Charlie dove head first into the dirty water, gasping as she came up from it. Soap jumped down after shooting some men down and grabbed onto her, the two eventually making their way through the tunnel. "Ghost," Charlie gasped as she coughed up some water, "talk to me, kiddo," Ghost replied. "We found the tunnel," she said while moving through the water with Soap.
"The church plaza is on the other end of the tunnel, push through...you're nearly there..." Ghost said as Charlie noticed some enemies up ahead. Their armor was too intense and she knew she couldn't break through it with her bullets. So she dove under the water with Soap following her every step of the way.
Charlie almost bumped into a man but swiftly swam around him, she kept her eyes open despite the burning feeling she had while holding them open. She swam over to another soldier and was able to stab his ankle, pulling him down into the water and slitting his throat open. The man gagged before falling into the water.
"You're a god damn animal, kid," Soap chuckled as he watched her, in a way he was proud of her for doing this, she was a strong person and had definitely matured from when he first met her. Charlie washed the blood off of her in the water as they pushed forward.
Eventually the two made their way out of the tunnel, she ran out and looked at the church. "Ghost, we've got eyes on the church," Charlie said into her radio. "Keep moving forward," Ghost stated, "Aye," Soap said in confirmation.
"Ghost, the area is blocked off," Charlie said in annoyance as she looked at the barbed wire blocking them off from the church. "Cut through the shops," Ghost responded as Soap ran over to a van. He jumped onto the roof and hopped a gate. "Oi! Over here!" Soap stated as Charlie ran over and hopped that same gate.
"Shadows are everywhere, I'll hold 'em off until we RV in front of the church and secure a vehicle for exfil," Ghost stated. "Rodger that," Soap responded as he began to pry a door leading out of a shop open.
"Give 'em hell, lads; you're almost there," Ghost stated. "I'll fuck 'em up L-" Charlie was interrupted by a Shadow opening the door and knocking Soap down. "GET DOWN!" The Shadow shouted as it pointed its gun at Charlie, Charlie grabbed her gun to shoot at him but as fast as she did she hears gunshots ring out.
Soap's head turned to look at Charlie who was holding her gun up. "Was that you, kid?!" Soap shouted. "No! It was Ghost!" She said as she began shooting down nearby Shadows.
Charlie helped Soap up and began shooting nearby Shadows. "Ghost, how copy?" Charlie shouts as Ghost replies, "I've got company in the church. They're not here for forgiveness!" Ghost shouts as Soap follows Charlie.
"This is the second time you've ran head first into enemy fire!" Soap yells as Charlie grins, "what can I say, I'm impatient." Soap covered Charlie as they continued moving towards the church.
"Run, Soap! Get to the church steps!" Charlie yells as they rush towards the Church. As they run up the steps they watch as Ghost runs out, carrying Grace on his shoulders.
"Bloody Christ!" Ghost shouts as he hops the large gate, Grace was secure on his shoulder as Charlie looked at Ghost, a sense of relief came over her as she watched him quickly run down the steps with Soap.
"Creepin' Jesus! Is she alive?!" Soap shouts, referring to Grace. "Barely, she needs a place with medical care stat!" Ghost yells. Charlie opened fire on some Shadows while they ran. "Stay sharp. They know we're here and they know it's us," Ghost angrily said as Charlie opened fire on some Shadows. "Charlie, stay close," Ghost said to her as she nodded.
Charlie's hand began to get sore as she continued shooting. Soap watched closely as Charlie took down multiple men with her blade and gun. "Pickup truck dead ahead!" Ghost shouted as Charlie ran toward it. "I'll drive! Charlie get in the back with Grace and Soap take shotgun!" Ghost shouted as Charlie climbed in through the front.
Ghost out Grace in the backseats carefully as he made sure nobody was in the trunk. "Alright, you made it, lads," Ghost said as Charlie caught her breath. "We made it, LT," Soap corrected him. Shots rang out once more as bullets broke the back window.
"Hold fast!" Ghost shouted as Charlie opened fire from the back seat. Ghost backed the truck up and hit a few Shadows. "Well, that's one way of doin' it," Charlie stated as a Shadow aimed its gun at Ghost.
"Get back!" Soap shouted before shooting him. "Thanks," Ghost nodded. "Drive! Me and Charlie will cover you!" Soap said before Ghost began speeding forward and driving the pickup truck away from everything.
