'It's too big it won't fit in!' John wakes up with a start hearing the Baroness in the next room. He's had just about enough of this first it was all night now first thing in the morning. 'Will you stop being so over dramatic Baroness? We made it fit before we can again try sitting on it.' The Baroness grunts with disgust. 'What? Are you too good to sit on it, jesus christ I'll do it.' John throws back his covers and storms into your room. 'Right I've-' He stops you are sitting on a suitcase that just won't zip closed. 'Oh hey John, morning.' John looks at you both. 'John did we not discuss knocking last night honestly some people have no boundaries.' the Baroness reprimands him.

'Hey can you come and sit on this?' you ask. 'What?' John's eyes widen. 'The suitcase? Someone decided she needed three suitcases for one overnight.' you look confused. 'What did you think I meant?' John shakes his head. 'I-uh nothing here I'll get that.' he holds down the case and zips it up. 'Sorry, John what did you come through for?' you ask brushing your hair. 'I- nothing, not a damn thing.' he leaves back to his room. 'What was that all about?' you ask. The Baroness shrugs. 'You know John has always been somewhat of an odd duck with his little quirks.' You look at her as she starts to reassemble her breakfast sandwich to be exactly how she likes it. 'Yeah, out of the three of us he's the weirdo.' you look at her.

The Baroness not noticing your look nods in agreement with you.

When you get back home it's business as usual you design for your queen she deals with the daily stresses of her job. Nights have returned to normal the chair is placed beside her desk and you rub her feet as you chat. Why the woman persists in constantly wearing heels is beyond you. The burn on your back has healed and so has your leg. You have scars and still, limp on occasion. John has healed up nicely too he just can't overdo it. Unlike the Baroness who is suitably more delicate than you both her bruises have turned a horrible yellow colour. She hates it. You are careful with her and always give her gentle kisses.

That does not begin to compare to the psychological damage she frequently wakes up screaming thinking she's back in prison. You've worked out a cure for this. Every time it happens she gets into a panic the only thing that works is whispering sweetly that she is safe with you and massaging her back. Particularly when you go over the area of her old scar from her husband. You try a few times to get her to tell you what happened in prison. This is pointless it only makes her shut down.

John brings her tea in her office while you are out walking Genghis he can see she looks tired. 'Thank you.' she reaches for the cup but her hand shakes and she drops it. 'Hell!' she burns her hand. John quickly takes her in his arms leading her to the bathroom sink running cold water on the burn. It's not serious just stings a little. She is staring down at her hand when John turns the tap off. 'Baroness.' he sees she's not moved. 'What's going on?' She catches herself and quickly drys her hand. 'Nothing, thank you John.' she briskly turns to leave.

"I think I've seen this film before

And I didn't like the ending
I'm not your problem anymore
So who am I offending now?
You were my crown
Now I'm in exile, seein' you out
I think I've seen this film before
So I'm leavin' out the side door"

'Victoria.' he gently grabs her upper arm stopping her. John has only used her name one other time it was to get her to focus on giving you CPR. He also rarely touches her because he knows that she hates it. The Baroness immediately looks into her valet's eyes. 'What's going on?' he repeats softly her eyes go to his hand he immediately let's go. 'Im- I have been, heaven's sake. I keep having nightmares, I know it sounds childish but I do. I wake up screaming remembering the humiliation I endured. It's no secret I am a proud woman John what happened to me scarred me deeply. I fear if it continues (y/n) will wish to leave me.' she speaks sadly.

John looks sympathetic. 'Don't be ridiculous she worships you.' The Baroness flares her nostrils. 'It's not a life this being stuck with me in this condition the poor girl hasn't had a decent night's sleep in months. I expect she will wish to return to her own room and slowly drift from me.' John folds his arms. 'That's not going to happen.' The Baroness looks doubtful. 'Since being with me she's nearly been killed twice and raped once. She puts up with my moods, she tolerates our age difference. I fear this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back.' she wrings her hands and then leaves him. Her heart only sinks when she passes your old room you've gone for a nap in there with Genghis.

The Baroness enters and moves a strand of hair back from your face. 'I fear we have finally reached the end of our story my dear.' she leans down kisses your forehead and tucks you into the covers. Leaving she glances over her shoulder at you her bottom lip quivers and she gently closes the door. You sleep most of the afternoon when you go up you go find her in her study. 'Baroness.' you greet softly. She looks up at you over her glasses. 'Hm?' You frown sensing she seems off. 'What's wrong?' The Baroness goes back to her paperwork. 'All is well, why wouldn't it be?' You raise an eyebrow classic, "I'm in a bad mood and it's everyone's fault but mine."

'Riiiight. Great, so I need you to clear your plans for tonight. I need to talk to you.' The Baroness freezes. 'You are here now why aren't you speaking?' You smirk and roll your eyes you are used to the moods. 'It's not that kind of talk it's important. It's regarding our relationship. Meet me here tonight okay?' "Ah, yes, here it comes. The talk." The Baroness thinks to herself. 'Very well. How does 8.30 sound?' she suggests. 'That's perfect, I'll see you then.'
