What you need to understand about life is not everyone gets a happy ending. No one does. Happy endings are often just unfinished stories take for example the standard fairytale princess. After she rides off to happily ever after is that it? No. Eventually, she or the prince will die leaving the other alone until they ultimately die as well. Not what Id personally call happy. The graveyard is quiet and there is a single black car, an open grave, and a priest. John leans on a black cane standing by the grave, the Baroness steps forward dressed in a black dress with an accentuated neckline.

The officers who are inside the building have been hit badly and everyone including the wedding guests is working as a team to help each other. A few have already died crushed under the rubble of the house. You hear a high-pitched c sound you feel like hell as you wake up you immediately start choking from the smoke. You have dark marks of ash all over your skin. A piece of debris is wedged in your thigh and thick dark blood is oozing out. You don't touch it as the blood would spill faster. It's taken a moment but the pain washes over you as you realise your shoulder has been burned your lips part in pain.

Slowly your hearing has returned and you hear the crackling fire around you only and coughing but you realise it's not just you. Through the smoke, Lilah emerges she looks relatively unharmed though her white gown is destroyed. She runs at you and jumps pinning you down causing you to cry out in pain. 'All you had to do, was get on that damn train, then none of this would've happened!' she's squeezing your throat. When she sees the wood sticking out of your leg she grabs it and twists it. You scream in pain and muster all your strength to punch her as hard as you can. This distraction allows you to gasp some air. 'Why won't you die!' she growls grabbing your throat and squeezing again.

The black and white blur is all you see followed by screaming and barking. Lilah is no longer on you but beside you as Genghis starts brutally biting at her face and arms. You close your eyes feeling weak you just want to go to sleep. Looking down you see the debris is gone and blood is just pumping from your leg. So this is how we die? At that moment you think of the Baroness and smile as you'd do it all again in a heartbeat if you knew it meant being with her. You close your eyes and remember.

-'Well, not at the House of Baroness it doesn't. Here.' To your shock, she's taken off her brown fur coat to offer to you but she herself is only in a thin black dress. 'You'll get cold.' you point out. You shift closer to her and she turns to look at you in confusion. 'There's room for two.' you give a warm smile. She considers and then allows you to cuddle up against her. - Her heel slips on the step she lets out a scream as she falls backward and it echoes through the empty warehouse. You are quick and manage to catch her before she hits the floor. - 'Any time, my queen.' you give her a dramatic bow. The baroness raises her eyebrows. 'When did I get a promotion?' she teases you. - 'Revenues and foot traffic of stores selling my brand.' she takes her glasses and squeezes her eyes shut. 'Tired?' you knead the arch of her foot. 'Here,' you rub her foot with your right hand and extend your left. 'Gimme it over I'll read it out to you.' - The Baroness hasn't protested so you carefully slip an arm around her waist the silk of her nightgown is fine and cold. - The baroness listens and you watch the relief slowly start to bloom over her features. 'So, your not leaving me?' You smile and gently push her skirt above her knee you press a kiss to the wound. 'Not in a thousand years.' - You rub her back soothingly she's stiff from sitting for two days straight and your focus is to relax her muscles. Her body is shaking it's not just the cold, the idea of losing you has her terrified you are her world. She strokes your hair and her heartbeat starts to calm you feel this as your head is against her chest. You entwine your legs with hers, god her skin is so soft. 'Thanks for saving me.' you run your hand up and down her back she closes her eyes inhaling your scent. 'I...' but she can't say it and you don't mind you smile against her chest. 'You too.'-

"Fire on fire would normally kill us

But this much desire, together, we're winners
They say that we're out of control and some say we're sinners
But don't let them ruin our beautiful rhythms
'Cause when you unfold me and tell me you love me
And look in my eyes
You are perfection, my only direction
It's fire on fire"

Hearing Genghis yelp you are brought out of your memories. Lilah has managed to throw the dalmatian off her beautiful face is mangled and her wedding gown is covered in blood and ashes. Struggling she gets up and sees the axe from earlier grabbing it she trails it behind her as she approaches you. 'Did you think you'd just ride off into the sunset in your perverted relationship with the dear old baroness?' she half laughs and half chokes. 'Not a chance, because after I kill you I'm gonna kill her so at least you guys will be together.' she reasons and raises the axe.

John struggled from his wheelchair with a great deal of difficulty and knelt beside the Baroness who was slowly coming too. Pushing herself into a sitting position her jaw dropped as the wave of heat from Hellman Hall emanated the fire blazed out of control. '(y/n).' her eyes brimmed with tears. '(Y/N)!' she immediately struggled to get up to run to the flames. John held her tightly in his arms stopping her. 'It's too dangerous.' One of the officers ran from the building on fire and people helped to put the flame out. The chief who was also choking as he helped his men out looked at Jonathon who had peeled himself up from the floor. 'Isn't your wife in there?' he coughed.

Jonathan looked from the chief to the fire and quickly ran in the opposite direction of the house. There was another great crash and more smoke continued to pour out. '(y/n)! The Baroness broke free from John and immediately ran towards Hellman Hall, ignoring him calling after her. She had always and would always be a selfish narcissist but she had developed a very tender spot in her heart when it came to you. You were hers, her possession, her girl, her soulmate. In all her years no one had ever touched her heart as you had, you made it beat.
