Owen was fast asleep. He was dreaming about playing a game of soccer with his teammates. The doppelganger walked into the kitchen. He put down his backpack and opened it. His hands were searching for trough it until it touched a device that appeared to be a set of binoculars. Owen's twin took out a tiny flashlight out of his backpack. He turned it on for a little while. He found what he was looking for. A set of night vision goggles. The doppelganger put them on. The night vision goggles were turned on. The small flashlight was turned off and put back into his backpack. The backpack was zipped up. The doppelganger shuffled his footsteps across the floor. He was so prudent that he might wake somebody up. The twin opened a few doors in the hallway of the house to see which one was Owen's room. When he found Owen snoozing away, his twin slipped inside. The door was tacitly closed as he went in.
The twin moved up to the bed didn't see anything that was out of place. The twin bent his legs slowly. He continued to bend his legs slowly until they were touching the floor. The doppelganger looked under Owen's bed. He didn't see any gadgets there. The twin put his backpack on the floor and began to look for something. He then pulled out a device that looked like a smartphone. The twin pressed one app on the device, a new screen was shown on the device. It was a red screen. It showed an image of the room that the camera of the smartphone was pointing to. The phone's camera was first aimed at Owen while he slept. The phone's camera lens were pointing all over the blanket, pillow, and mattress. The red screen showed Owen and his pyjamas under the covers. The twin then carefully bended his knees again. He had the camera lens of the phone pointing under the bed. The red screen showed the walls where the bed touched. Owen's stuff that was kept under the bed would normally block anybody from looking at the bottom of the walls. The twin got himself on his knees and used the phone's app on everything else in the room. The only thing he didn't used the app on was the closet. It was the last thing the double searched. The phone with the app on, had it's camera pointed at the closet. The closet doors weren't there in the red screen on the phone. There was some bright yellowish green objects shown on the phone's screen. The double had a smile on his face. He was about to advance to the closet doors when there was a light that turned on the hallway. Owen's twin held onto his backpack and quickly turned a knob on a device on his belt. Owen's twin disappeared slowly, but he was gone before the bedroom door was opened. Owen's mother was standing in the doorway. She turned on the light. The mother let out a sigh of relief to see Owen was still there. Owen groaned as the light was on in his room.
He sat up on his bed, suddenly awaked. The mother felt a lot better. "What's going on? Mom? Why are you waking me up in the night?" Owen asked. "Did you unlock the door?" She demanded with an anxious look on her face. "No Mom. Is there something wrong?" Owen answered. "Somebody unlocked the door. And I'm worried that there might be a burglar in the house." Owen's eyes opened wide. "Just stay in bed, I'm going to check up on Carter." The mother said as she ran down the hallway. Owen wanted to go back to sleep but the light in his room was making him feel like staying awake. The father came along in hallway. He opened the closet doors and looked inside the closet. He took out Owen's backpack and put it on the floor next to where Owen could reach it with his right hand. He left the closet door opened and continued to look around the house. Francine and Carter were both bothered by being waken up during the night. The police came, they went to investigate in every cranny and corner of the house. They didn't find anything. Owen and his siblings had to stand in the hallway while they wait for the search to be over. Owen was waiting so that he can go back sleep. The twin had taken out a joystick like device before the police would come inside the house. He pressed the button that was on top of the device. Owen's double began to hear the sound of school bells. The surroundings of the room started to change around him. When the police talked to the parents, the children just wanted to go back to sleeping. The police left soon afterwards. "I'm thankful that's all over." The father said. "Maybe one of us has left the front door unlocked by accident." Francine suggested. "I don't think so. We don't use that door a lot." The mother reasoned. "Can we go back to bed now?" Carter demanded. "Yes. Just be sure that your windows are firmly shut." The father advised. Francine went to Carter's room to see if the window was closed properly. Owen had his window closed properly. The boy then went back to bed.
