Severus hums as he crouches down in front of his tortoise's tank. He had named her Lennon, and she was his favorite thing on earth. He was listening to an old record of Queen's Good Old Lover Boy, which he had gotten in sixth year as a birthday gift from Emma's mother, Dorotiea.

He had gotten a letter from Lily today, which was sitting on the countertop waiting to be read. He and Lily had been exchanging letters for about two years, and apparently Lily got into a muggle university. But her and James didn't quite work.

That had made Severus sad. They were actually a really good couple. But he wouldn't admit that while he was in school. He was too petty.

He had already gotten dressed for work, which was really just hanging out at his book store for a full day.

Work was just as slow and calm as usual. Emma came in once, changed the music a few times and hung out for about an hour with her girlfriend, Daphne, who was a professional Quidditch player for the ΓκραντΜπρουκ Κένταυροι—the GrandBrooke Centaurs.

He read his letters that he had neglected during work, one of which being from Aurora, saying how wonderful it was in Norway. They had decided to live their life as muggles, and they had apparently adopted a small boy named Eddie. Charity had been pestering Severus to come to Norway and meet him some day soon.

Speaking of little boys, that note from Lily he had neglected reading was about her son, Harry. Apparently he was getting along quite well with Mary, Lily's girlfriend. She had been pestering him to come meet him as well.

Just as Severus set down Lily's letter, he heard the bell above the door chime. As he lifted his head, his eyes widened slightly.

"Potter?" he said.
