Yeonjun was running. There was no time to waste. He needed to hear the truth from Beomgyu. Was the news really real? Was Beomgyu really getting married? Yeonjun knew it would take some time for the King to find the right person, but Yeonjun wasn't going to wait even the tiniest bit.

That's why he was running, to the castle, at 9:00 PM. Would Beomgyu still be awake? Probably not, but Yeonjun hoped he was. He needed to hear the news from Beomgyu himself. Yeonjun kept running, and wouldn't stop even for the slightest bit of breath. The problem at hand was overweighing his tiredness. He couldn't stop now.

When he made it to the big elegant castle, he saw that all the lights were turned off. That was not a good sign, as it made it hard for Yeonjun to move around, and it meant Beomgyu might've already fallen asleep. Yeonjun hadn't thought about what he would do if Beomgyu was already sleeping. He hadn't even thought about what he was going to say to Beomgyu if he was able to face him.

Yeonjun didn't want to seem obsessed, but every scenario that came up in his mind made him look like he cared too much. I mean, Yeonjun and Beomgyu were friends, so there shouldn't be a problem with simply worrying about your friends...right? Yeonjun didn't know what he was doing anymore. He was stuck in a big jumble of questions in his mind.

Before he knew it, he was already under Beomgyu's window.

With slight hesitation, Yeonjun called out for Beomgyu.

*~*~*

The news had to come to him so long ago, but Beomgyu stills couldn't get used to it. After the talk he had with his parents, his father had started taking him to meet more and more princesses to marry. So much, that he had no time to write any letters to Taehyun!

Every single one of them loved Beomgyu, and really wanted to be the chosen one. Beomgyu didn't like any of them though. Not because they weren't pretty, or nice...but because he didn't want to marry someone he didn't love.

Surprisingly enough, Beomgyu's father, the King's mood had become better ever since he'd started taking Beomgyu to look at potential wives. He was happy all of a sudden, and tried telling Beomgyu about all the good things of each girl.

"This one is very pretty, don't you think Beomgyu?" "This one is very smart, she could help you a lot when you become King." "This one is very kind, i'm very good friends with her dad. I'd say she is the best pick, Beomgyu." It seemed like Beomgyu's dad was finding a wife.

What was happening with the real Queen...she was watching everything from a distance. She chose not to go to any of the meetings with princesses, and instead opted to share her feelings with Beomgyu.

"I also had no choice but to marry your father for my kingdom's sake. Of course, now I really love your father, but it wasn't like that when I first married him." "...what are you trying to say, Mother?"

"I'm not for this whole arranged marriage, but think about the good things, Beomgyu. Maybe you will eventually find someone you love, whether it be the girl you marry, or someone you find in the future." "How am I supposed to find the one I love, if I'm tied by being the King with a Queen already."

"That means nothing, you can find someone new, work it out with the person you married, and live happily with your new partner...that was my plan when I had first married your father. Except, I didn't have the guts to do it, therefore I was stuck in this marriage."

"So you didn't actually love father before?" "No, but I do now. Your father is a very big part of my life, and I will forever be grateful for him. I just wonder sometimes, what would have happened if I chose to do my plan?"

"Don't you think our kingdom's reputation is on a very thin line if I choose to do what I want." "As long as you're happy, I see no problem with it. Do what you want, and don't be afraid of what others say." What Beomgyu's mother had said to him was still playing in his mind as he walked up the stairs to his room.

He'd have a lot of things to think about once he finally layed down in bed. He quickly washed up, changed into some more comfortable clothes, and headed to his bed. Before he could lay down in it though, he heard a faint voice, calling him from below his window.

"Beomgyu! Beomgyu, are you still awake? I want to talk to you! It's me, Taehyun!" Taehyun? Why was he here right now? It was late at night, and all the lights in the castle had already turned off.

"Taehyun?" Beomgyu looked down out of the window, and as he expected, there was Taehyun, standing there, a look of worry on his face. "Beomgyu! Are you okay?" "Me? You're asking me? Uh, yeah, I am?" "Oh, uh, I just- I don't-, uh-"

Beomgyu laughed, seeing Taehyun stuttering so much. "Sorry, I have nothing to give you so you can climb up today...since I didn't know you were coming in the first place." Beomgyu said the last part very quietly, he didn't want to make Taehyun guilty for coming without saying anything.

He still heard it though, but chose to stay silent, and the awkwardness had awakened. No one said anything, afraid they'd make it worse if they did. After a few minutes, Yeonjun knew it'd be hard for him to go home if he didn't start talking now.

"Uh, Beomgyu, Is it okay if I ask you something? You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to!" "What is it, Taehyun? Don't be afraid to ask, I'm sure it's not that bad!"

"Are you going to marry someone soon?"
