Severus was playing 'The Outsiders' on his shop TV, and he was looking up at the screen as a few customers walked around. He had plants hanging off the window sills outside, and a few small lanterns. It was around 4:00.
Severus took a small sip of his coffee. When the door opened, he glanced over to it, and grinned. "Hello James!" He said, "How's Euphemia?"
"She's doing better." James smiled, "she's still in the hospital, but she's getting her strength back and everything."
"Good! Do you want a coffee?" Severus didn't often offer customers coffees, but seeing as James was going through a rough patch and seemed incredibly tired, it seemed like the nicer thing to do.
"Yes please." James said. "Can I have a latte?"
"Of course!" Severus hummed happily.
Severus had spent his last years in England working at a coffee shop, so he managed to keep most of that information about coffee.
He finished making it very quick, and set it in front of James, then leaned down on the counter.
"How are you today?" James asked.
"I'm doing quite good!" Severus responded.
"And what about Lennon?"
"She's doing swell. You?"
"Tired."
Severus chuckled. "Me too."
James looked up at the screen. "Merlin, this movie is so sad." He sighed.
"Yeah."
James hung around the front counter for a while as Severus worked. He stayed there for almost three hours, which was when people stopped coming in.
Severus leaned on the countertop, head on his arms. "What are you doing?" He asked James.
James shrugged. "I don't know. Trying to find an excuse not to go to my apartment because of my roommate."
Severus smiled. "How about I take you to get food? My friend owns a restaurant."
James shrugged. "Alright. As long as the food is good."
Severus hummed. "Alright. Let me grab my stuff, I'll take you over."
