"I know some of you are busy with the tasks I gave out a couple of days ago, but this meeting is important. I got the GPS information from the force in Jackson heights. They tracked the flight from here...to here...to here...then Washington."

Cameron pointed at the table map of the United States. The map was littered with thumb tacks that represented the states the jet carrying Sha'Kera had passed over. Washington had been marked with an 'X'.

"We should split into two teams," Carson said.

"Why?"

"Jessie is missing. We found out his son's name. It's Liam. The same Liam who dated Sha'Kera back when she began her singing career."

"The one who robbed her and disappeared?"

"Yup. Sha'Kera, Hayden, and I went to school with him," Derek said. "After he disappeared, I moved back in with my parents. His parents were friends with mine, so I was always around his family. His little sister works for me. She's missing just like her parents and eldest brother."

"Do you think they were kidnapped, too?"

"It's a possibility. Liam may want them out of the way."

"Even if he kidnapped his family, we don't know where he is." Asher pointed at the map. "They made a stop in Washington. There's no way they stayed there." He slid his finger across Canada and Alaska into the Beaufort and Chukchi Seas. "There's nothing there, so we can only assume he crossed borders into Canada or he chose to stay in the United States."

"Where?"

"I don't know. Wayne also has power in Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Nevada. They could be in any of those states."

"What about Alaska?" Fulsom asked. Everyone stared at him in shock. "He could be there. No one really goes there. Of course, he could also be hiding on any one of the Alaskan Isles."

"There is that..." Cameron began thinking up a plan. "Where the heck did you come from? Is Jackson here, too?"

"Huh...no." Fulsom chuckled. "He sent me here on his behalf. He has other things to worry about outside of the country. We've been after Liam before Sha'Kera's parents resurfaced. He used to travel between Alaska and England for a while. He stopped two years ago."

"You think he's still in Alaska?"

"Maybe. No telling where he's holed up now."

"Well, there's nothing northwest of Alaska. He'd hit Antartica before long. For all we know, it's really inhabitable."

Derek was afraid they wouldn't believe Liam hadn't gone to Alaska. They would waste their time going there, but Liam wouldn't be in immediate danger. If Derek was able to continue to lead them astray, he could warn Liam about them. Moving her to another country would be too easy.

"How about we send out two teams?" Carson suggested. "Our teams are already stretched thin, so we need to be sure about where we want to go. Can't be wasting resources."

"One to Alaska and one to Britain?"

"We need to find out where Jessie is, too. I doubt he's in England anymore. Washington."

"Ah...makes sense."

Asher's finger slid back to Alaska. "If he is there, then where would he hide? Maybe an island right next to the mainland? He has to get resources somehow."

"He could easily have someone fetch anything for him."

"Fulsom, you seem well informed about Liam." Cameron peered at him suspiciously as he walked around the table. "What do you know that we don't?"
