While Owen finished brushing his teeth, he could hear that his brother was making some strange noises while inside his room. They sounded as if it was a squealing animal. "Carter! Enough!" The mother shouted from the parent's bedroom. "I thought being annoying is good! Those words are written on one of my big brother's shirts!" Carter giggled to himself. "Being bad is good!" Francine yelled from her bedroom. Owen quickly got his stuff ready for the day. His lunch was all packed up in his lunch kit. He had his gym clothes in his backpack. Except, he didn't recognized the words on his uniform. The name of his school was written backwards. Owen felt confused and scared. "Come one everyone, are we all ready to go!" The father boomed from the door to the garage. Owen quickly backed up his gym clothes and brought his backpack. He quickly put on his shoes. The father waited until everybody was ready. Owen noticed everything was normal about his parents until he had a wide smile on his face.

Carter was already outside in the garage. "Hurry up slow pokes. Something exciting is going to be happening at school today!" He shouted. The parents and the rest of the family joined Carter next to the car. They all boarded it. Owen sat in his usual seat. The only thing that was out of the ordinary was that Francine was sitting on the right seat, and Carter was sitting on the seat on the opposite side of Owen. The mother was driving the children to school. The real thing that really confused Owen was that the route that was taken was not the way to his school. While driving, Francine shared some news. "It's great that we could get to school early today. There's going to be a punishment served today." "Same at my school. In a SK class a classmate was caught throwing toys around." Carter adduced with excitement. Owen was a bit creeped out. "What did the student at your high school do wrong?" Carter asked, feeling somewhat interested. "Well, he was caught spraying graffiti on the gym walls. I heard that my friend is going to drop ants in a plexiglass tank while he is sitting on a wooden chair. The first stop of the day was Francine's high school. Owen thought about things for a moment. He knew that things were not right. His big sister wouldn't want to talk about scaring somebody with ants. He then thought about the eighth grader who was in the pool with the alligators. Owen felt that his family was strange still as his sister was dropped off. As Francine was standing on the sidewalk, she gave a scary like smile to her parents. "Have a great day." Owen's big sister said as she went to school. After she took a few steps on the sidewalk leading to her high school, the car drove away. "What movie should we watch with the kids dear?" The mother asked the father.

"Why don't we watch a movie that has an invasion in it? I am excited when hear about an invasion." The mother turned around and smiled at Carter and Owen for a second. "That sounds like a great idea. I hope that I can get a chance to..." The father began. "Begin what?" Owen queried with a confused expression on his face. The father replied ten seconds later, saying "That I can't wait to start work again today." Owen was again befuddled. He looked over at his brother. Carter had a normal expression on his face. Owen closed his eyes. He couldn't stand seeing people smile so sinisterly. Then there was the sound of the school bells. Owen quickly opened his eyes. The car was approaching his school. "Owen, are you awake already?" Francine questioned as she looked at him. "You didn't even bothered to scoot over to Carter's seat. Now you're awake today?" Owen looked around. He was wearing a T-shirt with his middle school logo on it. "What was I doing? I'm really confused." Owen declared. "Did you have a bad dream?" The father grilled him. "A really weird one." Owen replied as he opened the car door to the school walkway. "See you later." He said as he walked up to the school's door. He managed to get one foot in the hallway towards his locker when the school bell rang. Owen hurried to get to his locker. At class everything seemed to be normal. The school announcements were made, and the teacher taught English class. Then at lunchtime, Owen went to sit with his teammates for gym class. He chatted about what a great game they had during gym class. Owen wanted to play with them during recess. All of his teammates agreed. They all made plans to meet on the soccer field. When Owen was preparing to go outside, he took a short glance down the hallway to the stairs. His eyes were wide open when he saw somebody who looked just like him. He had a normal expression on his face. He waved to Owen and went down the stairs. Owen quickly closed his locker and ran after him. He could see that he went towards the door that went outside. When Owen reached the doors he quickly opened them, and the boy who looked like him was gone. It was as if he had vanished like a ghost. "Owen! What are you doing there?" His gym teacher demanded as she stood in the doorway connecting the doorway of the hallway to the stairwell.
