"So you ran away so you wouldn't have to get married? Beomgyu, this is bad..like really!" Belmgyu pouted, did Yeonjun not want him to stay here? "-Your Dad is the King you know. I'm worried for you." Putting the last little wrap of bandage on Beomgyu's hand, Yeonjun got up to go put the bandage wrap back in the cabinet.

He felt a tug on his wrist though, and looked back to see Beomgyu holding his wrist. "Don't go." Yeonjun smiled, and patted Beomgyu's head. "I'm just going to put the bandage wrap back where it was. I promise it'll only take me a few seconds." With that, Yeonjun took his hand out of Beomgyu's grip and went to put the bandage wrap back.

There was a sudden sound of footsteps coming from what seemed like the top floor. "Yeonjun? Is there supposed to be someone upstairs?" "Huh, Beomgyu? Give me a sec!" Too late, the small, wooden, square door had already opened up, and the ladder was put down.

A pair of boots came down first, and as the person climbed the ladder down Beomgyu could start seeing his full body. He looked familiar, but from where? And why was he coming down anyways! Was someone breaking in right now? Beomgyu had to act quick, since Yeonjun was still putting away the bandages.

He picked up the closest thing he saw, the lamp that was on the small side table. It was now, or never...the person would be coming down all the way any second now. "AHHHH-" Beomgyu ran up to the ladder and was about to throw the lamp into the person's face, but the person was fighting back! "AHHHH YEONJUN HELP ME I'M BEING AMBUSHED WITH A LAMP!"

Yeonjun who had just finished putting the bandage wrap back, quickly went back to the main room to see what was all the commotion. He saw Beomgyu, holding a lamp and trying to smash Wooyoung's head with it. Wooyoung was barely keeping it away from his head though, dang, Beomgyu was definitely strong...off topic!

"Beomgyu! Stop, he's a friend!" Quickly going up to the boy holding the lamp, Yeonjun released Beomgyu's grip from it and took it away. The whole scene playing in his head again, Yeonjun could not hold in his laughter. "Yah, why is this kid still here? I thought you would be done "talking" to him by now." "Excuse me, I'm not a kid! I just turned 18 not too long ago, and I know for sure you weren't invited to my party!"

"HUH? He's talking back now too, I might just have to-" "Pfft, woah, woah. Okay, let's stop now." Yeonjun was barely holding in his laugh as he took Beomgyu's hand and led him to the couch. "Why are you laughing, Yeonjun. I thought someone was breaking in just now!" Beomgyu playfully hit Yeonjun's chest. "I never knew you were that strong, Beomgyu."

"Wait...BEOMGYU? The prince, BEOMGYU? Oh my gosh, Yeonjun I- Oh my gosh." Wooyoung was going crazy on the other couch across from Beomgyu and Yeonjun. "Prince, this guy has had a crush on you for forever, you don't understand like-" "OKAY, Wooyoung, if you say one more thing I'm ripping your head off."

"You've had a crush on me since forever? Aww, you're so cute!" Beomgyu pinched Yeonjun's cheeks, and Yeonjun was trying to cover his face with his hands. "WHAT AM I WITNESSING." Beomgyu had forgotten Yeonjun's friend was still here. "What's your name, Yeonjun's friend?" Clearing his throat, Wooyoung said his name loud and clear.

"My name is Jung Wooyoung, your highness." At that, Yeonjun stood up and hit Wooyoung. "Stop being like that, your making him uncomfortable." Wooyoung's eyes went the size of quarters, "So you're all soft with him, but not with me!"

Yeonjun rolled his eyes, "If you came just to talk, you can leave now." Wooyoung stood up from the couch, and went back to the door. "I'm not one to give advice but, be careful, and make sure you guys don't stay out in public together for too long." And with that, Wooyoung climbed up the ladder and left.

Yeonjun turned around to meet eyes with Beomgyu who was still sitting on the couch. "Listen, Beomgyu. Tomorrow you're going back to the castle, you hear me?" Beomgyu was shocked, he had come all this way to find Yeonjun, just for him to convince him to go back?

"No! I'm not going back there, I'm staying with you. If this is because of what Wooyoung said, ignore it! We won't get caught as long as we're careful!" Yeonjun closed his eyes and shook his head, "Beomgyu, if you want to stay alive you need to go! There's no one here to take care of you when I need to leave. The village is dangerous, especially if you stay with me."

"No. I. Don't. Want. To. Leave!" Beomgyu took a pillow from behind him and threw it at Yeonjun. Yeonjun barely caught the pillow, and with that, started taking steps closer to Beomgyu. "It's not something I'm letting you choose, you have to-" "Do you want me to get married, Yeonjun? You want me to get married next week, that's why your not letting me stay here!"

The same feeling Beomgyu felt when he first ran away to the village came back to Beomgyu now. A feeling of rage, frustration, and mostly sadness. The overwhelming feelings made Beomgyu feel the slight tears coming out of his eyes.

Yeonjun was shocked to see Beomgyu crying, and quickly went to hug him. "I don't want you to leave either...but I don't know how to keep you safe if you stay here." "Let me stay than! I promise to not be a burden, just- let me stay here...with you."

"I- okay, we'll figure out everything tomorrow. My room is right over there, go sleep on the bed. I'll be here in the morning when you wake up." Yeonjun tried to let go of Beomgyu, but the boy was holding him even tighter now.

"Carry me." Too shy to say it out loud, Beomgyu buried his head in Yeonjun's chest to make his voice sound muffled. "What was that?" Beomgyu said it a bit louder this time, "Carry me!" "I can't hear you that well, Beomgyu. What did you say?"

Beomgyu looked up at Yeonjun, an annoyed expression on his face. "Carry me, you dumbo!" Yeonjun laughed, "Dumbo? That is such a kindergarten comeback, Beomgyu. But i'll carry you, since you want me to so bad.."

Putting one arm under his back, and the other under his knees, Yeonjun carried Beomgyu bridal-style to the bed. He threw him softly onto the bed, and quickly went on top of him. He was satisfied with the shy look Beomgyu was giving him as he inched closer.

"Good night, Beomgyu." Quickly pecking his lips so he wouldn't hesitate, Yeonjun got off the bed. "Where are you going?" Yeonjun was surprised to hear Beomgyu asking that. "I'm going to sleep on the couch?" "Sleep with me, please." Picking up the blanket, Beomgyu patted the space next to him.

Yeonjun just smiled, too tired to ask anymore questions. He got on the bed again and laid down next to Beomgyu. It was too bad that there was only one pillow on the bed, which meant both boys had to share it.

Unconsciously drifting off to sleep, Yeonjun pulled Beomgyu closer and put his arm onto his waist. He could feel Beomgyu breathing onto his chest, and his soft hair right under his chin. If he was the same Yeonjun just two months ago, he would've never believed his life would be like this right now.

Tomorrow he would have to figure out what the two of them had to choose from.
