Beomgyu had never felt happier. Even after his 18th birthday, he still kept in contact with his new friend, "Taehyun". Of course, it was a bit hard to keep in contact with him, considering the completely different lives they were living. Beomgyu found his ways through though, and today was a very special day for him and Taehyun.

Taehyun had finally agreed to come see him at the palace again, of course without letting Beomgyu's dad know. It was risky, but Beomgyu had already fallen so deep, he found no use in trying to climb out. He knew how furious his dad would be if he found out that Beomgyu had been hanging out with a non-royal.

He knew not only would he be punished, but his new friend, Taehyun, would too. Yet, he couldn't just stop talking to him. Beomgyu was too attached to just say goodbye, and he had never felt this way either.

Setting all the bad thoughts aside, Beomgyu focused on that task at hand. Prior to starting the plan, Beomgyu had asked Taehyun if he was good at climbing, through letters of course.Taehyun had answered yes, and that was how Beomgyu had thought of how to get Taehyun inside the palace.

Beomgyu had told Taehyun to sneak behind the castle and stand under Beomgyu's window. Beomgyu would then throw out his makeshift ladder that he would be making out of bedsheets, and let Taehyun climb up. As long as Taehyun left before 9:00 PM, there wouldn't be any problems with them getting caught.

At least that's what Beomgyu had thought.

*~*~*

Yeonjun was panicking. Beomgyu had asked him to sneak into the palace so they could meet again. Now, Yeonjun was all for it, but knew it was nothing but risky. The chances of them being caught was so high, and Yeonjun couldn't afford getting caught.

Desperate for Beomgyu's friendship, Yeonjun had already lied about his identity. It was for the best, but whenever Yeonjun got letters from Beomgyu starting with, "Dear My Best Friend, Taehyun," he felt nothing but guilt. Yet he couldn't stop talking to Beomgyu, it was like a magnet was keeping him from moving away.

So when it was time to leave for the palace, Yeonjun felt nothing but ready to face Beomgyu again. He walked the long path to the palace again, this time wearing casual clothes and not caring how he looked. He knew Beomgyu wouldn't care either, as Beomgyu had wrote to him before saying he'd love to see how he looked wearing normal clothes.

Casually slipping through the big gate at the front, Yeonjun made his way behind the palace. Once he made it to the back, he saw the one window that was open and lit. "Taehyun, you made it!" Beomgyu was leaning out of the window, waving excitedly like a happy baby.

Yeonjun couldn't help but smile and wave back as he made his way under the window. Beomgyu immediately threw his makeshift ladder down, and if Yeonjun was being honest, it looked like the ladder couldn't hold even the lightest of objects, let alone a whole human. But Yeonjun still tried, rubbing his hands on his pants and climbing up little by little.

Back when Yeonjun was happy, when his parents were still alive, Yeonjun had took a few gymnastics lessons. In that time, he learned how to climb ropes, which Yeonjun would forever be grateful for. He used this ability to save himself lots of times. And now, he was using it to meet Beomgyu again.

As soon as Yeonjun had climbed inside, Beomgyu had given him a big hug. Yeonjun not knowing whether to hug back or not decided to just pat Beomgyu on the back. They stayed like that for a few minutes, feeling each other's presence again after being away from each other for a little less then a month.

Yeonjun was really questioning the relationship he had with Beomgyu, considering how they acted around each other. Maybe he was just thinking too much, he was Beomgyu's first friend anyways. Soon, Beomgyu pulled away and told Yeonjun to sit anywhere he'd like.

Yeonjun opted to sit on Beomgyu's bed, and immediately felt the difference in comfort compared to his bed at home. They spent the next two hours talking back-and-forth, mostly just Beomgyu talking and Yeonjun nodding his head. Beomgyu talked so much that he had completely forgotten that he was supposed to tell Yeonjun to leave at 9:00 PM.

Before he could even think of telling Yeonjun, Beomgyu's butler had opened the door.

Yeonjun and Beomgyu were doomed.
