The weeks went by slowly, with no Beomgyu sending him letters, Yeonjun felt empty inside. He knew their last meeting didn't end up the way they'd both hoped, and Yeonjun worried that Beomgyu had gotten into trouble because of him. He was able to send some letters to Beomgyu, but with no replies back, Yeonjun didn't know what else to do.
He was considering going to the castle to meet Beomgyu in person again, but then thought that Beomgyu would think of him as desperate. So, he sat on the couch, in his hideout, drinking coffee, with an empty mind. There were so many things he had lied to Beomgyu about, and Yeonjun didn't know what would happen if Beomgyu found out.
Even though his mind was nothing but empty, Yeonjun couldn't stop thinking about the bad outcomes of all of this.
*~*~*
"Wha-what, how could you lie to me! I trusted you, and now I find out that I've been hanging out with a CRIMINAL?" Beomgyu raised his voice at him, and this was the first time that Yeonjun saw Beomgyu angry, and sad. He watched as Beomgyu turned his back to him, hitting everything he saw in sight.
He eventually slid onto the floor, having a breakdown on the ground. And what did Yeonjun do, he watched. He didn't know WHAT to do, so he watched Beomgyu cry on the ground. Unconsciously, a tear slipped from his eye, as he looked at the boy he loved, on the ground, crying, because of him.
This wasn't the ending Yeonjun wished for.
*~*~*
"Yeonjun? Yo, Yeonjun, you there dude?" Yeonjun snapped out of it, seeing Wooyoung standing in front of him. "You okay there, you seemed like you were crying, but in the weirdest way ever." "Way to cheer me up." Yeonjun mumbled out a small reply, wiping the tears that had unconsciously fell from his eyes.
He had not only cried in his daydream, but he had also cried in real time. It just went to show, Beomgyu had completely taken over Yeonjun's life. Everything he did, he thought of Beomgyu while doing it. It was like Beomgyu was a drug, that he couldn't stop getting into.
Yeonjun was addicted, but he didn't want to stop anytime soon. "So how'd the royal party go? Did you get any good information?" "Uh- no, but I got to see the prince." "Ooo! How was he?"
"Pretty." "Huh?" "Oh-uh- nothing. Nevermind. He was just- good. Yeah, good." It sounded more like Yeonjun was trying to convince himself then actually answering Wooyoung's question.
"Okay...if you say so." Yeonjun decided to change the topic. He didn't want to blow up his cover more then he'd already did. "Why are you here anyways, Wooyoung? You never come just to hangout."
"I can't come see my friend?" "Cut the crap, you didn't JUST come to see me." "Whatever, I came because I wanted to tell you about something I heard about the prince." Yeonjun's ears immediately perked up, maybe it was something good?
"Apparently, the King is looking for a partner for the prince. He doesn't want the prince to be by himself during his coronation..." Yeonjun stayed silent, not knowing what to say. "...but the King is going to pick out the person himself, and he wants a girl, not a boy."
"Wha-what?"
