"Yeonjun, you know...if you just keep worrying, nothing is going to change." After waking up from a bad headache, Wooyoung was finally trying to give advice to Yeonjun. The first thing he did when he woke up was look around confused, and then it clicked to him why he was "sleeping" in the first place.
"Then what should I do, Wooyoung. The only thing I can do is worry, because if I try to get involved, it'll be bad for me AND Beomgyu...and I don't want to make things hard for him." Yeonjun mumbled the last part, it seemed like he was worried more for Beomgyu, then himself.
"Dude, you've gone completely soft, who knew you'd care about someone else before yourself. I get that you don't want to hurt the prince, but sometimes you just have to do the first plan you come up with. Who knows when the prince's marriage ceremony will be announced. While you have the time, do something."
Yeonjun closed his eyes, putting his hands in his hair. Wooyoung was right, Beomgyu's marriage announcement would be announced anytime from now, and if Yeonjun didn't do something now, his chance would be long gone.
"Wooyoung, get out, I need time to think." Making a waving movement with his hand, Yeonjun asked Wooyoung to leave. He needed time to think...without Wooyoung being in the way. "No need to tell me twice, bye bye Choi Yeonjun!" As if this was the happiest moment of his life, Wooyoung left the hideout in no time.
"I'll get you out of this, Beomgyu. No matter what."
*~*~*
"So, how should we do this?" Beomgyu was tapping his foot on the floor, trying to break the awkward silence. It seemed like Ryujin and Yuna were still in big thought...especially Ryujin. Until she finally got back to her senses. "Hmm, well, Beomgyu. Do you perhaps have anyone you like?"
Did Beomgyu have someone that he liked? One person was constantly coming up in his mind, but Beomgyu must've gone crazy. He couldn't love Yeonjun, no matter what. Yeonjun was a WANTED criminal, and he was the prince in line for the throne.
"Pfft, no. What makes you think that?" "I don't know, you just seem like there's someone you're thinking of." Beomgyu looked away, scratching his neck. He didn't know the answer himself anymore.
"Well, I have someone I like...but I won't tell you who!" Ryujin winked at Beomgyu, and then laughed. "Then I won't tell you who I like either, deal?" "I thought you didn't have anyone you liked!"
*~*~*
Beomgyu looked up at the ceiling, laying down with one hand under his head. He was happy, and laughing thinking about everything that happened today. Ryujin was really fun to be around, and Yuna also helped brighten the mood.
Beomgyu felt like he could tell them anything, and it would stay safe with them. It didn't even feel like he was marrying Ryujin, it seemed like he was just hanging out with a long-time friend. Beomgyu was grateful for finding someone so understanding like her.
"Beomgyu, your father is asking for you." With a slight knock on the door, Hueningkai opened the door, gesturing Beomgyu to get up and go downstairs. "Thanks, I'll be right there." Getting off from his humongous bed, Beomgyu walked down the long stairs to the main hall.
"Father, you asked for me?" Walking into the King's own office, Beomgyu sat down in front of him, waiting to hear what he had to say. "Oh, yes, Beomgyu, I wanted to tell you, it has been revealed that Choi Yeonjun attended your birthday party. We don't know any other details, but, I will be giving you more security. We can't let anything happen to you, even more now that you're about to take my place."
That was the confirmation Beomgyu needed. It really was Choi Yeonjun, the guy he called his best friend, and the guy he now liked. "Thank you for letting me know, Father. I'll be going to my room now." Walking up the stairs now, Beomgyu had so much to think about.
Should he really just sit still and stay good? Or should he fight for what he truly wants?
Beomgyu was ready to finally do what he wanted. He knew what he wanted now. The first thing he needed to do though was, meet up with Yeonjun again. So that's what he was planning to do, packing a satchel and using his makeshift ladder, and finally, climbing out of the window.
Once he was on the ground, he realized something. He didn't even know where Yeonjun lived, how would he meet up with him, if he didn't have any way to actually tell him where to meet up.
"I'll just walk, I'll eventually find him...right?" Beomgyu started walking down the long trail to the village. If he got caught, he would be in so much trouble, and he had no time to be grounded at a time like this.
*~*~*
Yeonjun had made up his mind. He'd go see Beomgyu today, and tell him the truth. He wanted Beomgyu to know everything, because if he liked him...he knew he couldn't keep lying to him. So, wearing a hoodie and covering his face with a mask, Yeonjun took the route to the castle, like it was engraved in his head already.
While walking though, a guy accidentally bumped into him! On instinct, Yeonjun grabbed onto the guy's sweater, trying to make the fall lighter, knowing it was going to happen. The guy ended up on top of him, there legs tangled together.
"Dude, what's your problem?" Out of instinct, Yeonjun yelled at the guy. The guy in question raised his head up, and even though he was wearing a mask, Yeonjun knew those eyes better then anything else. "Beomgyu?" "I'm really sorry, I don't know what I was thinking! Please spare me!" Beomgyu immediately got up, putting his hands together and bowing to Yeonjun.
Yeonjun laughed, Beomgyu was so cute. "It's me, Taehyun. What are you doing out here all alone?" "Taehyun?" Beomgyu immediately raised his head up, wearing a scared, but confused face.
"Why are you here?" "Oh, I was looking for you, Taehyun! Do you have anywhere we can go, I have something to talk about." It was like the two never bumped into each other in the first place. Even though confused, Yeonjun agreed to take him to a nearby park to talk.
"Wow, I've never been to a park before. What are all those machines over there?" While walking, Beomgyu spotted a playground in the distance, except he didn't know it was a playground. "Those aren't machines, silly! That's a playground, for kids to play in."
"Can we play in it?" "I'm not sure.." Beomgyu pouted, and it was enough for Yeonjun to crack. "-finee, we can play in it. Let's go!" Feeling a sudden boost of confidence, Yeonjun held Beomgyu's wrist and gently tugged him the rest of the way.
"Watch how good I am at swinging, Beomgyu!" It had been years since Yeonjun last went to a playground. Back when he lived a normal life as a kid, the playground was his favorite place to go. Now that he was an adult, and also a criminal, having fun was the last thing Yeonjun had in his mind.
Swinging his legs back and forth, Yeonjun made the whole swing set shake as he swung. "Isn't it scary?" Beomgyu yelled over to Yeonjun, trying to outweigh the loud, excited noises Yeonjun was making.
"No, it isn't! Come try! Here, I'll help you!" Getting off the swing set, Yeonjun put his hand in front of Beomgyu. "Would you care to take my hand, prince?" "Oh stop!" Beomgyu hit Yeonjun's hand lightly, then took it and let him lead him onto the swings.
After Beomgyu barely got onto the swings, Yeonjun started pushing him from the back. He took the time to admire Beomgyu's figure, and the way his hair would move in the breezy air.
Everything about him was perfect, and Yeonjun didn't need to think twice on how perfect Beomgyu was. "How about we go sit somewhere together and talk?" Beomgyu called out to Yeonjun, thinking he'd never be able to talk about the heavy things if he didn't stop having fun with Yeonjun.
"Of course, there's a bench right there?" Beomgyu nodded his head, getting off the swings and following Yeonjun to the bench. They both sat down, and it was silent. Yeonjun was thinking of how much fun he had with Beomgyu, and Beomgyu was thinking of how he should start talking.
"So, Taehyun, I wanted to tell you something."
"Go ahead." Beomgyu looked Yeonjun into the eyes, and just stared at him for a few seconds, before speaking again.
"I know who you really are." Yeonjun immediately froze, all the happiness drowning from his face.
"I wish you would've just told me the truth from the start, Choi Yeonjun."
