Charlie swam against the current, she inhaled heavily as she coughed water up. She gripped onto a rock and pulled out her gun, aiming it at incoming enemy soldiers and shooting.
She listened into her comms as an unfamiliar voice spoke, but kept cutting off. "Radios pickin' up something," Soap said, "it's American." Charlie said through her gasps for air.
"Here they come! Weapons free!" Alejandro said. Charlie took a deep breath and went under the water, she swam over to a rock before opening fire on some men. Headshots were easy to her due to her concentration.
The group made their way to the bridge, Charlie swam behind as the current prevented her from swimming as fast as the others. "Charlie!" Alejandro shouted, extending his arm out to her. Charlie grabbed onto his lower arm and Alejandro pulled her forward, making sure she didn't fall behind.
"Vehicles on the bridge!" Ghost shouted, Charlie and Alejandro looked ahead, "they're not ours!" Alejandro shouted. "Fuck! It's the army!" Charlie added. Ghost hid behind a rock, the water began to become extremely shallow as Charlie let go of alejandro.
She loaded her gun and positioned it to shoot at the vehicles, "get to cover!" Ghost shouted at Soap as he hid behind a rock. Gunfire rained down onto them as Charlie shot back, only being able to get a few people.
She dodged a bullet by hiding behind the rock and reloading her gun, "shit, Alejandro! There's too many!" She shouted, "don't give up, Niña! Fight till the end!" He replied. The girl took a deep breath and aimed her gun again.
The group was beginning to give up until a sudden voice came over the radio, "this is Shadow-1 engaging the bridge north of your position, danger close!" The man said.
"Who the hell is that?" Alejandro asked. "Commander Graves. Shadow Company. They're with us." Ghost replied, just as he said that an air strike took out the vehicles, destroying the bridge and killing the enemies.
"Shadow-1, This is Bravo 0-7! Good shots! Fire for effect!" Ghost shouted over his radio. "No enemy movement detected, you're clear," Graves said over the radio. Charlie began to laugh a bit out of relief.
"Vamanos, Charlie," Alejandro said, the two came out from behind the rocks and followed Ghost and soap towards the land. She pushed some hair out of her face and shook her hair out almost like a dog. "The fuck are you doin, mate?" Soap asked. "Getting water out of my hair, duh," she replied. Soap chuckled a bit, "is that a little attitude I hear?" Charlie laughed a bit and kept walking, relieved that she would live to see another day.
"It's good to see you boys...and...girl," Graves said over the radio, "likewise, mate," Ghost replied. Charlie rolled her eyes at what Graves said and just kept walking. "Graves we've located a vehicle for exfil," Ghost continued.
"Rodger that, be advised we have a possible hit on Hassan two klicks north of your position," Graves said, something about his voice Charlie cringed at, maybe it was the fact he sounded like a younger version of her father, or the fact that she didn't like southern U.S accents.
Charlie ran ahead from the group and towards the vehicle, "load in!" Ghost shouted, Charlie smiled a bit, "can I hop in the trunk?" She asked, Ghost shot a glare at her, "fuck no, you sit next to me in the back," he said, Charlie groaned a bit but sat next to Ghost.
"You all good to roll up Hassan with some fire from the sky?" Graves asked, "hell yeah!" Charlie shouted, Soap grinned a bit and spoke into his radio, "let's wrap this fucker up Graves."

On the Shadow aircraft Graves instructed his men, he had just finished speaking to Shepherd when he turns around towards a corner, "how you holdin' up there, Four eyes?" Graves asked.
Sitting in a chair in the corner staring at a visual of the land was a woman with long dirty blond hair and glasses. "Better then ever, Graves," the woman replied. "Remember, Laswell might have sent you but you're on my plane, lady," Graves continued, the woman simply rolled her eyes and continued to try and get a visual on the truck and where is was going.
"Keep your eyes on the group, Keller," he said, watching the woman closely as she continued to scope out the truck.
~~~~
Charlie watched the world through the window, she leaned her head against the glass briefly until ghost stopped her, "don't of that, if this truck flips over your head will come clean off," he stated. Charlie sat up straight at the thought of that happening, it definitely freaked her out.
"Ghost, can you hear me?" A female voice called out over Ghost's radio, "loud and clear, Grace, did Laswell send you?" Ghost asked in response, the woman now known as Grace replied, "yup, she put me on an aircraft with a control freak and his minions."
"Who's that?" Charlie asks. "It's Grace Keller, she knows Captain Price and Laswell, her brother and her worked alongside them 3 years ago." Ghost replied, Charlie nodded a bit and turned her attention back out the window.
~~~~
Charlie hopped out of the truck and took out her gun, she squinted at the sight of the sun in her eyes, she looked over and saw Ghost with a pair of sunglasses on over his mask, which made her laugh a bit.
"How do we find Hassan?" Soap asked, "he'll have an armed guard, cartel protection," Alejandro replied, "lots of hiding spots," Charlie said, hiding behind a pile of wood.
"Mark us," Ghost said, Soap raised a marker up in the air and swung it around, making sure the Shadows saw them.
"What's the Plan here, Ghost?" Charlie asked. "We take over the buildings in order to find Hassan," he replied, Charlie nodded a bit, "do I get to use my knife, sir?"
"Not yet, if someone gets too close jab em' in the neck," Ghost tell her. Charlie watched as men with armed weapons went in and out of the buildings and trucks, after not finding Hassan using the air support the group decided to go inside the buildings.
"We go in guns blazin', hope he squirts, and lock him up," Soap said. After Ghost gave authorization to the Shadows to engage with gunned men Charlie began to prepare herself, she was ready to find Hassan, and she was ready to kill him.
Charlie watched as the Shadows destroyed any armed men out there, she prepared herself to go in and as soon as she got the go she was up and moving towards the building. "Shadow-1 we're moving now, if the target squirts let us know," Ghost said, before following Charlie into the building.
"Soap, freeze down the right side, Charlotte get back and stay by me, I need cover," Ghost said, Charlie cringed a bit when he said Charlotte, she wasn't used to people calling her that.
As they breached into the small building, Charlie made eye contact with a cartel member, she held her gun up and held him at gun point as Alejandro yelled in Spanish. Charlie took aim and shot at people as they grabbed their guns, eliminating any threats.
In the corner stood a woman and her young son, they were civilians. Charlie froze and stared at the woman before signaling her to get out of the building. The woman grabbed her son's hand and ran out of the building.
"Copy...moving," Ghost said over the radio, "we need to move out now!" He shouted, Charlie followed him out of the building. As they ran for cover Charlie watched as the building got blown up by the Shadows.
"Boom, Baby!" She shouted before pushing west of the greenhouse. "Charlie, that's a damn good aim you've got," Graves said over her radio, "thank you, sir," she smiled a bit while following Alejandro towards the greenhouse.
