Things are just starting to get interesting over here. Looking forward to sharing more chapters with you guys as the weeks go on.

Happy Reading!

~Blaze~

"You know, you kinda deserved that, right?"  I mused, tilting Ali's head back enough so that the blood would stop running down her tear-stained cheeks.  I'd led her to one of the bedrooms, plopping her down on the bed while Candy and I tried to stop the bleeding, but it had been at least ten minutes since Maggie decked Ali square in the face and it hadn't stopped. Not to mention, Ali's brown eyes were already starting to look puffy and black underneath, and I was pretty sure that her nose was almost perfectly straight before this where it now stood slightly crooked, leaning more to the left side.

I was no doctor, but I damn well knew a broken nose when I saw it.

"Are you fucking kidding me, Blaze?" Ali roared. "I'm the one who sucked your cock last month, not her! You should be defending me."

I bit my lip, hating that she said that out loud cos it wasn't exactly my finest moment. Ali and Candy were looked at as the bottom of the barrel for us. As shitty as it was to say, they were the two girls you turned to as a last resort. They both got passed around so much, a lot of guys liked to refer to them as community pussy—offensive, I know, but it was just how it was. I had been trying to lay off turning to Hellcats, the same way I'd been trying to lay off the booze. The thrill of sex was one of those things that took the edge off, something that made me feel an emotion other the rage and guilt. It was also a crutch but fuck a man had urges and even the best of them gave in sometimes.

"Where the fuck is the doctor?" Ali went on. "It hurts like a bitch!"

She seemed pretty coherent, and not nearly as punch-drunk as I thought she'd be considering the beating she just suffered, but then again, Ali was a very determined woman. Losing Tweaker years ago still hadn't turned her off from Tribe men, or the possibility of becoming an old lady, and I couldn't tell if that made her brave, or stupid. This life wasn't for the faint of heart, and Ali just got a very unfriendly reminder of that.

"He's on his way," I told her, although I had no fucking idea where he was. Plus, I was sure they'd make him tend to Maggie first, since with a hit like that she was bound to have fucked up her hand. "Steer clear of Maggie for a while, will ya? We don't need any more catfights in the clubhouse."

"Maggie didn't have to hit her," Candy remarked. "That girl is a psychotic bitch, and someone needs to take her to a psych ward."

I fought a chuckle, cos while I myself thought Maggie would benefit from some kind of mental health treatment, I didn't think she need to be locked away in a looney bin.

Some anger management classes wouldn't hurt, but shit —we could all probably use some of those.

"Ali didn't have to lie about sucking Bear off in front of his daughter," I shrugged.

Ali tried to narrow her eyebrows in annoyance but winced when the action caused her nose to scrunch. "Fuck her! I was only kidding; she needs to relax."

"Seriously," Candy agreed. "Just because she's Bear's kid doesn't mean everyone will just forget all the shit she's done, especially after bringing that Rebel in here."

"I may get passed around by whoever wants a warm mouth around their dick, but I'd never be caught dead with a Rebel," Ali added, wincing again as she tried to straighten her position up against the shitty metal headboard she was leaning against. "And I'd never do anything that could intentionally hurt a Tribe member."
