Medalyn walked downstairs to the ball party feeling ashamed, she'd got to win the dare anyways, she walked to meet Darwin in who was standing in the party's bar and laughing at the jokes Jason a course mate who volunteered to be the bar tender was telling him and others there, she taped him softly and closed her eyes, head down in shame, Darwin turned to her laughing, he was every girl's dream as they called him in the university, he slowly placed his hand to cover his open mouth and chuckled, he released himself and held her by the arm, she looked at him annoyed, he nodded his head slowly in the negative without blinking, taking a good stare at her dress
"You look beautiful, my darling.." he didn't complete his statement when Medalyn tried slapping his face but missed as he dodged, Darwin laughs at her
"Look what you turn your girlfriend into....I'm supposed to be the centre of attraction for my beauty....but I'm the centre of attraction for waring such garbage....I look like a garbage queen....you're lucky you didn't dare me to ware this for prom" Darwin just kept laughing
"I didn't know you'd do the dare"
"What do you take me for....I can't let you win me in a dare"
"Yah right....sure....I'll keep on making hilarious dares and laugh at how you do them......." Darwin smiled as he stared at her cute face, then he held her by the waist and moved closer, she could tell he was letting his hand go lower than her waist slowly, he bit his lower lip and stared at her lip "maybe I could try daring you to do me a favour...." Medalyn gave him a tough look, he chuckled "you look beautiful even with this dress on Ma-darlyn" Medalyn blushed and laughed
"You sound so serious..." She gently removed his hand from her butt and smiled at his dissatisfied expression "and it's Medalyn not Ma-darlyn"
"We're dating but you never let me touch you....and yet you act like you can do anything" Medalyn just stared at him, he released her and ordered her favourite drink, 'Coke' while he ordered water for himself, he turned to her and gave her the glass of cold coke, she smiled and took it from him, she sipped from it and dropped it "all we do is act like friends...." He said again and drank from his water
"Friends don't kiss" she said defending herself, and looking away, Darwin chuckled
"Friends with benefit does more than just kissing"
"You talk like even if I don't kiss you it won't be any difference" Medalyn said and laughed "youuuu" she said holding his soft cheek and shaking his head softly with it, she released him "maybe if you decide to keep me and get married....but not when we're in university" Darwin chuckled
"What if you decide to break up with me?" he asked rubbing his cheeks
"You know I can't" Darwin smiled
"Let's go somewhere else...." He escorted her and they both walked to a corner far from the gigantic dj speaker, he had increased the volume and Darwin could not hear her clearly, Darwin held her hand and played with it, she stared at those dancing to the music "I don't want to lose you....." He said without looking at her, now she looked at him "it's in movies they usually say stuffs like this but....I want us to be together for a long time....very long time" he smiled "I don't care if you let me touch you or not...I just want to be by you.....always" he looked at her, Medalyn chucked
"What is this?...why are you confessing your love to me all of a sudden....do you have cancer?" she said slightly laughing,Darwin smiled, he knew he didn't want to just talk to her that night and make her laugh, he also knew those words got into Medalyn seeing the way she was trying to look away shy, he slowly moved closer to her and kissed her
That feeling, Medalyn thought as they kissed, the feeling of passion anytime his lip touched hers, it was always like that, but this time it felt stronger, maybe because of his words, she placed her hand softly to check if his heart raced as much as hers, and off cause it did, Darwin was an emotional guy who believed love can be expressed more than with words, he tightened his grip on her waist and let her squeeze his suit, Medalyn knew she had to stop before things got out of hand, before her passion takes down her principle, before she compromises "Darwin..." Was all she could say, Darwin slowly placed her against the wall and ran his hand through her face kissing her from her neck back to her lips, he couldn't stop, or he didn't, he just wanted to be with her tonight, at least a special night, but then he had to respect her "Darwin..." even if he knew she was only trying to hold herself "Darwin stop pls" he stoped, even if he knew she still wanted it, he chuckled
"What do you think about tonight?" Medalyn was still trying to catch her breath not looking at him
"How...do you mean?"
"I can literally hear your heartbeat" Medalyn stole a glance at him but almost immediately looked away, he moved closer to her ears, Medalyn thought the world stopped at that moment, his breathe touched her direct skin and made her hair stand "always remember....tonight was the night you wished you'd be with me" he pulled away and watched her expression of shock smiling, her cheek became red "I guess you know what I mean with the way you're blushing....... nd I guess I'm right" Medalyn looked at him but could not reply, she watched Darwin lick his lip and smile
"I really might be the one to kill you Darwin" he laughed
"That again?....even if you were paid more than astronauts you wouldn't"
"I wonder why you're so sure" Darwin laughed as he watched Medalyn try to act tough and walk away
"Darlyn...." he pulled her back "and were do you think you're going?"
"My friends are here....I should go meet them" he released her
"I'm with my friends watching you" Medalyn nodded smiling and walked to meet Tess and Taylor, they both looked at her weirdly
"Are you the one now cleaning in place of the genitor?" Tess asked scrutinizing Medalyn on the kneel fled gown that looked more like it had been used for years
"What the garbage is this?" Taylor asked laughing
"Darwin dared me to ware it"
"Is there a death sentence for anyone who looses a dare" Taylor said now serious "you always do what you're dared to do....you look horrible babes" Medalyn remembered Darwin saying she was beautiful even with the dress, she smiled
"At least my face makes the dress look better than just bad" both Tess and Taylor rolled their eyes
"Let's go get some drinks" Taylor said happily as the three walk to the party bar, Medalyn stool a glance at Darwin, he was now surrounded by friends and other popular guys, he too looked at her and caught her staring, he winked at her and saw her blush then look away before turning to his friends and joining them to laugh.
