leaving the last period of the day, you were sad but understanding of the cancellation. as you were waiting outside the front of the school figuring that you'd still be able to catch riki on the way out, you felt a tap on your shoulder.

"oh seojun, hi" you said after turning around

"hey, it's cold and you're about to miss the bus. do you have a ride ?" he asked smiling but with concern evident in his tone

"no i was waiting for my friend actually. we usually leave together i was gonna ask if i could walk with him." you replied not knowing this frustrated him

luckily for seojun he saw this friend of yours going on a hunt for his phone on his way out and knew he'd likely take a while.

"niki right ? i've seen you leave with him before." he replied catching you off guard for a second

"oh. yeah, do you know him ?" you asked curiously

"yeah actually. and you probably shouldn't wait on him i talked to him earlier and i passed him in the hall just now he said he had something to do after school i doubt he's leaving now." he said

"oh really ? he didn't mention anything to me"

you weren't sure how reliable this information was especially considering the fact that niki has never mentioned seojun and you've never seen them talk so whatever he might've told him could've be inaccurate.

you didn't want to leave if you weren't sure.

"don't feel bad he seemed to be in a rush. but it's been a while since the bell rang i think you should get out of here soon." he said as the cold got stronger

he was right it had been way over the usual time it takes niki to come outside. and it was cold. and what reason would seojun or niki have to lie about him being busy ?

"you have a point." you replied a bit hesitantly

"come on i'll give you a ride it's too cold to walk out here." he said leading you to the parking lot

meanwhile, niki was barely leaving the front office after asking the lost and found about his phone and waiting on them to check everything they got in that day to no avail. he had basically accepted that his phone was gone. great way to end off the school day, but at least there was still tutoring.

he was a bit confused when y/n was not waiting where she usually was for him but then again he did take longer than normal and she might've texted him she was waiting somewhere else not knowing his phone was lost.

he decided to go looking. for her.

seojuns eyes locked on a blonde boy coming out of the front exit as he was opening the passengers door for y/n.

"i left something inside my locker i better go get it before we go" he said with his hand on the door looking down at you in the seat

"do you want me to come with ?"

"no that's okay it's cold you wait here i'll be right back and i'll leave the keys with you" he replied quickly

he shut the door and flashed a quick smile before turning around and going back towards the front entrance he just saw riki re-enter.

he saw him looking around in the bench areas by the front entrance and instantly knew who he was looking for.

"niki ! hey what are you still doing here i thought you would've left a while ago" he said with a fake smile

"oh hey seojun.  i lost my phone and i had to go ask lost and found." niki replied not focused on the conversation but rather the halls
