"I wish you would've just told me the truth from the start, Choi Yeonjun." Yeonjun didn't meet eyes with Beomgyu, choosing to look at the ground. He didn't know what to say, or do, so he opted to stay silent.

It was quiet for a few minutes, both boys not knowing what to say next. Yeonjun finally decided to look into Beomgyu's eyes, causing the younger to flinch from the unexpected eye contact. "Sorry, I just- I went to your birthday without meeting you in mind. I went for the fun of it, but I happened to meet you, and I didn't think I could trust you...so I decided to fake my identity."

"I'm sorry as well, I shouldn't have said that before. I understand it's hard to reveal something so big, and I wish I would've thought about it more before showing hard feelings." Beomgyu looked at the ground, his hands holding on to each other in his lap, playing with them in order to stay warm.

Yeonjun took the initiative to hold Beomgyu's hand in his own, carefully caressing it. It was like a million butterflies had went into Beomgyu's body at once, as he heard his heart beating loudly. "No hard feelings, am I right, Beomgyu?" Beomgyu smiled, nodding carefully.

"You know I'm not a good person, right? I'm a criminal, and I'm wanted for jail. Are you sure you're okay being with me, Beomgyu?" "Of course I am! If I weren't, I wouldn't be letting you hold my hand right now." Beomgyu mumbled the last part, shy that he was acknowledging Yeonjun's actions.

Yeonjun smiled, as he pictured everything that was happening in his head. He wouldn't let anyone make him forget this moment, no matter what. "Come, it's getting late. I'll walk you back to the palace." It was undeniable that the time had gone by fast, neither of the two boys knowing exactly how long though.

As the two boys walked the path to the palace, holding hands, and looking up at the sky. The night sky was beautiful, stars peeking out from the trees, and not a single ray of light in sight. Just the stars, lighting up the world.

"You know, Yeonjun. I'm getting married soon." Beomgyu said this in a calm tone, too calm for Yeonjun. "Are you okay with getting married?" Instead of lashing out, Yeonjun decided to ask Beomgyu a question, despite being surprised by the sudden news.

"Not really, but the girl is nice I guess. I just wish I could find my love, instead of being handed to random people I have zero knowledge about." Hearing Beomgyu talk with such sincerity, made Yeonjun feel like he was the one going through it all. Like he was the prince, being handed into a marriage, ready to take the throne with someone he had no idea about.

"It's not over, until it really is. You still have a chance, a chance to find your true love, and stop the marriage." Yeonjun stopped walking, taking both Beomgyu's hands in his own. They were now facing each other, as Yeonjun tried cheering up Beomgyu.

"I know, and I'll find a way out of it, with you, Yeonjun!" Beomgyu smiled, hitting Yeonjun on the shoulder as he started walking again. He was too shy to look Yeonjun in the eyes again. Yeonjun laughed, running to catch up to Beomgyu. They were only a few studs away from the castle, and it meant both boys had to say goodbye to each other soon.

Beomgyu turned around, before making his way to the back of the castle. "Bye Yeonjun, stay out of trouble." Beomgyu said the last part with a wink, as he waved with his hands. Yeonjun jokingly rolled his eyes, flashing a wink back to Beomgyu. He waved back, as he watched Beomgyu's figure get smaller and smaller in the distance.

*~*~*

"Prince, your father is calling for you downstairs." Beomgyu was already ready for the day, having taken a shower and done his hair. He was currently sitting at his desk, looking at past worksheets from his royal lessons.

"Hm? Oh, okay. I'll be there soon, thanks Kai." Beomgyu got up from his desk, straightening his clothes as he followed Kai out the door. To put it simply, Beomgyu hadn't stopped thinking about what had happened yesterday since it happened.

He thought maybe looking through worksheets would make him think about other things. Clearly it didn't work though, because whenever he thought of something else, Yeonjun would pop up in his head over the smallest resemblances.

Beomgyu was looking at worksheets, flipping through them with his hands. Looking at his hands made Beomgyu remember the fact that Yeonjun had held his hands yesterday. Also, that they held hands the whole way back to the palace. Beomgyu was really going crazy.

Knocking on the King's door, Beomgyu waited for a reply to open the door. "Come in." Hearing the words, Beomgyu walked inside his father's office and sat down in front of him. "You wanted to see me, Father?"

"Ah, yes. I have something to ask you." Beomgyu nodded, waiting for the question to come out of his dad's mouth. "Did you perhaps leave the castle last night? In other words, sneak out?" Beomgyu was shocked, he thought he had left, and come home without a single problem.

"I-" "No need to lie, I already know the answer." Beomgyu looked down, starting to play with his fingers, as he always did when he was nervous.

"Now care to explain to me where you went yesterday at night, Choi Beomgyu?"
