. Do you want to practice with me?' Asked Li Jun.
Xiang Ning's eyes widened, he'd always wanted to practice sword but he never got the chance to because his father emperor loathed him and his elder sister is too overprotective.
However, before he agreed, he suddenly took a small step back.
'Ah! No, not to disturb your highness. I think I should go back in now.'
But before he could take a step out of the backyard, a hard palm grabbed his hand and stopped him from taking a step further.
'Your highness?' Xiang Ning muttered.
'It is not a hindrance at all. If your highness wants, I can teach you some self-defense moves in case assassins wreak havoc again on our way back.'
Convinced, Xiang Ning followed the crown prince towards the center of the courtyard.
Xiang Ning grabbed the hilt of the sword, this is the first time he'd ever held a sword before and it is way heavier than he thought.
'Be balanced, calm, but tough. Your grip on the sword must be strong and you have to move fast.' Instructed the crown prince while he guided the little prince from behind.
The low magnetic voice of the elder brushed his eardrums delicately. It tingled in the most pleasant way possible.
Xiang Ning focused on the lesson being taught to him. During the session, Li Jun slowly sent some of his qi energy into the younger's body.
To be honest, during the attack when they were traveling here, he was worried about Xiang Ning's safety greatly. Teaching him these moves won't do him any good as he won't pick up on the lessons so quick. The best way to ensure he'd be at least able to survive is transferring some of his martial arts qi to him and training his body with his martial technique a little to get the qi used to the new body shell.
This is like transferring martial knowledge to another person directly. However, because Xiang Ning has a weak body and he had never practiced martial arts before, an abruptly huge amount of qi will make his body explode. The most the crown prince can do is transfer just enough qi for him to be able to fight at an intermediate level.
Not strong. But enough to escape from most dangers on his own.
Xiang Ning, not knowing that there are qi transferring into him, felt extremely comfortable and energized from the qi.
He don't know what is going on but he knows that he is becoming stronger.
Li Jun, whose eyes has been gentle all this time while teaching the little beauty in his arms, suddenly grows cold on the face by a few degrees.
His pupils moved to the side, as if sensing a presence of someone nearby.
After confirming whose presence it is, his sexy lips quirked up into a smirk.
His other hand which has been idle all this time suddenly grabbed onto Xiang Ning's waist. Much to the little prince's oblivion, he tightened his hold, making the prince's body get closer to him.
Two guys, one is tall and masculine. He is shirtless, showing his glistening muscles and war scars all over his body. Extremely handsome with a dignified aura.
The other, although shorter but has exceeding beauty. His body appears to be soft and flowy like water.
They are currently being pressed together as the taller man teaches the shorter swordsmanship. They appear to be a perfect couple under the heavens.
As the sun began to rise, the place is beginning to light up without the need of the assistance of the torch.
The weather this morning is not as cold as the day before. Xiang Ning returned to his quarters and pushed the door open.
He was met with He Chang standing and waiting for him in the room.
'Good morning Chang'ge!' Greeted Xiang Ning cheerfully.
He Chang stared at him, the temperature in his eyes extremely low. Xiang Ning had the illusions that the room is colder than outside.
'Where have you been?' Asked He Chang.
Xiang Ning fidgeted, he knows that Chang'ge does not like the crown prince much.
'I-I was just taking a walk.' He said, avoiding eye contacts.
He Chang scoffed
'Wash up and get changed!' He said, his tone menacing.
He stormed out of the room and slammed the door hard.
Seriously, He Chang's mood swings are really confusing Xiang Ning.
