"JUST STOP ALREADY!!!" I shouted. My voice came out louder than expected. The echoing made everything calm down instantly. Percy and Alex just stood to my side a bit dazed. I couldn't help myself I was becoming furious at everything around me I just really needed to let go. Nothing but a few potty mouthed ghosts had easily set me off. Especially with my current situation, nu-uh was I going to let these guys go. "Now tell me where is Daisy!" My voice was still loud, it didn't seem to be mine. It felt like someone else was in charge of my body. It didn't bother me one bit because I had enough. A few ghosts began to laugh but one glance from me into their general direction made them point down the hall on our left. The laughing instantly stopped too. "Thank you. Now show us the way." I told the ghosts who were laughing.
"No way!" One growled back. I glared at the spirit. He challenged me and I wasn't going to step down. I walked towards him, in a marching type pace. He gulped quietly but still tried to stand tall against me.
"You are going to show me whether you like it or not." I felt my mouth twitch like a dog showing his fierce fangs. I gave him a growl right back. I didn't know where all this anger was coming from but I was really starting to like it. The spirit gulped once more and tried to stand even taller than he was before. He tried to be a bit taller than me but with his crumbling legs I just couldn't help but smirk at his attempt. That threw him off guard and made him fall on his behind.
"Ok ok!" He gave up and started walking (or floating?) towards the end of the hall. I instantly started to follow him. Percy and Alex still stood there watching and trying to analyze what had just happened. I glance back at them and they jerked a bit back in fear. I tilt my head and give them a soft giggle.
"I'm not going to hurt you guys! Come on." I waved them over and pointed to the glowing in the distance. "He's not going to wait for you guys!" I ran after the ghost. I could hear their footsteps starting to catch up to me. 'Thank the gods they were listening to me.' I kept running until I caught up to the ghost. The ghost continues to go straight without hesitating or looking at the other hallways. 'Good, he must know where he's going.' I continue to follow him and the boys finally caught up to me. They were both out of breath, well Alex was more out of breath than Percy. Percy was built up for this. I looked over my shoulder to look at them. A thing that got my attention was Percy's face. He seemed a bit worried and kinda sad. He looked up and saw me staring. He changed his expression to a smile. A very bad one. The spirit stops all of a sudden. I couldn't tell until I went past his body. "What the?!" I stop and turn. He points to a light in the distance.
"She's over there. She's heavily guarded. Be warned." And with that the ghost vanished. Alex muffled out a small scream. We both look at hi, and he becomes nervous.
"I-I'm still not use to seeing ghosts..." He scratches his head awkwardly. I smile at him and get near. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." He looks at me worriedly. I shake my head.
"Let's go get our friend." I smile hopelessly. I wasn't sure if she was my friend anymore. Not with everything that happened, but I still kept my hope up just in case. We followed the light that grew bigger and brighter. It seemed to be far but then I caught a glimpse of a figure. "Daisy?" I whisper, but then the figure became two, then three, then finally four.
"That's not Daisy." Alex said as he pulls out his sword from no where and I brought out mine. "More enemies?!" Alex just wasn't having it. He didn't seem to really enjoy the fact that we had to fight again. We crept up to the figures which turned out to be mermen in armor. "What the?! Don't they like die without water?" We hear a small twinkle of water. "Great... and there's water near by." One managed to see us and it began to growl a bit. "Even better, they saw us!" Alex rose up his sword. Two of the mermen came at us but then stopped when they saw Percy.
"Hail Poseidon's Son," They both dropped on one knee. That made me arch an eyebrow. "Sorry we almost attacked you boss. We guarded her like you said." Now that triggered it. Percy walked forward which made me and Alex step aside. We both watched in horror as Percy went to the mermen's side and looked at us. His face seemed to be a bit troubled. We both realized what was going on. This was a set up! I rose my sword against Percy. He chuckled and rose his hand. He whistled and the sword in my hand burned.
"Ow!" I released it and began to blow on my hands. The sword was rigged. He had set us up. As I blew on my hands, Percy had a chance and grabbed my arms. He put riptide against my neck which warned Alex to back off or else. Alex lowered his sword and backs up by just a little bit. I glanced over my shoulder. That's when I saw Daisy. "Daisy!" I shouted to get her attention. She was sitting with her knees to her face. Maybe she was crying or maybe sleeping. She hears me shout her name which makes her snap out of it. She stands up to run towards the cell bars. Percy snaps at Daisy to stand back. He shows her that I'm his hostage. It doesn't convince her to go back. In fact she doesn't respond to it at all. She still stood strong.
"Michelle! Alex! This was ALL Percy's idea!" Daisy shouts it out. Alex drops his sword in complete shock. I couldn't believe what I just heard either. Percy growls a bit but still lets Daisy talk a bit. "He made sure all of this happens! I know he won't hurt you guys but-"
"THAT'S ENOUGH!" Percy roars over her. I felt a drip of water hit my cheek then roll down my cheek bone down to my chin. I glance up to see Percy crying. "I... I had to!" He cries. "I had received a.. vision..." He begins to say but the tears keep rolling down. "Supposedly Tartarus is rising..." Which was a shock to Alex. "I know.. It's not possible but," he takes a deep breath in and out. "I am going to join him." He say straight-faced. He gives a small grin that shows to us his emotions. Pain. Anger. And fear. "See, I even have control over Hellhounds!" He shouts and a Hellhound appears. He begins to laugh but Daisy interrupts.
"Tell them the FULL truth Percy!!" She shouts. Percy becomes shocked and panics a bit. I feel his grip lighten up so does Alex. He rose his sword again to hit Percy's hand that gripped riptide with the hilt. Percy drops riptide in response which released me as well. I jumped in front of Percy to grab riptide first. That included a roll in with it that caught him off guard. I continued to roll away from Percy. Lucky us the mermen didn't attack. Alex ran to my side with his sword held high. Percy turns to Daisy to mumble something to her. He throws something at her then turns to laugh at us.
"Riptide will always return to me." He grins then the mermen attack us. Alex took the mermen to the left and I took the right with riptide. The sound of swords hitting echoed through the hallways. Little by little a few glowing around us appeared. 'These pesky ghosts are so annoying!' I thought which pumped up my anger. I slashed and jabbed at the two mermen that were in my way. One got the impact and ended up evaporating. That's when riptide vanished from my hand. I was done for. I had no weapon and there was still one mermen left. I stared at the mermen who raised his spear. A few ghost cheered for the mermen to end me. I gulped down then closed my eyes. The ghosts then boo'd and called for a rematch. 'Huh?' I looked up to see the mermen with a sword or knife going through his stomach area. I saw Daisy on the other side of the sword. She gave me a reassuring smile that I was alright. I sighed and sat to the floor. She motioned her head down the hall. The ghosts began to disappear one by one just like how they appeared.
"He managed to get away when you two were fighting." She sighed. She pat my back. "Are you ok?" She asked me with worry. I look up at her and tears began to form. She sat down next to me. I cried on her shoulder. Everything just went so wrong so fast. She patted my hair and sang a song softly to me.
