Ping Shi slowly walked towards the prince and gently hugged him and buried his face in the crook of Xiang Ning's neck.

The prince was shocked, his eyes grew wide and his jaws dropped. He did not know how to react or how to respond. He could only hesitantly hold up his arm and gently pat Ping Shi's back.

'Are you okay?' Asked Xiang Ning with some doubts.

Ping Shi shook his head and heaved a heavy sigh.

'Why did you choose to go with him?' Asked Ping Shi.

Xiang Ning's eyes dimmed

'I'm just...I don't want you to get involved in my problems. I feel guilt-..'

Before he could finish his sentence, Ping Shi suddenly tightened his embrace. The warmth emitting from the other person's body managed to cause Xiang Ning to stop mid way through his sentence. He couldn't help but gave a glance upwards towards the person holding him.

Ping Shi stared down back, the soft and gentle gaze the taller man is using shows how much he cared for the person in his embrace.

'You know what would cause me so much problems?' He asked through a soft whisper.

The prince looked on without saying or doing anything. He just waited silently for the man to say what he wanted to say.

''It's if you get into trouble and I won't be able to help you.' Said Ping Shi.

Xiang Ning blinked silently.

Ever since birth, he has always been ridiculed and laughed at for being stupid and dumb. He was always that person who is out-shadowed and neglected. His father's royal subordinates all hated him and often said he is a beauty without a brain.

However, although he is stupid and dumb, he knows full well what Ping Shi's intentions are. Or at least, what he is hinting at.

'You-...'

Ping Shi raised his finger and placed it gently on Ning's lips, preventing him from saying what he wanted.

'I know you realize my feelings for you. I don't want to hear your answer right now because I know it will be a rejection. However, you will have to give me a chance to prove myself and make you love me. You know even if it is a rejection, I won't give up.'

Xiang Ning looked at the gentle eyes belonging to the man who initially kidnapped him. Now he is confessing his love to him? This is a big irony.

In his heart he had loved only one person so dearly and that was Jin Shan. However, that love is wounded and faded. Now he still has no courage to conjure up some faith to love another person due to the fear of getting hurt again.

Xiang Ning looked away in embarrassment.

He wanted to reject but the other beat him to it by telling him not to reject. So what is going to happen between them now?  

'I'm just an ordinary human, even my princely title is a joke. You're a capable man and you would lower yourself to-...'

Before he could finish his sentence, a kiss dropped onto his lips. Ping Shi furrowed his eyebrows as he pressed his head down harder. He hated how the little prince belittled himself like that.

How could he say that about himself when in such a rotten world, he is the brightest shining diamond in existence?

Ping Shi moved his kiss from the trembling lips to the white neck. Xiang Ning felt shivers running up and down his spines as the strong man continued to suck and kiss his neck skin.

The struggles of the little prince started and as soon as the other felt the tiniest but of resistance, he let go.

Ping Shi looked at the prince who had stopped struggling and his eyes landed on the purplish mark he made on the prince's milky skin. A sense of satisfaction rose in his self esteem. He liked that, and he wouldn't mind doing it again.

Who is the heir of Jin? Who is the emperor of an empire? Right now he is willing to move mountains in order to own this beauty's heart.

'Don't speak like that about yourself, you mean more than all of those fools combined.'

Xiang Ning smiled a little and his heart felt warm.

'Do you want to eat something? I'll go catch fishes for you.' Said Ping Shi.

By catching fishes he meant going into the nearby town to buy some? Xiang Ning thought with a sense of comedy in his heart.

Right now the both of them are walking along a crowded street of vendors and commoners in a nearby town. The night is lit up with lanterns and the quietness of the forest is replaced with joyous laughters and ongoing whispers and talks of the people in this town.

After treating his beloved to the most delicious roasted fish stall he know, he brought Xiang Ning to walk a little.

Xiang Ning looked around and his eyes landed on a small jade bracelet on a small stall in the middle of the market. He walked towards it, following behind him, is Ping Shi.

'Do you like it?' Asked Ping Shi gently, the deep voice tickled the youngster's ears.

Xiang Ning blushed

'No, I'm just looking.' He replied and turned away to walk off.

Ping Shi's thin lips rose a little, a hint of smile is in his eyes as he watched the little prince walk away in a fast paste due to shyness. Ping Shi's handsome face, coupled with the smile is clearly too much to handle.

Some young maidens who are walking nearby blushed and even started to whisper about this handsome young man.

Ping Shi looked at the seller who is a middle aged man. The man smiled at Ping Shi.

'That bracelet is free for you, boy.' Said the man.

Ping Shi lifted one of his eyebrows.

'Free? Why? And how did you know I was going to ask for its price?'

The seller laughed in a hearty manner.

'Hey, an elder has gone through more than you kids. When I was still flirting with my wife, I would buy anything that catches her eyes. That young man is pretty and you're handsome. Such a suitable couple. I'll give this for free, I wish you both a blessed marriage life.' Said the seller

Ping Shi's mood is exceptionally good.

He grabbed one of the jade bracelet and kept it in his pocket.

'He rejected me, there is no marriage between us.' Said Ping Shi

The seller laughed louder

'Soon there will be, kid.' Chuckled the man.

Ping Shi smiled wider, his white teeth showing. One of the young maidens who are spying on our Ping Shi suddenly fainted and the rest tried to help her while some are lost in Ping Shi's smile.

Ping Shi put one gold tael on the table and left the stall with a shocked seller.

That kid is so rich! Haiya! I wish I was this rich when I was asking for my wife's hand in marriage. Thought the man.
