it was now day 5 of chicago. things continued as they were. you and niki kept talking, seowon continued to pick small fights every chance he got. but today was going to be different. it was going to be good.

you had planned to go downtown later that night and just have fun and go see cool things. you were very excited, as was yeji. your mom was going to stay with your aunt and all the other adults and kids while nayoung was going to take you out.

getting ready that morning felt good. it felt almost, hopeful in a way. you were in the middle of your 10am goodnight to niki as yeji peered over your shoulder and started gushing over how you totally still like him and how he totally likes you back.

"what are you talking about you're so weird" you laughed trying shove her head off of you

you were now putting your stuff in and getting into the car after saying bye to everyone and waiting for nayoung to get in the drivers seat.

"i'm excited" yeji said, fidgeting with her rings

"me too it's gonna be pretty," you started while looking out the window

"i'm sad we're leaving soon though"

yeji heard in your voice how truly disappointed you were to have to go back to real life soon. she understood. she knew you were having a hard time in seoul and just wanted to be with your family. she wanted you to feel as happy as you did here. but she also knew there were gonna be some things stopping that from happening...

it was about a half hour drive and some walking but you had arrived at navy pier.

"let's walk around ! i wanna get lots of pictures !" nayoung said

you all started walking around taking photos and trying food and buying dumb little plushies for the baby and one or two for yourselves.

"sunghoon would like it here" you said with a soft look on your face as you looked around the pier

"you can show him all the pictures when he gets a break from track!" yeji beamed at you with ice cream in hand

"yeah, i will. i miss him. i'll text him later and ask when he's done with track" yeji gave you an approving thumbs up and linked your arms pulling you along to go look at more stuff

you smiled and laughed and felt so happy just having fun there you never wanted that feeling to go away. it continued as you left the pier to go see the bean.
