Carter had his head slouched down. Almost as if he were in big trouble. Owen saw that Carter was smiling as his head was looking at the hallway floor. Owen closed the door to his room. He jumped when he saw Frank standing in the middle of his bedroom. "Wow, how did you do that?" Owen asked him, only using a whispering sort of voice. Frank pulled a box out his pocket. It was a rectangular square like prism. "This is one of the two gadgets that I stole from my school. It can make you invisible. I have heard the news that your twin has one of these." Frank responded as he gave it to Owen. Frank explained how the device worked. "Just turn the knob on your device and it should make you invisible to everybody else." Frank explained. "Which way should I turn the knob?" Owen interrogated. "Just turn it to the right." Owen turned the knob on the device to the right. All of a sudden, the device made Owen's entire body disappear. His hands were nowhere to be seen. Frank moved away from his backpack and said, "Go and pick up your backpack." Frank proposed as he watched. Owen felt a bit freaked out from inside since he couldn't see where his own feet were. He grabbed one of his backpack handles.
Owen picked up the backpack. He held it in midair. To anybody else who saw it. It looked as if a ghost was holding the backpack. Owen dropped the backpack on the bed. "This is too cool." Owen then picked up his lunch kit. It too, appeared as if it was floating in midair. "Owen, where's your lunch kit? I need to clean it out." Francine yelled from the kitchen. Owen turned the knob on the device clockwise. The device made his visible again. "Don't worry about me Owen, I'll be hiding out here. Nobody would even know that I'm here. There's another piece of information that I want to tell you about." Frank adduced as he turned the knob on his device to the right. Owen carried his lunch kit to the kitchen. When he got there, Carter was doing his homework on the dining room table. The mother was helping him do it. They did some math equations. The father and Francine were working to get supper ready. They were preparing meatballs and some mashed potatoes. The father also got a bag of frozen vegetables ready for cooking too. Owen put his lunch kit on the kitchen counter. "Thank you Owen." Francine told him. "You're welcome." Owen replied as he slowly backed away from the kitchen. He turned around and walked towards his bedroom. As soon as Owen closed the door, Frank appeared. He stood in the middle of the room just like before. Owen nearly jumped. "How many times are you going to spook me like that?" He nearly shouted. Frank shushed at Owen. "Do you want your parents, brother, or sister to know that I'm here?" He whispered to him. Owen wondered how he knew that he could have a sister and a brother. "I already know about your family. Your twin has been here every night ever since you first came to my dimension." Frank assured. "Why?" Owen wondered. "So that they could figure out how to quickly turn them evil, just like everybody else in your school."
Owen looked at him with his mouth wide open. "Why can't they just leave us alone? In fact, why they didn't they turn me bad already?" He interrogated Frank. Frank looked at Owen. He knew that Owen was frightened so far. "That's what they've been trying to do in my home dimension. Since the first time we've met in the janitor's closet. They've been trying to capture you and me. I think they want to punish me for helping you. I've been going inside the school when it's not open. I've been stealing the gadget that your twin has been using." He explained. "But why didn't they want to turn me bad during the first time I was at your dimension? It would have been a perfect plan to take over my dimension." Owen pointed out. "Owen, the first few times that you were at my dimension were tests. The teachers and the students wanted to see if the technology used for transporting people through dimensions was working properly. They also wanted to know if your digital clone was going to be working properly. There was a few glitches during the first two times that you've came to my dimension. They wanted to make sure that the people on your world would think that the clone was really you." "Who do you think the dimension wants to turn evil next so that they could control this world? I mean would that plan help the invasion a lot faster?" Owen asked. Frank shook his head. "That wouldn't work entirely. You see. The way that the invasion would work on your world were to turn one person evil and turn group of people evil. They would act as normal people that you would see in your world. The groups of people that would be turned bad would have to work undercover just so that nobody would ever suspect them. If we turned everybody on one continent evil in one day, then the people from other countries would be suspicious of them." Frank reasoned.
Owen gulped. "Let me get this straight, the invasion would happen slowly. With groups of people turning other people evil. The people of this world would have to rebel against the people that would invade. Then one side would win the fight." Frank shook his head. "Here's where things get a little tricky. There would be people fighting back to make sure that their world doesn't get invaded. The machine is going to be repurposed so that it could fit into somebody's backpack, or even in their pocket. We do have technology that would allow us to travel to your world easily. There's a high chance that there would be nothing in our way in creating better and new pieces of technology that would help us to invade other dimensions." He spoke with a serious and whispering tone of voice. "What kind of new technology that you might have that might help conquering my world easy?" Owen pumped, now feeling a whole lot more uneven. "Alright everybody is supper time!" Francine yelled from the kitchen. "Gotta go. Don't forget to hide those new devices I gave you. Not only your family would want to take them away, but I heard that your twin might want to take away those devices. He plans to keep you trap on the parallel universe long enough until you become as bad as he is." Frank warned. He pulled out a joystick like device from his pocket. "By the way, we call this a universal phaser. It can help you teleport between dimensions." Frank pressed the button on his joystick like device and faded away as he vanished into thin air. Owen quickly took all of the devices given to him and stuffed them in his backpack. He then put the backpack in his closet. Owen proceeded to the kitchen table. He then saw that his plate was not served yet. Francine had the plate put at his spot at the table. The father, Carter, and the mother were already seated at the table. They each waited as their plates were all served at the spots they were sitting at. When ketchup was the only thing forgotten at the table, Owen got out of his seat to get the bottle of ketchup. When the ketchup was at the table, Owen was the first one get some of it on his meatballs. He then passed it around. Carter had put some ketchup on his meatballs too. He also felt it was funny to spill a little of the condiment on his potatoes. "You're very strange." Francine remarked as she was little bit disgusted from watching him playing a little with the ketchup bottle.
Owen eats his meatballs and thinks that his twin might be trying to get him captured at any minute now. Owen's double sneaks up to the house. He peeked a little into the kitchen window. He could see Owen enjoying a nice supper with his family. The doppelganger wanted to find out where Owen was hiding the gadgets given to him. The double didn't think that Owen would have any of his gadget at the dining room table. Since they could be easily discovered by any one of Owen's family members. The double waited till after the family had dessert and went to watch a movie in the living room. The doppelganger dropped out of sight. He took something out of his backpack. It looked a credit card except it was ten cards thicker than a regular credit card. The numbers on the credit card were upside down and looked more like shapes that numbers. There is a number three on the card except there was a triangle at bottom attached to the lower end of the number. The top of the eight had the shape of a square rather than a circle. There were seven different numbers on the card that were upside down. The card had a black plastic piece on one of the short thin rectangles that made up the card like shape. The card was placed next to the keyhole of the door. The black part that was touching the hole where the keyhole was turned green. The green light went back and forth on the card. It was as if it was scanning the hole. Meanwhile, the family enjoyed the movie. It was a Disney movie called "Lilo and Stitch". The family laughed while watching it. While the credits were rolling, the parents asked Carter, Francine, and Owen if they liked it. Owen said that it was a great movie. The thick card like piece of technology that Owen's twin had, finished scanning the keyhole. Owen waited for his turn to have a bath. He was in his room and was relieved inside himself to see that the devices were still in his backpack, hiding in the closet. The card like gadget splits into two parts. One big half on the vice popped off. Inside the gadget was a key, a house key. The twin waited until the parents, Owen and his siblings went to bed. The lights in the house were now off. The doppelganger snatched the opportunity. He took the house key that the device made and used it on the front door. He carefully unlocked the door. The knob was pulled on the door. The double snuck into the house.
